#HeinekenLFDW2015 – Day 1: Kinabuti ‘Rome’ Collection
The Kinabuti Rome Collection was first showcased at a private viewing earlier in the month but we were still super excited to see how the pieces would look on the runway.
The collection showcased a lot of ethnic pieces with tie-dye fabric and batik. They were ready-to-wear looks and we love how easy and breezy the models looked wearing the pieces.
According to the brand, the Kinabuti Rome Collection embodies the brand vision of building a sustainable fashion sector in Nigeria. The whole process from creating tie-dye and batik prints, to bringing the sketch from wearable pieces, was carried out by the women trained through skill empowerment programs making it a purely ethical collection.
