About the Conference
The conference aims at empowering young women between the ages of 18 and 35 to discover purpose, live up to their full potential and contribute their quota to social change and the world at large.
The One-Day conference, which will be held on the 15th of July at Naval Dockyard Conference Center, Victoria Island, Lagos, will attract women from all walks of life gathered to engage on matters pertaining to the transformation of women as they listen to and learn from the stories of women who have gone ahead to “become”.
Having reached over 1000 women through its events and over 50,000 via its social media platforms, the initiative has generated overwhelming feedback from women inspired by and through it.
Speakers for this third edition include TY Bello – Renowned Photographer and Singer; Tope Olagbegi – CEO, Sixth Sense Interiors; Ijeoma Ndukwe – CEO, Bubez Foods and Eno Jerry – Youth Pastor and Human Resource Consultant, CEO Jeno Management Solutions.
The Conference will also feature a girl-talk panel discussion titled “The Woman Breadwinner”.
The panelists are young women who are all breaking barriers in their various fields. Francesca Uriri is the founder of Leading Ladies Africa. Nkem Onwudiwe is Founder of Her Network; Laju Iren is the founder of Have You Eaten Foundation, and Mercy Akamo is the Convener, TEDxGbagada.

Why I want to attend Becoming.
First, I’m a woman who is chasing purpose passionately and reaching out to people.
Becoming is one event that promises to bring me closer to God via fellowship, and hearing real life stories that can jeer me up to move in line with God’s plan for my life.
Recently, I have been feeling overwhelmed about life. I’m trying to get clarity and instructions on some areas of my life.
My career needs some form of guidance.
My purpose needs specific clarity to move me to the next level.
I also need some level of personal discipline and discovery to keep me on track.
I like to listen to real life stories because I connect more.
I want to know how TY Bello and CEO of Bubez got the leap in their career despite the challenging. I also want to learn from other speakers and panelists.
Attending Becoming is going to give me the environmental impact , connection, practicality and fellowship I need to grow beyond my present state.
I also would love to network with women that are becoming.
My cloth is well ironed and my book is prepared to jot down the high points for me.
I see myself there already. Been trying to pay but many issues coming up.
I really need this ticket and I hope I get it.

I really would want to attend this year’s Becoming Conference. I’m 19 and I desire to live a purposeful life. Beyond discovering purpose, I want to also explore it, fulfill it and give back.
Attending this conference would be drawing from a well of knowledge, enough to propel my walking in purpose and more importantly, I’d be too excited to keep quiet having attended such a lit conference. I’d definitely share my knowledge and experience with friends and everyone that cares to be blessed!
Also, I have a food business and it’d be such a great opportunity to network with other women and learn from their experiences.

OMG. I ran here the minute i saw this post on @funtoibuoye’s handle. I’ve heard of the becoming conference before now, i know a couple of people who have attended and have shared amazing stories and experiences. When I first saw the post announcing this year’s conference, I told myself i had to attend and had been planning to. However, things have not been really rosy financially, and even though I really want to attend, my budget just cannot accommodate the 7k this month. I was thinking how i needed a miracle to enable me attend, and Ta daa! this giveaway happens, which may just be the answer to that prayer.
Why i want to attend? I need to physically be in the presence of the awesomeness that is Ty bello and Funto. I need to soak in all the inspiration and motivation that will be oozing out of that gathering of purpose-driven women. And i need to be able to share my own #becoming story.
