Come on people, we all know Dbanj sings crap songs with catchy tunes that eventually grows on us. I remember when I first heard Oliver Twist, I was like what the…..but couldn’t believe I was rocking to the song a few months later. Oliver Twist was everywhere you turned in the UK – TV, radio. There was no escaping it, lol! Wish you the same success with this song Bros Dbanj. By the way, I hear the video was shot at your crib in ATL – impressive crib!
I wish pple can just be honest with D’banji. the video is nice n his thought concept “banchelor” makes a lot of sense. the lyrics is P8 meaning almost a fail. the beat is great, bu the way D’banji sang the song is just F9. total rubbish, its nothing to write home about. am so disappointed, he needs 2 get a song writter. True music lovers & true D’banj fans who know that he is capable of doing better will tell you that this song is freaking GARBAGE… This also further confirms that D’Banj has a bunch of ‘Yes Sirs’ in his camp who won’t tell him if something isn’t up to par when he says that he wants to release it…. O_o
For Kanye to also approve putting the GOOD music logo on it before releasing it also tells me that these International labels who sign African artist whether on a partnership deals or on straight 360 deals need to start putting African A&R’s on their payrolls because they obviously don’t know sh&t about our music and so they give all creative control to the artist. Thats a freaking recipe for disaster because if wack sh*t keep coming out and our people aren’t supporting it then they will stop signing our people to International deals.
I however like the video treatment and I think that both Director and Artist did a good job with the visuals… O_O

i think the song isnt so bad. It will definitely be a club banger. Even those hating on it and screaming they are disappointed will be rocking to it. Look…Let’s face it. Oliver Twist was a banger because of Don Jazzy’s production. D’banj has failed to realize that the only reason he became that successful was because of the market he was in. America is not as forgiving.
The only way he can make sense of the American market is to change his style and that would mean he would be competing with millions of singer-rappers.
Seems like that’s why he has upped his Naij re-entry struggle….Unfortunately for him, there are so many amazing artistes now and it will def be tougher for him here now.

I actually like D’banj but this song is so average its unbelieveable. This is what I would have expected from him in circa 2007 not now! Where’s the musical growth? The video is nice visually but again there has been no real growth. D’banj can produce something like this in his sleep.

The truth is whoever God has bless, no man can curse. i love the beat of the song, its so different from the usual beat we hear everyday. i am really not crazy abt d’baj but when u see hard work and determination, u put sentiments aside and encourage such person.
