The event was filled with outpouring of accolades, as one speaker after the other had nothing but praises for the author who has been described as extremely talented.

Actor and President, RMD Productions Limited, Richard Mofe-Damijo explained that no book has affected him the way “Disowned” did, saying the issues in the book are profoundly deep and troubling and should make everybody stand up and say no institutionalized silence when it comes to sexual violence against women and children.

The author, Nina Anyianuka, told the 9 year journey to “Disowned” and broke down as she recalled her experiences speaking to young girls who had been sexually violated. A Creative and Style Director, this debut author has her hand in a lot of pies and will soon be staring in a new TV Series.

“….. had in attendance deeply intellectual celebrities and high brow business executives, select media personalities, and literary enthusiasts.” ? Another “sponsored post?”

Ps. Was Biola Alabi interviewing the “deeply intellectual celebrities” on the red carpet?
