Orange for me means boldness! It’s that pop of colour that stands out! You will always notice Orange; night or day. It’s unique; it’s different and that is how I would classify my love and our love story!

After hurt and pain in the past; I took a bold step to emerge from the shadows to plunge straight in; fears, anxiety and all. And I’ve enjoyed the best of love since then.

Our love story is different; it’s unique and shows me exactly why all the others failed. I’m excited to know what the future holds because my love is with me. He took that step of Faith to be with me regardless of baggage and I’m glad I took the chance to be with him.

Orange reassures me always that there’s more to be gained in taking chances for love; in leaving my comfort zone; in choosing boldness!

Orange combines the intensity of red and the calmness and happiness of yellow. Both personalities describe I and my fiance when we first met. He was intense, quite energetic and a bit aggressive when making decisions. I am cheerful, pretty analytical and I move around with a pocket full of sunshine. My fiance needed “my yellow” to calm his “red”. Today, our relationship is a magical burst of orange. We put together ideas to strike a balance especially when taking life-long decisions. By doing this, no one person’s nature takes over. Both personalities just meet somewhere in the middle like red and yellow meet to make orange. Orange enunciates joy, enthusiasm, freedom, expression and fascination. These are attributes our relationship possess.

The orange colour means a lot to me and my husband. In our marriage which will clock four years on February 16, we are reminded of how significant this colour has been in our relationship. It is the colour of our chairs in our living room. It is the colour of our curtains in same living room. It is the colour of our reading tables in the three bedrooms. We fell in love with it when we moved into our home. For us, it signified the strength and warmth of our togetherness, made us feel happy inside. First sight of the colour each day we return home from stressful long working hours is always uplifting. So no surprises when recently we decided to purchase sneakers with a touch of orange for our walking exercises. We could not say no to a colour so stimulating.

My simple understanding of Orange is of warmth, happiness and calmness. My husband and I share joy and happiness no matter the stormy situation. We always find a place in our hearts to ‘Smile’.

Orange to me also reflects emotional strength in my marriage and during difficult times. It helps my husband and I to bounce back from disappointments, despair and pain.

We truly love orange as a colour because it brightens up our day as a couple.

Lastly, Orange brings spontaneity and a positive outlook on life in general, which keeps my sweetheart and I motivated and helps us to look on the bright side of life.

Orange is the New Black, What a coincidence am wearing an orange sock with an all-black attire reflecting on the emotions of celebrating Valentine’s Day for the first time in the hands of the one you crave in daily and at Night with a new definition of love “It’s like getting into a bath but the water is like warm, chocolate pudding with a view from the south and a mood lighting all over singing Irawo and Yolo at the same time, you all can make a guess it’s a bold offering : the love story sounds like a script but it remains with the same person and am sure Bella is aware…

Orange is a funny colour to us. You see,my husband is mixed race, but when I met him he was going through a really rough patch financially and had been in the sun a loooooot. so he was really, really tanned.Or dark burnt orange. I used to jokingly call him the Orange Man. But in spite of his sunburnt skin, (and the lack of an AC car) we fell madly, dizzyingly in love. We are married with kids now (and might I add,his skin is all glowing and freshhhh now) and we are really happy. On days when we have the occasional fight, he always apologizes first. He always says ‘you stayed, and ate buka food with me, you trekked with me, you loved me when I was Orange’. And I forget whatever I’m mad at and we start laughing. I’m so glad I gave my orange man a chance!

Orange reminds me of a beautiful sunset at the end of a sunny day. That’s our life. We are enjoying the beauty of our everyday while looking forward to that orange-filled sunset, when our children and grandchildren will be gathered around listening to the our story from day one till the day they joined us.

From the very first day we confirmed we were expecting, we could not stop teasing each other about what it’ll be- a boy or a girl. Of course we would be grateful for any after the tedious journey to this point, but we were eager to know. The scans could not say for certain, active baby would not stop turning. So we stopped the pink or blue drama and began our orange journey. Orange cot and bright clothes for our happy baby that will complete our home whatever the sex. Our nursery is so orange, constantly making us smile as we await our little darling. Orange for US is hope.

Sunrise, Sunset. They both have different shades of orange and remind me of the different waves of emotion I feel for somebody I just met. All highs, no low emotions. There’s curiosity in seeing where each new day will take us, there’s bittersweet longing when each day ends and conversation ends, but it’s exciting because I know I can look forward to the next day.
Most of all there’s courage and boldness in the orange I see, embers glowing and warming the fire in my heart, kindling the stirrings of something more than physical desire, a feeling that I’m coming home and this is where I’m meant to be – mentally, emotionally. That thing that started as a flicker of orange has become a luminous glow, encouraging me to dispel all doubts and take a leap of faith into loving again.

The colour orange reminds me of two important traditions we endugle in annually.

Firstly, watching the sunset with his hands wrapped around my waist. Just taking in the beauty of nature and lost in thoughts. The relaxing feeling, the gentle beat of his heart and the muscular frame reassuring me that all is well.

Secondly, seating hands akimbo, beside each other around the campfire gazing into the blazing flames and throwing sticks into the fire. Feeling the heat of the fire is a constant reminder of the ever blazing fire in our relationship.

Orange the colour of sunset and flames of fire. The traditions we cherish most during our vacation. Using nature to nuture and renew our love annually.

To Me Orange is the color of joy and
    creativity. Orange promotes a
    sense of general wellness and
    emotional energy that should be
    shared, such as compassion,
    passion, and warmth. Orange will
    help a person recover from
    disappointments, a wounded
heart, or a blow to one’s pride.

The Orange radiate warmth and happiness in my romantic relationship with oluwaseun.
It relates to the Gut Instinct in our romantic relationship . I remember when we started as friends that gut instinct made you tell me and everyone around us that this babe is my future wife even when you have not asked me out and when you eventually did that same instinct gave me the conviction that you make a fantastic life partner.
Also, this awesome color offer emotional strength in our challenging situations because there is no great relationship without its trials which also assist in its resolution.
Finally, orange color is very optimistic and uplifting which was reason for choosing as our theme color during our wedding in 14th November, 2015. It reminds us look at the bright side of our marriage and future endeavor , though we might be starting out small but the future holds great and marvelous things in – store for us.
