Roseanne Barr is still trying to defend her image after a tweet comparing former Obama administration adviser Valerie Jarrett to an ape got her show canceled.

ABC had quickly canceled her show after the tweet, with her talent agency also dropping her.

Roseanne, in a new tweet, has said she is not a racist, and only made one stupid joke which cannot nullify her lifetime of fighting for civil rights. She wrote:

I’m not a racist, I never was & I never will be. One stupid joke in a lifetime of fighting 4 civil rights 4 all minorities, against networks, studios, at the expense of my nervous system/family/wealth will NEVER b taken from me.
