On Sunday, the 13th of November, 2016, Awesome Treasures Foundation held its 2nd annual Awesome Awards and thanksgiving summit.

The annual Awesome Awards which held its inaugural edition in 2015 is a platform designed to recognise and celebrate accomplished individuals, who display excellence in their chosen field of endeavour and whose life and decisions have created a ripple effect of change which has impacted many while displaying and living the values of the Kingdom.

The award was alongside the annual Thanksgiving Service which is always an all-out praise concert, a no hold barred time to give thanks to God. The guest ministers were Tim Godfrey & the Xtreme Crew who led the audience in worship and Pastor Emmy Madubuko, Kenya’s most renowned international gospel artist rendered some of her award winning songs.

Olajumoke Adenowo, Founder Awesome Treasures Foundation and Principal Partner, AD Consulting, an international multiple award-winning Architectural and Interior Architectural firm, emphasised the importance of giving thanks to God and the need to celebrate individuals who are displaying transformational leadership in their chosen field of endeavour.

This year’s Awesome Award winners includes, Chris Ubosi, Chief Executive Officer of Megalectrics Limited, operator of Classic FM, The Beat FM and Naija FM who won the Media Icon of the Year while the 2016 Esther Award went to Igwenwanyi Ngozi Achebe, the Igwenwanyi of Onitsha.

In the category of the Creative Entrepreneur of the Year award, Ejiro Amos Tafiri, the Chief Executive Officer and Creative Director of Ejiro Amos Tafiri label, a fast growing brand on the Nigerian fashion scene emerged the winner.

Kemi Lala Akindoju, whose acting career exemplifies excellence and versatility in a variety of roles won the Actress of the Year award category.

The Change Agent of the Year award went to Ndidi Nwuneli, founder LEAP Africa, co-founder of AACE Food Processing & Distribution, for her outstanding contribution to the nation and for raising change agents among the Nigerian youths.

Audu Maikori and Paul Ukeugo of the Chocolate City Group were also celebrated in the Music Entrepreneur of the Year Award category for their immense and outstanding contributions to the music industry. Mummy Fabunmi received Member of the Year for her outstanding contribution and dedication to the foundation

The dynamic singer and Editor, Off-Duty Magazine, BusinessDay, Kemi Ajumobi gracefully anchored the event. It was indeed an awesome and colourful event as the ambience at Muson Centre where it was held was captivating and the audience enthused.

For over 17 years, Awesome Treasures Foundation, a faith-based Non-Governmental Organization has been actively involved in the raising of transformational leaders towards a National Renaissance in line with the Sustainable Development Goals declared by the United Nations.

    wait wait is that Mo cheddah? Kai this instagram pics has deceived me too much! Hunny those filters do you so darn good! She looks sooo regularrrr! I’m not saying she’s not a pretty girl oh (please I dont want fans eating my head off) but if I met her in person I would have been shocked compared to what you see on IG. And yes some people dont look too off from what you see on IG because they dont over filter..but this right here? hmm no words, lmaooo! good event ..

    Mo cheddah what exactly happened? Did you hurry while getting dressed or you forgot to carry your filter along with you to the event. Your nose looks extremely out of proportion, did bukunye give you a bit of his? Is this the makeup most especially your eyebrow you show us on Instagram tutorial, Was your wig a last minute decision? Did you say this outfit is part of your clothing line. You don mean it.
