“#WorkFlow” is back again – the weekly column where you get all the juiciest ‘gist’ of what’s been going on in the industry, some reports we missed during the week and a nice slew of ‘news’ news and ‘not-so-news’ news.
Did You Know?
Before we get started, check out this clip right here.
That was hilarious and yes, rising starlet, Beverly Naya was in that funny clip. The young British-accented Nigerian actress has been out in Atlanta on the set of her new movie. While she’s been out there, it looks like she’s gotten a little ‘thicker’ herself, don’t you think so?
It appears a lot of our Nigerian celebrities are overseas right now. They can be having their fun while the Summer sun is still out but I know they’ll all run back home as soon as the cold starts creeping in. Ice Prince is one of them.
The BET Award winner, who is slated to drop his “Fire Of Zamani” album this month has been out in New York. Directed by JR Saint, the visuals for his new single, “I Swear” featuring American Rapper French Montana have been shot and I wonder what they’ll come up with.
Ice Prince isn’t the only one of the New York circuit shooting music videos, the Syndik8 Records‘ crew is out there as well. Check out Lynxxx and Nedu cracking up on the streets of NY.
Nedu has a knack for unusual humour and he’s also just shot a music video for his new single, “Turn Up”. The video was directed by Mega, the man behind Omawumi‘s “Warn Yourself” video.
Also, you would never guess which buff superstar Lynxxx ran into on the New York streets… Dave Chappelle. This American comedian has definitely been hitting the gym big time.
Back here in Nigeria, our Nollywood sweetheart, Monalisa Chinda just turned a year older. She celebrated her big day with a nice quiet soiree that was attended by the likes of Ene Lawani, Kate Henshaw, Segun Arinze and Joseph Benjamin.
On another side of the world, there’s a top notch photo shoot going down for South African media personality and Revlon Ambassador, Bonang Matheba. Using about forty cameras at once, the “Cosmopolitan” cover girl is spared no expense in this ‘The Matrix’ style shoot.
Still out in South Africa, stars of reality TV Show, “Reality Check” – Nonhle Thema, Khanyi Mbau & Barbz – have a different interpretation to the phrase, “Clowing around on Television”.
I wonder if we’ll get a chance to see the lives of these South African socialites on TV stations in West Africa soon.
Seeing stars in unusual attire isn’t always a clown thing, check out the effervescent Eva Alordiah looking absolutely fabulous in some traditional wear.
Is it just me or does Moet Abebe look absolutely dashing in this purple bandage dress? My only worry is this next photo… we all saw what happened the last time these two were on a screen together right?
In other news, D’Banj was rocking a pair of Buscemi 100MM Mid-Top sneakers to that event (Nokia Lumia party) in Lagos.
The Birkin-bag inspired sneakers are priced at a whopping $785 and include such luxurious materials as Italian tumbled leather, calfskin lining and 18k Gold plated hardware… it’s Banga Lee!
