Reverend Olu Martins travelled all the way for Benin City, Edo state to join the #IStandWithNigeria protests in Lagos.

He was a vibrant President of the Students Union Government at the then Edo State University (now Ambrose Alli University), Ekpoma in 1999/2000.

He had this to say when asked about the motive for the demonstrations:
