In my last article, I wrote on the fast rise of co-working spaces in the world and how it has become the new workplace for entrepreneurs and freelancers. {Click here if you missed it}. I received feedback requesting for recommendations on these workstations offline and online. I would highlight my top work spaces in no particular order in Lagos and Abuja.

As an entrepreneur who is budget conscious even with transportation, these workstations might be close to you, which is an added advantage as well. Each co-working space offers its own unique service, and it’s worth checking if it suits your needs.

Workstation Nigeria
This workstation was the first co-working space I heard about from a friend in Lagos. My first visit to Workstation was interesting, meeting other entrepreneurs crunched in front of their computers tapping away, while others were on the phone. I truly felt at home and inspired. Located at Victoria Island, I was amazed at how structured the office is and how its members are truly a “community”. A top highlight for me is the on-site Simply Green Café known for their healthy juices, especially for a newly converted fitness junkie like myself. Workstation continues to work towards growing its work spaces and might be coming to a city close to you.

Capital Square
I noticed Capital Square on Instagram, their colorful images with the company’s yellow theme won me over. When I visited their Ikoyi office in Dolphin Estate, I was very impressed with the ambience. Besides using the offices and workstations, they organize workshops and masterclasses useful to a small growing business and business owners looking to sharpen their skills. They have two operating offices – Ikoyi and Lekki.

Workbay
I discovered Workbay on Twitter, and immediately clicked their link. They have three locations – Ikeja, Maryland and Lekki Phase 1. Each office is equipped for comfort and they offer different services according client needs.

Leadspace
Leadspace got my attention because of its various locations which include Ojodu, Yaba, Victoria Island and its intention to expand to other cities like Abuja, Owerri and Ilorin. It is also equipped with co-living spaces; sometimes work can be so exhausting that you might need to take a break or a nap to refresh and relax.

Civic Innovation Lab
This is a big one for my Abuja people. It is not just a co-working space. It is an innovation hub for start-ups, business lounge, rooftop and lots more. It is located in the heart of Abuja, Wuse 2. One of the most captivating thing about Civic Lab is how it is colorfully designed with bright colors which can elevate one’s mood. Speaking about moods, the structure has been designed to suit different entrepreneurs and tech innovators for big ideas. You also don’t want to miss their masterclasses, workshops and even mixers.

Venture Platform
This is a huge meeting point for technology innovators, Venture Platform has gone beyond building offices for freelancers and entrepreneurs to growing start-up companies with partnerships with international communities. It is fully equipped with private offices, virtual offices, a gym and lots more. So if you are in Abuja, head over to venture park.

MusterPoint Office
Muster Point has created a serenity in its office that reels you in once you walk in. Located at Ogba, Lagos. The creativity of its members will surely wear off on you once you settle down to work. It also offers training and meeting rooms at affordable rates.
