Vo3 Designs,  a furniture and design company founded by Bukola Bimbo-Obafunwa with a focus on eco-friendly outdoor and indoor pieces made from reclaimed or upcycled wood recently introduced the “Olufemi Rocking Chair” into their existing collection.

The brand which is notable for creating uniquely rustic pieces described this new addition as “Contemporary Vintage”, a renaissance of the old rocking chair with a contemporary Afro-vibe. The chair is carefully crafted from reclaimed pinewood, beautifully finished in white complete with a unique monochromatic hand-dyed Adire from Western Nigeria.

Their work is greatly influenced by a need to encourage more outdoor time in the bid to improve mental and physical well-being, they have advocated this for over 3 years with their collection of outdoor fences, pergolas, trellises, planters etc, that are built to last. The Olufemi chair is not exempted, it is perfectly functional on porches, terraces, balconies and even in garden spaces.

The brand expressed their delight in having the multi-talented Ibrahim Suleiman, Actor, Artist, Architect, TV host and Creative/Style Consultant, Eloho Pender as the faces of the launch; they embody the concept behind the Olufemi chair; Contemporary and Afro classic.

Bukola Bimbo Obafunwa is an Architect, Creative Consultant, and an Eco-friendly advocate. With over 12 years’ experience in both consultancy and construction. She is passionate about creating spaces that enhance mental and physical wellbeing.
