How Many Boyfriends Can A Nigerian Girl Have? BattaBox Finds Out. Watch the Video on BN

on owned by former CNN Correspondent, Christian Purefoy generates interesting Nigerian video content and shares it via YouTube. From insightful to wacky! Here is one of their recent videos titled “How Many Boyfriends Can A Nigerian Girl Have?

The title speaks for itself. The BattaBox team asked a cross-section of young Nigerian women this question and got a mix of zany answers. At some point, we assumed the ladies didn’t understand the question they were being asked until they began explaining the different types of boyfriends. At that point, we gave up hope.
Seriously?…Ask much as possible“?!

That said, we can categorically say that majority of Nigerian women do not think this way.

I guess they didn’t ask Nigerian men who many girlfriends they can have because it is assumed that they all probably have three too many, right? And that includes the married guys.

Nigerian guys have been doing this for years. I dont see any reason why the ladies cant. As long as they are protecting themselves. Do you boo! Fortunately, i haven’t had to have many boyfriends to provide for myself because i am fortunate. But with the limited opprtunities in Nigeria i dont blame these girls for what they are doing. Who am i to judge. The key thing is i hope they are protecting themselves. thats all.

This was posted on my fb and its sparked some interesting debate… i love debates… be it controversial or…ahahahahah. but NO to violence or swear words debate. HATE IT.

My first thought was ahh so u cant work for urself, u need a human bank???
In my own opinion, its a sad trend contrary to any logical reasoning or justifications. its a circle that will keep going hurting innocent people and emotions and turning them into another victim ready to make another innocent person a victim. its so sad.(like a vampire situation).

Besides, is this the legacy some of us want to leave for our children?? its just so sad and these are young females too.

Anyway the last lady was soo funny never heard of that term b4.

BTW BN i get u are incorporating new concept etc which I am in support of but can I say as an avid reader of ur blog, am not happy with the new home page i.e. its sometimes appear in a new format. For instance, the fact I cant see images but have to shuttle through stuff makes it soo annoying 🙁 . I would prefer if there is an homepage with images. Pls incorporate a strategic step that will involve improving the website to take advantage of a larger platform. I recommend, a like button or thumps up n down like YAHOO does. It would be nicee, even if i get some thumps down on my…ooo In fact, the thumps up will enable you to measure the amount of readers that read ur blog but not just passing through. You get me. You should also incorporate e-mail marketing where you provide log in facilities and offer customized website for your readers. I know this stuff cos I studied it and working the area…xx. In addition, you can offer additional log in facilities where readers sign in using their fb account too or yahoo. like IROKO TV.. that should encourage more comments..xx advice for free… chai ur lucky day.xx

For some of us that need help with marketing or desire marketing consultation in areas of business, need help with writing a marketing plan or strategic marketing . hit me on my blog and will talk further. thanks. xxxoxoxo

Hahaha. The last line of the article said “we can categorically say that majority of Nigerian women do not think this way”. Cue a load of female comments to prove that wrong. Purpleicious Babe, thanks for holding the fort for sanity.

Im actually gutted to know that this is the trend now. when i was in University, it was a taboo for a “good” girl to have more than 1 boyfriend gosh!! those girls were all aristos in our eyes…now it seems almost every girl has “aristos” SAD!! then we complain men cheat, how wont they cheat when there are these girls waiting to lure? My final question is do they have sex with all these “boyfriends”? Forget AIDS and all other diseases for now, how does a woman open up her body to different men in what, 1week? Its safe to say we have prostitutes in our Unis im afraid!!!!!

Purpleicious Babe, well done. It is really a vicious circle which will eventually consume all. From a Biblical perspective, these are the signs of the end time. Now Sodom and Gomorrah are truly here. What are these go to teach their children if they eventually give birth? What have their parents taught them about the sacredness of their bodies which they have chosen to trade freely? Unfortunately, both men and women, young and old, married and singles are involved in this prostitution ring. Single and married men having lovers by the side for different “purposes” just as single and married women are doing.

A lot of people do not realize the implications of these gloatings over blatant level of moral decadence. There are grave spiritual, psychological, health implications that are being ignored in our cravings for passing pleasures. I pray that God will help to understand and repent.

Consider these Bibles passages as we individually take positions on these matters:
    Proverbs 14:12
“There is a way that seems right to a man,
But its end is the way of death”.

    Leviticus 19:29
“Do not prostitute your daughter, to cause her to be a harlot, lest the land fall into harlotry, and the land become full of wickedness.”

    1 Corinthians 6:15-20
“Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them members of a harlot? Certainly not! Or do you not know that he who is joined to a harlot is one body with her? For “the two,” He says, “shall become one flesh.” 17 But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him. Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.”

    1. I hope these girls are using condoms. If they aren’t, they’ve messed up.
    2. If they are using condoms, I hope they have organized witness protection (particularly the ones who appear to have these boyfriends in school). If they haven’t, they’ve messed up.
    3. If they have witness protection, they still came out to spill their dirty secrets publicly and illustrated that they weren’t very clever. They’ve messed up.

In fact, so ‘not clever’ did they sound that a woman who is considering cheating may be moved to not do so for fear that she’ll sound this stupid, for I strongly believe this ability to sound so stupid is contagious.

“…all kinds of spermatozoa…” was the one comment that made my evening

Finally, I think a prayer is required for my gender. May our husbands – present and future – never jam these kinds of human beings on the road (deliberately or by mistake), in Jesus’ name. And under no circumstances may we – deliberately or by mistake – raise daughters that end up like this.

SMH @ these sort of stupidity. I see a lot of ignorant comments. Some ar even like what is good for the goose I’d good for the gander. Han Han, ladies lets have some class now. Yes, men do it, does that mean women should indulge themselves in such stupidity. Men are natural hunter and polygamist, its in the DNa. We ladies are keepers and nurturers, that is our DNA. Men have no right to have more than one girlfriend in this day and age. Not to talk of ladies. Letnme tell you something, your so called boyfriends know. They are just keeping quiet because they are getting the ass from you. I don’t even know where to begin, and some of the ladies are like, this is a secret. No boo, it’s not one anymore the moment you opened our mouth in front of a camera. We demand respect from these men, having numerous BFs will not get you one. I know this does not depict all Nigerian ladies but I am concerned that it depicts the majority of them. *Sigh. Do you all have to wait for a guy to cater to you all though, dem no be your papa now. No wonder smart and educated men now all want to marry a well to do girl. Ladies, build your own wealth now ha, the God that blessed your BF’s hustle will bless your own. Stop short changing yourselves, we are all worth more than a recharge card and dinner. I am single with no boyfriend and I LOVE it that way, that’s a million less drama for me. I strived hard to be independent, you can do it. This is just so sad. Ha. Na wa o *covers my face in shame for y’all*

If am to answer a question that says “how many girl friend would you like your boy friend to have”? my answer would have been one, and since am being truthful girls are allowed just one boy friend because human heart is one and our spouse/partner/best friend for life….. are our sweet HEART therefore we shouldn’t share the sweetness of our heart with someone aside from him….. Execpt we want to contact diseases and ogbanje spirit and early retirement from planet earth which we stand to gain from distributing one man’s meal to 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10…………100,200,300,400,500……..1000010000 waka pass “es”.
