German technology company Bosch is keen to expand its footprint in the Nigerian market after establishing its first local office in 2014 following more than a century of operating in the country and around the continent through appointed dealers.

That decision has since paid off with the local office having doubled its domestic staff to more than fifty as its market outlook continues to improve.

Speaking at a press meet on Tuesday during the company’s event tagged Bosch in Everything to host customers and business partners at the Intercontinental Hotel in Victoria Island, the Managing Director Bosch Nigeria, Ghislain Noumbessy said that the sentiment was that the company has found a home away from home in the Nigerian market.

“With an estimated population of more than 206 million by 2020, Nigeria is a strategically important market for Bosch. Our company provides solutions in sectors such as infrastructure, automotive, food processing, and energy which enhance quality of life of the growing Nigerian population by making it safer, easier, and more efficient,” said Markus Thill, the Bosch Group’s President for Africa.
