Stephanie Otobo says she was Paid to defame Apostle Suleman | WATCH - BellaNaijaStephanie Otobo, the alleged mistress of Apostle Suleman, who accused him of impregnating and breaching the promise to marry her, has said she was paid to do so by Nigerian politicians.

Otobo had in 2017 sued Suleman to the sum of ₦500 million for his breach of promise to marry her.

Otobo had released screenshots of her video calls with the apostle, and photos of her bank statement showing moneys Suleman forwarded to her.

Otobo, speaking before the Omega Fire Ministries (OFM) Worldwide congregation, said she was deceived by some “very strong and powerful politicians and pastors.”

Otobo said came to Nigeria from Canada with the intention to further her career.

She said she succumbed to the manipulation of the politicians and pastors because she was told it would help her career. “They paid me a lot of money,” she said.

Lizzy Johnson Suleman, wife of the apostle, addressed the congregation, asking them to forgive Otobo, as she had done.

Some of us could see thru the bulls— at the time. The timing and manner of the accusation was so so off. Those who could not see the trees for the woods were so adamant. Lesson here is that with human beings, anything is possible. Her story did not add up. She was just too blaise about what she said happened to her. I do not know Apostle Suleiman but when do we need to know people to come to their defence. Stephanie found Jesus. Case closed.

At what point does EFCC step in to address the issue of Confessed extortion and blackmail? Perhaps those are not crimes in Nigeria.

Same thought too. More like highest bidder.

All of them should go and repent. Apostle himself did not handle the matter like a genuine man of God, insulting people, telling members to knock themselves, instructing leaders to remove workers who believed her. He needs to check himself too. His words are not seasoned with salt and his fruits of arrogance, pride, lies, threats, vindictiveness are not one exhibited by one truly called by God.

But what do I know? We will all stand in judgement before God. He’ll stand and then the truth will set him free while lies will send him to the lake of fire…his choice.

People can be terrible. All that pleases you is for her to continue her blackmail. Then you clap hands. You believe her before when she was blackmailing. Now she has disappointed you by making a u-turn and she is now paid. She was not paid before abi? It is that she has come out to confess that she is paid. Those who could read between lines knew from the very beginning that she was acting to a script. But the then hand clappers are disappointed that the truth has come out. May God have mercy on all of you.

This is girl is sick and needs a psych evaluation. After all the drama she created for months. The press release/press statement. Acct details with money transfer, trips to different destinations. All was to follow your passion when you cant even sing. What a disgrace. Smh

I agree with you Connie, I know somebody that lies at the drop of a hat about everything and anything even the silliest things – an adult claiming they have TVs in their toilet, her uncle gives her large sums of money to keep for him without telling his wife, the wife now wants her dead. I strongly feel people like this have psychological problems.

Beware folks evil in Nigeria is of high magnitude. It is the love of money That is distroying the Nation- be careful who you listen to and the Pastor that prays over your head

Lol one still can’t tell if the pastor or lady is guilty. Is this confession also manipulation?messed up world we live in

  16. curious

    January 27, 2018 at 2:57 pm

The only gullible comments i see are the ones above. So its okay for us to condemn a man that was accused without any concrete proof. But it’s not okay for us go accept the lady’s confession. Especially when her accusations came just at the moment when he was having problems with the federal govt/DSS after his comments on herdsmen last year.

Someone asked why doesn’t she name the politicians who paid her? Really in this country where people are arrested and harrased for peaceful protest or airing their opinion against the powers that be? Have we forgotten what happened to tubaba and oby/her bbog team?

Having said that, my issue is not whether Suleiman is guilty or innocent. I still won’t attend his church. But my issue is in recent times there has been an increase in the trend of women accusing men of sexual harrasment/rape/kidnap without concrete evidence. The other day a lady accused a driver of rape/kidnap we are yet to know exactly what went down, yet many were swift to jump into conclusion without seeking to know the details.

While we are all commited to the gender equality fight and transforming our cultures to accommodate and show fairness to everyone irrespective of gender (and other things.) We must always remember the need for fairness and fair hearing. We are in this matter together we all have brothers and sisters, fathers and mothers. Any of them could be victims.

There’s a reason why a man/woman is innocent until proven guilty!!!!

Stephanie’s accusation against Suleiman was filled with loads of inconsistencies yet you believed her. She changed her account so many times, but you believed her. You said she was bold and blah blah blah, that others were brainwashed by the pastor. The same Stephanie now says she was used, and you don’t want to believe her anymore. How can you be so close-minded? Do you seek the truth or do you just want to keep reading that the pastor slept with the girl, aborted her pregnancy and denied. Some of us do not have the courage or patience to take the facts. They form a certain narrative and desire that nothing changes about it, even if it was a lie, even if the original author says it’s a lie. That’s what it means to be narrow minded.
You claim she must have been paid by the pastor. So you, if you were Pastor Suleiman will you be willing to send hush money to her? Even if you you have to do it through an agent of the brother of a friend who was an ex of the assistant to the wife of the your P.A? You should know that every move you make towards ‘bribing’ her will be a weapon she will use to blackmail you even more.
Some of us are cursed to accept only bad news. It’s sad, and unintelligent. What’s funny is that some of you start by calling those who believe the video gullible. But if you look closely you’ll realise that you’re a lot worse than ‘gullible’.

  18. Tallulah

    January 27, 2018 at 4:10 pm

Please she’s lying! Pastors are the worst. I’m sure she’s been paid.

    Foolish grl

  21. Facts

    January 27, 2018 at 5:25 pm

These doubters dont surprise me. Joseph’s brothers sold him into slavery, lied to their father Jacob that an animal killed him. He believed them. Years later, these same brothers came to tell their father that Joseph was alive and a king in Egypt. What was his response? I cant believe it. So when you have believed and trusted in a lie for so long, to believe the truth when it eventually comes out can be really difficult. Pls dont blame them.

Hell-Rufai was behind this scandal. Maybe the girl actually dated the Pastor and maybe not but Hell-Rufai heavily sorted her to implicate the Pastor. The Pastor’s offence was his outburst against Fulani herdsmen and the killings of christians in Southern Kaduna at the time. Hell-Rufai is a very evil person
