United For Kids Foundation Creates Awareness & Raises Funds for its 2013 Education and Healthcare Programs – See Photos from the Evening of Elegance & Glamour

The recently concluded United For Kids FoundationUKF Passions Ball 2012 was a successful and beautiful one. It was a Black Tie event evening of elegance and glamour to create awareness and raise funds for UKF’s 2013 education and healthcare programs. The ball which took place on Friday, October 12th at 5:00 P.M. at the beautiful Clear Essence California Resort & Spa located at 13, Alexander Road, Ikoyi, Lagos, Nigeria was an opportunity to create awareness about UKF’s work, current challenges, future plans and also a great opportunity to appreciate UKF’s consistent supporters. Certificates of appreciation were presented to representatives of Lagos Caledonian Society, Zapphaire Events, Renaissance Capital, KPMG Professional Services, Kyautae Investments, WizerResources and Advisory Services by Tinsel’s Iretiola Doyle and the UKF Chairman, Mr. Amani Momodu. There was also a raffle draw where five lucky guests won exciting prizes donated by Fashion Designer Lanre Da Silva-Ajayi, Clear Essence Resort, Browns Cafe, Kidz Kloset and Renaissance Capital.

The event was hosted by the extremely funny and talented duo of Comedian Saco and Onome Obruthe. The extraordinary, talented Bolaji Sax, Dammy Krane and Brymo serenaded guests. A collection of beautiful art work done by UKF library club kids were auctioned at the event. UKF will like to thank Clear Essence Spa and Wellness Resort, Zapphaire events; all other sponsors and most importantly our guests whose support helped us raise funds for two new library projects that will commence in January 2013. Na wa Bellanaijarians, so since there are not celebrities in these pictures to abuse no one has written anything at least about the positive mission behind the event. I love that tag line: healing Nigeria one child at a time. I want us to heal the nation one person at a time beginning with the leaders. All the best to the organizers.
