This 19 Year Old Zambian Teenager is one of the Youngest Commercial Pilots in the World
Zambian teenager Besa Mumba has broken the stereotype of a typical teenager. At 19, she is one of the youngest commercial pilots in the world. Thuli Tshabalala of CCTV reports.
Besa initially considered a career as a member of the cabin crew (flight attendant), however, she decided to pursue a career as a pilot instead.
After she graduated from secondary school in 2013, she was accepted into the South African Flight Training Academy. 2 years later, she had a commercial pilot’s license.
Her story is a positive one and with all the negative stereotypes in the media about young African women, this is another great example of an outstanding young African woman.
