Fans of hit sci-fi TV show “Stranger Things” should brace themselves for some bad news: the third season probably won’t come until 2019.

David Harbour, who plays officer Jim Hopper, confirmed this to Variety.

We know Netflix has already given the green light for the third season. What’s happening now is that the Duffer brothers, Ross and Matt, are working on the script.

Harbour told Variety: “I mean, one of the things that’s annoying for fans is that it takes us a long time to do them.”

Like, you probably won’t get [Season 3] until sometime in 2019. But also part of the thing is, like any good thing, they need time. And those guys work so hard. I mean, they just sit in their apartment and write for 12, 14 hours a day.

Good thing is that the delayed time means the writers won’t have the pressure of an early deadline, giving them enough time to give fans something good.

Still, fingers crossed for early 2019.
