BEETA Universal Arts Foundation Presents “Iya-Ile”

With the aim to “rejuvenate the culture of theatre in Nigeria”, Beeta Universal Arts Foundation (BUAF) will be staging the play “Iya-Ile” in Lagos this weekend. This play is written by a young and talented playwright, Oladipo Agboluaje and is set in Lagos State in the 1980s. IYA-ILE will make you laugh and think… One not to be missed!

Fund-raising Performance of “Little Drops”

“Little Drops”, a play by Prof. Ahmed Yerima, starring Tosan Edremoda-Ugbeye, Kate Henshaw-Nuttall, Ropo Ewenla, Tosin Kehinde and Joke Silva examines the Niger Delta question from view of the unintended victims-the women. Beneficiaries are Genesis House, a rehabilitation and skills acquisition centre for (young) commercial sex workers, Special Olympics participants in Greece next year and Scholarship Fund for children of the poor around Holy Child College to attend the college.

      Of course i know it’s not a show! but please they should think of innovative ways to drive the LPM concept/brand further! For starters, a different location and maybe some kind of side attraction such as a raffle draw or an auction (free PR services I am giving here by the way) will be a great idea!

      This is the main problem any business faces in this Nigeria sha… The short attention span of the average Nigerian, if you’re lucky your thing is liked for a year, maybe two. After that people are looking for your replacement or something new from you. I also semi-rolled my eyes when I saw LPM on here again, so maybe its time they take a break and consider coming back as Le Grande Marche.
