Reading is fundamental ladies… The list is for THIS YEAR, so every globally recognized African model out there cannot make the list at once because it changes every year. Some of the top African models that didn’t make the list includes Alek Wek (South Sudan), Oluchi Onweagba (Nigeria), Georgie Baddiel (Burkina Faso) and so on. In case you forgot, Oluchi has graced the cover of Vogue, Elle, etc and has served as the face of Gap, Banana Republic and much more, so your comment is quite frivolous. Just congratulate those who made the list without looking down on those who didn’t.

    • zen July 30, 2013 at 6:45 PM

      she’s beautiful

    • FRIED RICE July 30, 2013 at 7:25 PM

nigerians are not getting booked because they are too concerned with bleaching and getting light skinned. also a beautiful nigerian girl would rather go abroad to be a doctor. Angolan babes are natural and proud of their dark skin. and they are pretty

    • L.L. July 30, 2013 at 9:55 PM

    • Lynxx & Emma Nyra are Nigeria wackest artist alive! July 30, 2013 at 10:41 PM

They are making money and you re all talking bulshit, saying they are too skinny!

    • ao July 31, 2013 at 12:20 AM

HIGH FASHION models are supposed to be tall, slim, evenly proportioned, photogenic, and with good skin. This woman has it. Oluchi is also high fashion and very successful. So, I would have to disagree with those that are stating otherwise.

    • Davon July 31, 2013 at 2:56 AM

    • lanre July 31, 2013 at 9:55 AM

this is not ‘slim’, this is skinny. i mean, look at the gap between her thighs in the first picture. she is beautiful no doubt, but this girl needs a bucket of KFC in her life abeg.

    • Funmi July 31, 2013 at 12:46 PM

It all has to do with their work ethics. gbam. Be a professional. A professional need no introduction.

    • NACHI July 31, 2013 at 1:07 PM

Sharp facial features defines a good model…it also gives longevity in your career as a model e.g Linda Evangelista,Naomi Campbell,Christine Turlington,Kate Moss etc.

    • NACHI July 31, 2013 at 1:09 PM

      Maria Borges has got it…

    • Clover August 1, 2013 at 6:25 PM

Wow, very very pretty but I prefer Oluchi sha. Congrats Maria, we know it’s not easy.

    • birdieblue August 3, 2013 at 1:14 AM

No doubt this lady is beautiful, and obviously fits the bill of what high fashion models should look like. But as an everyday woman the first thing I though was: CHAI!!! Too skinny!! in the 1st pic just kept staring at her legs and wondering if her thigh was bent. But as earlier stated, no doubt she is beautiful and fits what the high fashion scene requires in a model. I’m pretty sure the commercial side of fashion eg advertising might not use her that much.
