Disturbing red carpet. Very messy and tacky in terms of fashion maybe one or two hits, perhaps these award shows and such should extend strict dress codes? After seeing the met gala looks this just looks like trash.

In response to DJ whatever, If they should take cue it will be from south africans not some tacky ass loud mamiwater masquerade looking apuskeleke nigerians. No one wants to use nigerians for fashion inspiration. Over their dead body. Tweaaaaaaaaaa, apitor. For where. south africans are more respected and inspiring. Nigerians are full of themselves to think any african country respects you to copy your sense of fashion. Tweaaaaaaa, apitor, which fashion. The apuskeleke kind you always showcase? You must be crazy. 🙂

So you have a problem with Nigerians and Nigerian fashion but somehow you are on a Nigerian blog? I guess jealousy is just love and hate at the same time.

I dont know the name of any ghana blog or even watch ghana movies/music vids on youtube yet u and ur fellow atutupoyoyos are always obsessively attacking Nigerians on Nigerian youtube videos or blogs. Don’t u think u’re in serious denial? U despise Nigerians yet u are on their videos on youtube and right here on a Nigerian FASHION blog talking about we are no one’s fashion role model. LMAO at ur ridiculous denying spirit.hehehe. Its just like a rat eating fish and saying that fish is the most horrible food ever. Choi!

And i dont know what Nigerians being “full of themselves” and “loud” has to do with them not having any fashion sense. Go to ghana.com or wherever vultures like u convene to hate on Nigerians that don’t even acknowledge ur existence! Or u can stay right here on a NIGERIAN FASHION blog and keep secretly admiring us.lol! 🙂

So much passion in your hate for nigeria fashion. Yet, I bet you can’t do without a week of bellanaija, which for your info is more than 75% nigeria fashion

    May 7, 2014 at 2:00 pm

tacky but they sure as hell do have better shapes than Niaja.

  10. Nikky

    May 7, 2014 at 2:24 pm

@Wendy – what sort of benchmarking parameter did u use to arrive at the conclusion that they hav beta shapes than Naija girls? Is it d lady with an oversized hip or the one in the green dress interviewing someone who is obviously wearing artificial hip tights(if u look closely u will c dt d hip on the left leg cannot be normal in the middle of her thighs. She’s lekpa and as straight as a pin. Pls dnt say that again……

As for the outfits,Glitters or shine shine everywhere but i will give them kudos for trying to be trendy.

I am ignorant shaaaa. Here I was wondering whether to ask about the ladies with really low hips, like whether it was a new wonder of God’s creation. Ashe (I didn’t know) it was a hip fat prosthetic device she was flaunting. Hope you’re sure what you’re saying Nikki.

sigh…where do I start? As a natural, I am not opposed to weave…I’ve worn them before but ladies please please make sure it looks correct, blends well, and looks as “natural” as possible (ie not stiff and lifeless). Some of these ladies should have just come bald because their weaves were atrocious.

a mess! a mess! a mess! …only pokello’s outfit stood out! they really cant dress, even the men … the so-called celebrities dont even look like celebrities… tacky hair, terrible makeup, horrible fitting clothes. they need a fashion intervention!

Give it to Nigerians, both male and female, we dress to wipe out competition!!!

    • AK

      May 8, 2014 at 6:22 pm

Which competition? Ghanaians dress up for events to compete with their counterparts in other countries? Ei! What won’t I read on internt these days?!

although some of the clothes are tacky, there are some lovely ones also. Comparing naija and gh fashion is not the way to go. We all learn from each other. constructive criticism is good but insults are a villagers way of communicating.

    May 8, 2014 at 3:16 pm

Some of you nigerians with your hate and envy for Ghana…and why will any Ghanaian celebrity in their right sense copy fashion from naija?? Stupidity at the highest order…am soo proud of my Gh. designers cos 99% of these designs are made by Ghanaian designers like Pistis, Duaba Serwaa, Elikem_detailor, Afromode, Anatua couture etc. Your naija celebs prefers wearing the gucci’s, channel etc…In Ghana both our leaders and civilians are promoting ‘Made in Ghana’ products…Big ups Ghana.

Biko Sharrap. After everything that has been writing here, you still feel the need to carry your bad belle come. The fact of the matter is that the pictures are not the most flattering, and if it was a Nigerian event, I’m pretty sure BN commentators would have also washed it. I certainly would have. I don’t know why you people feel the need to turn it to Ghana VS Nigeria.

god wat a disaster a big fashion flopp o ghana Red carpet seriously? O this is 2014 pls Ghanaians on this blog learn to accept the truth cos the fashion was nothing to write home about stop your jealousy pls you can’t compete with Nigeria it’s a red carpet pls

And who is competing with nigerians , no need to insult i think. Pipo dress the way they want not what u think is beta for them.y don’t u comment on how Americans dress.Africans are their own enemies. Most of these clothes are made from Ghanaians and i think its beta cos its provide job and so many other things than buying those expensive clothes outside Africa.Lets stop hating on each other cos its useless.
