The 2018 edition of African Gems & Jewellery Exhibition and Seminar (AGJES) will kick-off this Thursday to draw global attention to the entire value chain from local gemstone and metal artisanal miners to producers of finished jewelry with specific focus on Nigeria gemstones and jewelers at home and abroad, as well as gemstones and jewelry sourced in Africa and produced by Africans.
The event holds on Thursday, December 6th & Friday, December 7th, 2018 at the Nigerian Airforce Conference Centre, Kado, Abuja and has the theme: “Mines 2 Market: Collaborating to improve industry linkages; healing Africa through Gemstones”

The two-day event would feature training sessions on different aspects of gemstones and jewelry business. A special session with global award-winning Jewelry designer Labi Kapo featured several times on CNN will take place at the event. There will also be exhibitions by gemstone and jewelry companies from Nigeria and other African countries!
