It’s Here! WATCH the Video for Tiwa Savage’s “Standing Ovation” featuring Olamide

Just this morning BN and Don Jazzy let music lovers know that Olamide and Tiwa Savage had shot the video for “Standing Ovation“, one of the songs off her new album Red.

The video is out and we love how playful, colourful and fun it is.

Check it out below.

1min and 30sec into the song and I think Tiwa needs to go and come literally. She needs to go back to obodo oyibo – and return. Ahn Ahn. Which kain song: something something “tion” “tion” that was all I heard. The harsh sun has even turned her a funny colour. You know that strange colour that shows when bae is trying to tone up and it’s not coming down well.

    Tiwa I love you.

its nice to see changes and experiments sometimes. it came out nice. shows she is versatile. thumbs up mavins.

      January 14, 2016 at 2:59 pm

Excuse you,,singing in yoruba is NOT razz. Singing in Igbo is not razz either. That is why the north will always rule this country. They imbibe the spirit of togetherness and are proud of their heritage. I never recall anyone of them refer to their language as razz no matter how enlightened they are.. Mental Slave.

    • The entity

      January 15, 2016 at 5:59 pm

and in your infinite wisdom, you decerned that she’s igbo? please respect yourself. you don’t have to drag igbo into every comment you make. Always trying to wage a tribal war

is it at Tiwa’s age and status in the music industry that she will still be making this sort of videos? aunty, get content/story (no matter how whack it may seem, forge if u have to) for your songs and give us a story line, of any sort, in your videos. Nice video! Well done.
This video is this good because it didn’t feature Don Jazzy (dude ruins everything with his horrific voice).
    Tiwa is too cute.

      January 14, 2016 at 6:11 pm

I agree with you. The dude has got a horrific voice yet he wants to be heard on every single track. He should just stick to beat making

  46. Kyjuan

    January 14, 2016 at 3:25 pm

    Jazzy delivered on the beat.

Tiwa was on point vocally and i dont know what some people are on about as per lyrics. I for one classify myself as a lyric police (i’m always pulling my hair out when it comes to naija artists and their laziness as per proper song writing) but this as a “feel good” song delivers OK on lyrics (key word OK; it doesn’t have to be heavy lyrically (This aint Adele typa direction) as its a feel good dance melody but still you can make sense out of what she’s saying and it connects/aligns with the title of the track)

Olamide gave us the street/Paso feel to the track.

    Vid location, arrangement & quality…what can i say? #ClarenceShotIt!

Overall i give it 8/10. Thumbs up.

    January 16, 2016 at 1:48 pm

God knows this is one of the weaker songs on RED. The beat goes hard but no personality or strong hook from Tiwa. It’s an Olamide track not Tiwa. Obviously now it shows the beef was probably a stunt OR if not fake then this video was rushed following the whole headies saga. I was so hoping that instead she would release Before Nko or Kolobi or Bang Bang or Love Me Hard as the second single. Tiwa please those are superstar singles hunnay.
