Wema Bank, the custodian of Nigeria’s first fully digital bank, ALAT, revealed its women proposition – Sara By Wema – at the 2019 Songversation with Aramide. The event was a night of conversation and music which took place on March 29th, at Terra Kulture in commemoration of the International Women’s Day.
Sara By Wema is designed to bring women together, educate and support them to reach for financial independence. The proposition will leverage Wema Bank’s array of products designed to support women to achieve both their business and personal goals.
Sara by Wema gives access to benefits such as low-interest business loans, free SME toolkit, business advisory services, personal development, and business management resources, and access to high-interest savings plans and is exclusive to women of all ages and socioeconomic background.
The event which was powered by Wema Bank in partnership with brands such as Mouka Foam, LIRS and MTV Base did not only thrill guests with good music, it also celebrated women who have done well in their different professional fields and have, in their own ways, given back to society.
Inspiring women such as Kemi Onabanjo, management consultant and blogger; Omoyemi Akerele, an icon in Nigeria’s fashion industry and artistic director of the Lagos Fashion and Design Week (LFDW); Oghenekaro Omu, founder of Sanitary Aid for Nigerian Girls (S.A.N.G),; and Temie Giwa-Tubosun, founder of Lifebank Nigeria, were honoured for their individual works in making our society better.
