K1 De Ultimate (born Olasunkanmi Wasiu Ayinde Marshal and also knows as Kwam 1), is a Nigerian Fuji musician. He is known for introducing the genre to the sounds of keyboards, saxophones and guitars.
He is celebrating his 60th birthday today and to celebrate the living legend, we are sharing some of his songs from his “The Ultimate” album.
This album was a game changer for him as was “Talazo 84“.
Fun fact: In 1994, Wasiu was crowned the King of Fuji music, and officially re-named King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal the First (KWAM 1) by the King of Oyo in Ibadan.
