The Eznira Clothes Swap is back and better with its 3rd clothes swap and this time, they are also launching their exhibition fair.
The Eznira Clothes Swap is a unique, affordable and eco-friendly way to change your wardrobe without spending money and also donate to charity outfits that are not swapped or donated for charity specifically.
All interested individuals are expected to take a minimum of 5 clothing items to any of the pick up points in Lagos with N2,000 for a ticket. The ticket entitles you to a chance to pick fresh items and cocktails at the event.
On the day of the event, the swapper comes with the ticket and gets to pick new, fresh items in relation to the number of items dropped. All items are “interswapable” so a pair of shoes can be swapped for a handbag or a dress.

- No 3 Oba-Nle Aro aveune Ilupeju, Lagos
All items must be cleaned, steamed and hung as tattered items will be rejected. The number of items dropped off are the exact number of items you are eligible to receiving in exchange.

Are people allowed to drop off worn items? do others then pick up those worn items??
@ Anny – I do this with my friends all the time. You will be surprised at how many people have new clothes with tags on them still sitting in their closets taking up space, or some folks may wear an outfit or a pair of shoes once and figure they don’t like it but can’t return it to the store or some people have either lose or put on weight or they got christmas gifts that are not exactly their taste…all these people need a place off load these items and it’s great if one can replace them with other things.
I’ve gotten lotions (the lady’s husband had allergies so she had to wear lotion w/o fragrance), earrings, blouses, pants etc. Sometimes, people get candles as souvenirs from weddings etc and they don’t like the scents or perfumes…it can be all kinds of things, not just clothing. It is a very environmentally friendly way of getting rid of excess items from one’s home.
This is a great idea…I am surprised that Nigerians are open to it especially we since we are a people totally enamored with the “new” and look down on used items for fear of being considered “poor” or “cheap”.
