Life Before #BBNaija: Meet Temi Nkem, the 21-Year-Old London-Born Housemate With Delta and Lagos Roots

Temi Nkem has been one of the BBNaija Season 11 housemates viewers keep talking about since she entered Biggie’s house. The 21-year-old introduced herself with a line that was impossible to miss: “I bring luxury, I bring spice.” It was the kind of introduction that immediately made people curious about who she was before the show and what life looked like before BBNaija S11.

Her full name is Temitope Chigbue, and she was born and raised in London. She is currently studying Accounting and Finance alongside a treasury qualification, so reality TV is only one part of her story. Her father is from Ibusa in Delta State, while her mother is from Ebute Metta in Lagos, giving her roots in both states.

Temi Nkem has been quite open about her personality. She says she is a great listener but also admits she talks a lot, and she has described herself as egotistical and arrogant, adding that she doesn’t shrink herself for anyone. She enjoys golfing, eating, and walking, and has joked that her cooking skills don’t go much further than eggs, plantain, bread, and Indomie.

She has also shared that she enjoys attention, thrives under pressure, and usually only gets involved in confrontations when something genuinely bothers her. One thing she has made very clear is that she takes honesty seriously and struggles with people who lie. She has also admitted that she can be quite revengeful when someone hurts her ego, which has added another layer to the conversations viewers have been having about her.

When it comes to relationships, Temi Nkem has drawn a clear line. She is single and has said she is not looking for romance inside the house, explaining that she wants to keep relationships and game strategy separate. Whether that plan survives the next few weeks of BBNaija Season 11 is something viewers will be watching closely.
