37-year old Ethiopian Bethlehem Tilahun Alemu is the CEO and founder of soleRebels, a company that is regarded as the fastest growing footwear brand in Africa.

soleRebels, in over 12years of its existence has gained international recognition and is often referred to as Africa’s version of Nike with a socially conscious ethos.

In an interview with Ndani TV, Bethlehem explained how her childhood inspired her to start the business, how she started with just 5 people and have grown to have over 600 staff, her vision for the brand and her regards for African Women.

The mother of three describes her husband as the biggest supporter of her career and  has received many honors and accolades, including being named as one of CNN’s “12 Female Entrepreneurs Who Changed the Way We Do Business”.
