This July, Sao Café will open its doors to some of the hottest young and rising artists living and working in Lagos for a one of a kind art experience. For 2 days, Sao Café will be transformed into an artist’s playground with a multi-media exhibition showcasing creativity at it’s finest.
Last year, the Guardian Life described the first edition of the Sao art showcase as “uniquely refreshing”. This year’s edition has been amped up to capture art in its many forms, showcasing and celebrating colour, sound, music, light and more.
The event promises to be a rare and interactive experience with an abundance of young, vibrant artists or in this case “muses” that have come together to express art in its many forms. From live art to musical performances, to film, photography and sound, this is the one event you do not want to miss.
Date: Thursday, July 13th & Friday, July 14th, 2017
Time: 11.00 am till midnight
The muses include; Medina Dugger, John Madu, Painter Abe, Adam, Lubee, Abubakar, Mr. Wentz, Anti Design, Niyi Okeowo and Daniel Obasi. There will be a vibrant art market with affordable and unique items for sale, creative master classes, film screenings and a plethora of activities designed to feed all your senses.
Each day will be finished off by an eclectic musical performance you do not want to miss. Singer & songwriter, Kaliné, is set to perform and Show Dem Camp will be closing the show with their epic Palm wine music.
Sao Café which is situated in the heart of Lekki, is a stylish restaurant and speaks to the heart and soul of art and music enthusiasts, and is also known for promoting iconic and out of the box events. Just last year, Sao Café hosted DJ Obi as he attempted the Guinness World Record of the longest DJ set. This is the second edition of Sao and the Muse.
