WIE 60 2013Earlier this week, hundreds of women converged in Cape Town, South Africa for the inaugural WIE Symposium hosted in Africa. The event featured powerful discussions and exciting panels featuring outstanding women from all over Africa and the globe.

According to WIE “Africa has some of the fastest growing economies in the world and women are playing a key role in that growth. The WIE Power Influencers showcases the women shaping Africa’s future.

        Please stop hating and comment on the topic at hand. Making it on time magazine’s most influential list alongside obama, Beyonce, Jennifer Lawrence, etc. is a great achievement especially for an African. That does not take away from the fact that Genny is also great and deserves to be on this list.

      Very decent list. If you are a sincere person and true to yourself you will know that these women trully deserve being mentioned here, they have really influenced me personally and with the stuff God is bringing my way, i will make this list soon too. Loving Genny n Folake Coker…role models for sure.

      What are you DOING to be on the list? It’s not enough to aspire or wish to be there. Who are you affecting? There are still causes worth fighting for: street children, road accidents, maternal deaths, good governance, etc. It will take commitment and sacrifice to become a change in Nigeria and indeed Africa, not wishful thinking. As you do, I know every grace and strength you need will be made available. Yes, we can do it!
