Thank you BellaNaijarians for your support over the years!

No doubt, Nigerian women are one of the most enterprising sets of women in the world, and this was attested to in a recent report by BBC, which said that “Forty percent of Nigerian women are entrepreneurs, that is higher than anywhere else in the world”.

Still in the spirit of International Women’s Day, Invicta Africa and SME100 Nigeria came up with a list of “100 Most Innovative Female-Owned Businesses in Nigeria,” and yours truly is on it.

“The 100 Most Innovative Female Owned Businesses in Nigeria list showcases and celebrates the efforts of female Nigerians who have leveraged on the digital disruption in industries, changing consumer trends and new market segments in the creation of innovative products and services that offer real value to their customers.

The list which cuts across various industries such as fashion, healthcare, agriculture, beauty and so was put together in recognition of the strategic role that the Female Economy has played over the decades in the growth and development of the nation.

The businesses featured here were selected based on their creativity, innovation, opportunities for growth and expansion, contributions to their chosen industries as well as their potentials in improving the lives of women and the girl child,” SME100 Nigeria said.

Kudos to the celebrated but women shouldn’t focus just on being in business, BUT innovative business. The world is moving fast with technology and science. We need more STEMpreneurs or Agricpreneurs…. not just media, beauty and fashion. Let’s move Nigeria forward, biko.

I’ll come back and do the proper due diligence: their websites, their Instagram / Facebook / Twitter accounts.
