Awon Golding Millinery is proud to present its newest bridal collection, inspired by 1970s glamour and inimitable style icon, Bianca Jagger. Jagger’s independent spirit and nonconformist attitudes are channelled to create a series of hats, veils and headpieces for the modern bride looking to make a unique statement on her special day.

Using sumptuous satins, silks and tulle, Awon has crafted a collection consisting of a variety of wearable yet unique pieces. Each piece is lovingly handmade in her studio in East London. About the Designer

Fun, fresh and feminine hats and headpieces. Awon Golding is an award-winning London-based milliner who has spent an eclectic youth in India, Hong Kong and England. She draws on her multicultural heritage to inspire dynamic headpieces. Working with bold shapes to create dramatic silhouettes, each piece is handcrafted in her London studio incorporating modern materials and traditional techniques.

Working as a fashion writer and magazine editor in Hong Kong, she eventually decamped to London to pursue her dream of millinery. After an apprenticeship with acclaimed milliner Edwina Ibbotson, she went on to receive a Distinction in Millinery from the Kensington and Chelsea College. A job designing hats and soft accessories for high street giants Topshop and River Island followed, which eventually lead to Awon setting up her own eponymous label.

London’s fashion elite was soon to recognise Awon’s flair and creative talent when she was selected by world renowned milliner Stephen Jones and the British Fashion Council to showcase at London Fashion Week as part of Headonism, a platform for the UK’s finest up-and-coming millinery talent.

She creates two seasonal collections a year – Spring/Summer and Autumn/Winter – an annual bridal collection, and private commissions for a wide range of customers. She’s worked with international brands such as Guerlain, De Beers, and Wedgwood, and her hats are available for purchase at the world’s best stores such as London’s Fortnum & Mason.
