Set in the heart of the vibrant East End, the award-winning Town Hall Hotel marries Edwardian, art-decor and architectural splendor with cutting-edge design and a devotion to the pleasures of life, making it the perfect location for the elegant afro chic bridal photoshoot inspired by French chic but with a modern African twist.

According to the Creative Director for the shoot Seyi Olusanya of Once Upon a Destination;

To help achieve this look we called upon the expertise of a bridal stylist, who we call “bride’s best-kept secret” Ajoke Savage of Senamin Savage, who did a great job of styling the stunning wedding gowns by Kosibah Ian Stuart Blewcoat.

The Council Chambers with it’s Grade II listed interior, its distinguished Art Deco furnishings of polished oak, teak & fine leather seating have been restored with exceptional attention to detail and it gave us the perfect backdrop for one of the dresses designed by multi award winning Master Couturier Yemi Osunkoya of Kosibah ‘Melpomene’ tulle has a capped sleeved bodice with hand-stitched Swarovski embellished lace appliques.

Fully gathered skirt with 8 layers of tulle and cathedral length train work with a black grosgrain belt and a pearl and diamante brooch. The second dress ‘Odile; a strapless gown with a fitted bodice with an integral corset.

Ruched tulle detailing and tulle ruffled on the neckline with tulle fishtail skirt and black lace appliques hand stitched onto the tulle was complimented well by a fascinator hat by Sophie Beale Millinery.

We were so delighted to have the queen of Sugarcraft Elizabeth Solaru of Elizabeth’s Cake Emporium create a collection of Art Deco-inspired cakes, cupcakes & iced biscuits using our color scheme of Ivory, Black & Gold.

The intricate details on each handcrafted cake fitted so well within the glass room at The Town Hall the beautiful Art Deco inspired menu, place cards and invitations by the ever so creative team at Intricate Creations complimented the table setting so well.

The striking hairstyles were created by the talented James Catalano who worked perfectly with Celebrity makeup Artist Lolase Akwue who created the flawless makeup on the models.

For an evening wedding after party attire inspiration the Ian Stuart evening gowns were styled so elegantly by Ajoke Savage.

We have to say a big thank you to the photography Team Nek Vardikos and videography team Urban Cinematography for capturing the details and all the behind the scene antics. Thank you so much to the rest of the team for always bringing their ” A” card to the table
