ALUU4: Rivers Court Sentences 3 to Death, Discharges 4 Others

ALUU4: Rivers Court finds 3 Guilty of Murder - BellaNaijaA Rivers State High Court has found three persons guilty of the 2012 murder of Lloyd Michael, Ugonna Ibuzor, Tekenah Elkanah, and Chidiaka Biringa, popularly referred to as the ALUU4.

According to Punch, the court was presided over Justice Letam Nyordee, who discharged and acquitted the four others accused of the murder.

The Sun reports that Justice Nyordee, sentenced the convicts Lucky Orji, Ikechukwu Louis Amadi (aka Kapoon) and Chinasa David Ogbada  to death.

The news of the four University of Port Harcourt students had made the rounds in October 2012, after they were lynched to death by a mob.

Justice Nyordee told the prosecution it failed to prove its case of murder against the 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th accused persons beyond every reasonable doubt, and so they were discharged and acquitted.

The judge however found the first three accused persons guilty of the murder of the four boys.
