Sometimes we forget that Nigeria has a wealth of talented musicians and instrumentalists across various genres. While we might shake and dance to the beats of ‘Big Boy’ and ‘Bumper 2 Bumper’ but when its time to relax and be inspired, we turn to the melodic sounds of instrumentalists like Mike Aremu. Leading saxophonist Mike Aremu recently held his ‘Sax Appeal‘ concert at the Muson Centre and it was definitely a night to remember. Leading musicians including Yinka Davies, Cobhams Asuquo, Tosin Martins and Yolanda Brown alongside Mike pulled out all the stops as they performed for the inspired audience. One of the most poignant moments of the night was when Mike performed ‘Heal the World’ in honour of his namesake, the recently departed Michael Jackson. It was a great night! Photos Below.
