1st Ever Tastemakers’ Social Brought Nigeria’s Finest Event Professionals Together
The very first Tastemakers’ Social took place on the 15th of December, 2015. The purpose of the event was to launch and introduce Tastemakers Nigeria, a community for creative and innovative Nigerian Event Professionals. Founders, Adeola Ogunbekun and Damilola Okuboyejo’s desire is to create and provide opportunities to support and inspire innovative professionals to enhance their craft and service in all areas.
The introductory dinner took place at the stunning Waterview Bistro in Banana Island, Ikoyi. The event started with cocktail hour outdoors. Guests enjoyed delicious canapes by Chef Fregz, cocktails by Moet & Chandon and Hennessy and listened to live music by the exceptional female Saxophonist, Tuke Morgan. This was also an event which debuted the stunning invitation designs of IJORERE Inc including the glass-like invites for this event.
After cocktail hour, guests were ushered into the venue where the hosts and founders, shared the vision for this innovative idea. The guest speaker was Yemi Osunkoya of Kosibah, award winning bridal dress and evening wear designer. He spoke on the importance of community and staying inspired through collaboration.
Guests also got to view Kosibah’s latest bridal dress collection, which was nothing short of brilliant. Oleander Catering provided three courses of deliciousness and dessert was by HSE GourmetCuisine. The night ended with a toast (thanks to TM’s official drink sponsor, Moet Chandon) and lots of networking. It was truly an event to remember.
