CEOs & Teams Party in #AllWhite! Mo Abudu, Dundun Peterside, Segun Demuren & Mosun Ogunbanjo at The Unofficial Christmas Party

The prestigious Landmark Centre was transformed into an all-white arena on Friday, December 15th as the Unofficial Christmas Party hosted titans of industry, business executives along with their teams to a sensational night of celebrating outstanding employees and clients in 2017. 

Now in its fourth year, The 2017 edition of The Unofficial Christmas Party was themed Party In White! Executive Guests were greeted with a glass of bubbly and led through the all-white tunnel where they admired classic black and white pictures of previous years’ celebrations before finally arriving at the scenic Red Carpet area. The event saw teams from MTN, Lufthansa, First EPDC, Kantar, Cobranet, Diageo, Sanofi, Interactive CT, EbonyLifeTV and other organisations gather to celebrate the end of 2017 with their teams.

With cocktails flowing, guests not only reconnected with colleagues and clients but also expanded their business network ahead of the new year. After interviews with EbonyLife TV and 53 Extra, there was plenty of time for team photos with fun props as well as a session at the Cinematics Slow Motion Dance booth. Dinner was served at 7:30 pm and guests were invited into an intimate banquet hall elegantly illuminated to create the right ambience for building strong relationships. Teams from the likes of Business Day, Cobblestone, R&B PR, HC Bonum and more made their way to their tables with the help of dedicated hostesses in white and festive reindeer headbands. Courtesy of KOTS Catering, guests enjoyed a sumptuous three-course dinner with local and international options. Mouth-watering desserts were provided by SALT Lagos. Ace Comedian and host Bovi, anchored the night and kept guests entertained throughout. Following the moving debut performance of “My Dreams Don’t Let Me Sleep” by rising poet Huwa, emerging Neo Soul Artist, Lindsey Abudei gave a special performance of some of her hits including ‘Out of the Magazine’, thrilling guests with her velvety tone.

Classic highlights of The Event included the highly anticipated Lip Sync Battle where teams showed off the routines they spent weeks preparing for. By popular demand, the Sanofi team was crowned the winner after an engaging performance of Falz’s ‘Faire La Féte’. CEO’s were also asked to bring out their competitive side! They competed in a sing-off of the Nigerian national anthem where some dazzled with their silky vocals and patriotic enthusiasm.

CEOs and Team Leads were given the opportunity, as always, to present their “Employee of the Year” awards to outstanding employees. This year’s winners went home with gifts courtesy NACK. Other activities included raffle draws with guests winning exciting gifts courtesy of 2017 partners of The Unofficial Christmas Party: The Wheatbaker Ikoyi, Yomi Casual, Oasis Medspa and Casper and Gambinis. After dinner, guests made their way to the after party to join in on what was already shaping up to be an eventful night! The After Party, complete with an LED dancefloor and a stage that would later welcome incredible performers was designed to keep guests in a dancing mood!

Paul Onwuanibe (CEO, Landmark Group), Ademola Adeyemi-Bero (CEO, First EPDC), Mo Abudu (CEO EbonyLife TV), Folake Odediran (CEO Sanofi), Jamil Chaptini (GM Cobranet), Remi Okunlola (CEO R&B PR) and other CEOs and Business Leaders were hosted at the exclusive Executive Lounge with signature after party hors d’oeuvres provided by Chef Benedict. While they networked, they enjoyed a superior view of the stage and drinks courtesy of Johnnie Walker. Other guests including Kaliné, Peace Hyde, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Bolanle Olukanni, Toolz, Denola Grey, Tosin Odunfa, Ozzy Agu and more were welcomed at The Ciroc Lounge. At the After Party, all late night cravings were catered for, with sweet treats from Hans and Rene, Sweet Kiwi, Cafe Neo and Sweet Cravings Desserts.

Special performances from three superstar DJs electrified the party with DJ Cuppy up first, ramping up the energy ahead of the headline act. By the time Tiwa Savage took to the stage, the crowd went wild! She wowed guests with an incredible lineup of her greatest hits this year including ‘All Over’, ‘Ma Lo’, a special Christmas melody, and more! DJ Obi and DJ Big N took over with an epic DJ Battle that inspired several dance-offs and kept guests on their feet till the early hours of the next morning. The night came to an end with a captivating all-white balloon drop that captured the energy of the after party!

At the After Party, team members were able to let loose, have fun with their colleagues and meet professionals from diverse industries. That is what a successful Corporate Christmas party looks like!
