Charles Novia Slams Seyi Shay for Her Outfit to the 2014 CHOAMVA, Calls It “Lame Thinking for a Lame Career”
Nollywood producer Charles Novia has called out Seyi Shay for her outfit to the recently held Channel O Africa Music Video Awards.
According to Charles Novia, there was no need for her to dress in that way if she wants to be taken seriously.
He made his opinion known in a series of tweets a couple of minutes ago.
She said she wants murder and dressed like that? She got her wish na! Nonsense and ingredients! Lame thinking for a lame career.

In fact, I Don tire for these people sef. You build a ‘sweetheart brand’ which visibly competes with a better rival and then veer off — charles novia (@charlesnovia) December 2, 2014
Lemme be frank: that Bad Girl/Boy image never works. You get the lunatic fringe crowd edging you on and then they switch to the next one

And you wey don form Bad Girl/Boy becomes limp and laggard. You become useless to the present order. That’s how it goes. It’s what it is. — charles novia (@charlesnovia) December 2, 2014
Yemi Alade, Asa, Omawunmi, Waje didn’t need to be near naked to be on top. They were judged on their TALENT and made it. Commendable.

And let’s be frank. Oyinbo dey do am nor mean say even level-headed Oyinbo people don’t condemn those who go naked. That’s the truth, Ruth. — charles novia (@charlesnovia) December 2, 2014
Let your talent speak for you always. If you don’t have it, nothing can force anyone to accept it. This business thrives on talent not tart.

Immediately OAP Freeze demanded an apology on behalf of Seyi Shay saying:
Bros once again with all due respect, you are taking it too far”@charlesnovia: To round up, whoops! There goes a career soon! Oma’Shey’ o!”

@Freeze_Coolfm Hmmm. Wetin na? A little poignant satire is it. Haba, my brother. — charles novia (@charlesnovia) December 2, 2014
It was a bit hurtful “@charlesnovia: @Freeze_Coolfm Hmmm. Wetin na? A little poignant satire is it. Haba, my brother.”

Dont get me wrong the attire was grossly inappropriate, but I have learnt over the years that advice works better than insult @charlesnovia — Daddy Freeze (@Freeze_Coolfm) December 2, 2014
Bros this is really not a nice thing to say. I don’t like the dress either but I will never diss her career. Pls apologize “@charlesnovia:
