Though the incident should not have happened in the first place, Rapper 50 Cent is definitely making amends for the statements he made about an autistic airport worker yesterday.

A day after posting a video making fun of Andrew Farell – a disabled teenager who suffers from Asperger’s Syndrome, 50 Cent has donated $100,000 to a charity which supports those affected by the condition – Autism Speaks.

TMZ reported that the 40-year-old rapper, despite filing for bankruptcy, has decided to donate the sum of $100,000  to Autism Speaks in an attempt to make amends to the young man he insulted.

He says, “I want to turn this misunderstanding into an understanding. There are people that are ignored, mistreated and neglected with disabilities that need our support. I am calling on my fellow musicians, actors, entertainers and all others who may not have fully considered this cause to join together to help in any way they can.”
