Nemesis has finally caught up with Adeleke. I hope Adeleke will follow Adeosun’s footsteps and step down. Let us see if all those who case aspersion on Adeosun would do the same for Adeleke.

Here is a brief summary of controversial scandals (certificate scandal and graft) that has befallen some renowned politicians since 1999. I would like to juggle your memories with these incontrovertible facts:

    1) Abba Moro (PDP): He supervised the immigration jobs scam that led to the death of almost 30 Nigerian youths in a stampede. He didn’t only kill the youths; he scammed them by selling 500,000 forms for 4,000 positions. Guess what? He did not resign and neither was he fired by your Hero, GEJ.

    2) Stella Oduah (PDP): BMW car scam. She resigned eventually but contested immediately for Senate under PDP and won. It is noteworthy that an epitome of integrity and competence like Dora Akunyili, also contested for Senate seat in the same Anambra, and lost.

    3) Evans Enwerem (PDP): The ex-senate honcho, of blessed memory, in 1999 didn’t only forge a NYSC certificate, but forged a PhD. Yes, a PhD. He stepped down after public backlash but retained his seat as a senator, representing his constituency, receiving allowances and salary.

    4) Chuba Okadigbo (PDP): Enwerem’s successor, renowned for the infamous Sallah ram saga. He was culpable and guilty of graft. He didn’t step down as a senator as well. He was in the senate receiving salaries and allowances till the end of his tenure.

    5) Adolphus Wabara (PDP): Okadigbo’s successor, renowned for the education fund graft. He did not step down as a senator after he got caught with his hands in the cookie jar. He stayed in the senate till the end of his tenure. Let me go to the House of Reps now.

    6) Patricia Eteh (PDP): The matron of the N628m renovation scam. She also refused to step down as the speaker despite humongous proofs of her graft. Eventually, she was replaced but she did not resign as a member of the house of rep.

    7) Dimeji Bankole (PDP): He orchestrated the Peugeot cars contracts fraud. He neither stepped down nor resigned. He served and finished his tenure.

    8) Farouk Lawan (PDP): The leader of the defunct integrity group that ousted Patricia Eteh, was caught on camera receiving bribe from Otedola in broad day light. Your guess is right; he didn’t resign as a member of the house. He served his full tenure.

Then you have ADEOSUN and BABACHIR of APC. The former resigned, the later was fired. This is why Kemi’s action is honourable and almost unprecedented in the history of this country.

The problem with most PDP apologist is that they have short memories. Some of us have been following Nigeria politics painstakingly since 1999. So when we say there is a difference between now and then, we know what we are talking about.

You may hate APC eternally but this administration has always taken corruption allegation seriously more than any administration since 1999.

Maina, the ex-pension boss was fraudulently reinstated but sacked by this administration

This government has recovered more loot than any government since 1999.

This government has jailed 2 ex-governors for corruption, an unprecedented record since 1999.

When we say there is a difference, we are only analyzing the facts.

For the intelligent Nigerians, this difference will matter in 2019. APC is far from perfect, but this admin is better than PDP when it comes to tackling corruption. We shouldn’t be blinded by partisanship and ethnic bigotry. Opinions are subjective but facts are sacred. There is a difference between NOW and THEN.

PMB may not be the most competent; he may not be the most educated. However, his integrity is yet to be tainted, even by his opponents. You hard work and intelligence may take you to any level in life but it takes character (Integrity) to keep you there. Here is the moral of the story: It is important to be smart, competent, eloquent and assertive BUT Integrity trumps all. This is the only product PMB has been selling to Nigerians for the past 4 decades.

I don’t care whether PMB loses or next year election. What I know for sure is that he will go down with one of the very few Nigerians who demonstrated uncompromising and unparalleled integrity at the highest level.

@truth, you forgot to add Dieziani Allison Madueke.

She had An NYSC scandal as well. .. And it was swept under the carpet under GEJ’s administration. . Kemi adeosun is a hero! She is honourable for what she did. Nigerians continue to wallow in both mental, technical and intellectial poverty as to allow a bright brain and critical thinker like Adeosun be let off. People dont know what Nigeria has lost.

      Pls see the link below

      Dieziani Allison Madieke skipped NYSC.

Mrs. Allison Madueke graduated in 1987 at the age of 27 with a degree in Architecture from Howard University in the United States. Since then, she has worked in the US and Nigeria, refusing to give a working year of her life to the Nigerian state as required of all graduate citizens.
There is also no indication that Mrs. Allison Madueke got an exemption from the programme. . . . .

If he is guilty he should stand down from contesting. the next President of Nigeria as a matter of expediency must investigate Buhari’s certificate scandal and tat should form part of the debate for the contestants as to Buhari’s legitimacy as President.

    • Far from the truth

      September 19, 2018 at 9:36 pm

This is certainly not a brief summary or anything close to the truth! Let Buhari start by producing his own certificate!
And then let Kemi Adeosun be summoned for questioning or arraigned to court for hearing. Look at this APC government protecting thier own and making a scape goat of others! This is not a fight against corruption its selective Justice .
Is the not the same Adeleke that has been serving as a senator, why is it now , 3 days to gubernatorial elections in Osun state , that his educational qualifications are being questioned ?.
When Kemi Adeosun was allowed to walk free at liberty just last week? .
Am not necessarily on anyone’s side, but this is certainly no genuine fight against corruption.

Integrity with his WAEC certificate scandal abi? Integrity with the lies about not being able to afford to buy Presidential form or integrity about the several millions of pounds spent on his treatment whilst insisting he will not disclose the amount. Oh, I get it, integrity about his unemployed son that bought 2 (or is it 3 power bikes at a unit price of 125,000 USD. Which integrity are you writing an epistle about? And why are you lying? Maina was sacked by the previous administration, fraudulently reinstated by Buhari and when the lid was blown up, he rushed to sack him. You think we are kids that don’t know these things? You people think this is still 2015 when many home and abroad educated people sent their thinking faculties on holiday and started falling for the any lie and propaganda you dish out to them. That ship has now sailed. This is 2018!

Truth, You forgot Salisu Buhari (aka Toronto) in 1999. Stella Odua has a certificate scandal with her fake MBA from and America University that has never offered a post graduate course (St. Paul’s College Lawrenceville, Virginia, United States) . You also forgot Aminu Bello Masari ( now Governor of Kastina State) has a certificate scandal. Evans Enwerem’s crime was that he was an ex-convict and falsified his age. Tinubu and his Chigago University scandal. PMB with his WAEC scandal, GEJ did not complete his PhD.

Look at the list, what does that tell about the country and its leaders?????
