Yvonne Nelson! What happened? Real makeup blunder same goes for Lydia forson

    • BellaYankee January 1, 2014 at 12:13 am

Cheap dress festival. Yvonne nelson ALMOST made it until I noticed the lightening makeup, hairline makeup and incongruous bun. They ALL look trashy. Not even 1 decent person.

And people will open their mouths to diss Nigerian actresses. At least Genevieve and Agbani would have lookd great. Hiss.

      • Ada January 2, 2014 at 7:07 pm

Poor you!! Spitting so much venom, its sad you entered this New Year too with your venom. You must have a very unhappy life. Please , you need a soul , spirit and mind detox so you can at least appreciate a little good in people instead of referring to God’s Creation as trashy.

    • Ms E January 2, 2014 at 10:45 pm

      christabel ekah…why????

  • Leah December 31, 2013 at 7:59 pm

Juliet is a pretty lady, looks lovely in that gown and she could have pulled that back look off with the right pose.
Yvonne Nelson looks gorgeous but I am not quite sure what is going on with that hairline.
Jackie’s gown looks half decent and her hair and makeup are a mess as usual.
Joseline looks good in the first picture (not particulaly a fan of her body type)
I love Lydia, I just love that lady *biased*
The Gentlemen all did well for the most part.
    Nadia never looks good
No complains on Monalisa’s look, just safe.
Yvonne Okoro whom I think is absolutely beautiful always looks the same. Same hair, same dress style, nothing new.
A few saggy boobs here and there, a few extra skin, one too many tacky tattoos, but over all decent red carpet. *just my opinion*

  • Sharon December 31, 2013 at 8:01 pm

this is what i cant stand
Northern Affair that was just released than nobody has seen yet

    • jinkelele December 31, 2013 at 10:40 pm

    drreeeeeeeckitude!!!!

  • Mama Mia!!! December 31, 2013 at 8:21 pm

Where was Chris Attoh? He is slowly becoming one of my fave Ghanian Actors. His Acting has been superb this year… Don’t know much about Ghanaian movies most of the movies I have seen are just too dramatic/Shakespearean/Indian for my liking. nothing African about them. Congrats to the winners sha!!!

  • Turi December 31, 2013 at 8:24 pm

‘Monalisa award for Best’ hian… I guess there is no other way to put your foothold into something… Congratulations to the winners. Yvonne Nelson, please tell me its the lighting of the venue that’s making you look brown???I hail you Ghanians, una dey try!!!

  • Abi December 31, 2013 at 8:25 pm

  • Abi December 31, 2013 at 8:26 pm

Yvonne Nelson’s jumpsuit is very nice! iLove iLove

  • Sexxie December 31, 2013 at 8:43 pm

Most of the guys look good. Yvonne Okoro’s baby sis be looking like the movie star…
Love Jocelyn’s dress and Shirley’s, wish she didn’t wear d neck piece. Monalisa, Juliet look gorgeous and her sis too. Yvonne Nelson, don’t know. Nana Akua’s dress is a no no! *covers face*…worst dressed.

  • Chic Dafrique December 31, 2013 at 8:59 pm

Dresses I like, roseline, shirley frimpong, confidence, joselyn
    The guys are looking dapper,
Some of these ladies need flogging for insulting my eyes
Why African ppl wear sunglasses at night? we may never know
FINALLY!!! if you have dark complexion, don’t wear BLACK HEAD-TO-TO at NIGHT, especially at night. U can give somebody heart attack.
Happy New YEAR everybody, Bonne annee et bonne sante a tous.

  • JWEZEE December 31, 2013 at 9:13 pm

yup Yvonne looks good, almost eri body looks gud

  • Asa Na Dallas December 31, 2013 at 9:13 pm

Nadia very nice skin but what’s going on with that dress.

  • Ivy December 31, 2013 at 9:26 pm

I love Yonne Nelson’s outfit. Yvonne Okoro’s hair looks a mess. Joselyn looks very elegant.love the black gown. Jackie Appiah tried small today.lol

  • Geane Chukwuma December 31, 2013 at 9:55 pm

    • Dede January 3, 2014 at 3:37 pm

  • new gurl December 31, 2013 at 10:10 pm

    I Ơ̴̴͡.̮Ơ̴̴̴͡ nadia, Vicky n jasmine.. Nice!

  • Nana Ama December 31, 2013 at 10:30 pm

Christabel Ekeh and Confidence Haugen pulled the all white off with A…Yvonne Nelson, not a fan of her Gothic look, the jumpsuit and make up are not doing it for me.Jocelyn Dumas,Nadia Buari and Shirley Frimpong-Manso look awesome..more like it for movie awards i give them A+ Dunno the deal with Roselyn Nssigah, she looks like a lump of teal material. Yvonne Okoro looks ok but i think her sister Roselyn stole her thunder in these pics besides don’t like Ms Okoro’s hair .Nicki Samonas looks like she is wearing a pink Kite.I honestly believe Juliet Ibrahim’s dress may not be working for her or maybe it is her pose ,she looks like a flowy black and white fabric mass with fold over skin. The less i say of Nana Akua Adoo the better? What is that she is wearing? Red leather? I love Lydia Forson but her blue lipstick is not working for me …it looks better suited to a Halloween event. The man did generally ok with my favorite being Majid Michel

  • Nana Ama December 31, 2013 at 10:30 pm

    *men

  • jinkelele December 31, 2013 at 10:41 pm

Best dressed cant really pick but all the men did really well in the style department

    • Leila January 2, 2014 at 9:01 pm

      Don’t you mean witch

      • flow January 30, 2014 at 9:35 am

Winch is broken english for witch. Am sure the person knows What he/she Typed.

      • mark February 7, 2014 at 4:36 pm

you are are a real womb wonderful descent custom big ups

  • lala December 31, 2013 at 11:13 pm

We gotta give it to Confidence she covered and looked very decent. I am loving her transformation.

  • Ruby December 31, 2013 at 11:36 pm

If it was a Nigerian award the ‘Piranhas’ would have been out in a feeding frenzy! Because it is another country everyone is cooing about how nice they are looking! Naija sha! Too much self-hate! SMH

  • Chic December 31, 2013 at 11:49 pm

At least they all looked like they were attending the same event. This red carpet needs to be air conditioned throughout I can see a few faces that could do with some pressed powder or blotting paper. Otherwise more hits than misses me thinks.

  • Flawless January 1, 2014 at 12:18 am

Public notice to the chic in the black embroidered “akwa oche” dress, please never ever leave your house without a bra again. Thanks, a concerned citizen.
Joselyn Dumas looks gorgeous (as usual ).

  • kokie January 1, 2014 at 12:59 am

The men are all looking good and the ladies too. Over all clean and neat.
I’ll take Yvonne Nelson any day. She takes the crown.

  • naynay January 1, 2014 at 2:14 am

love Joselyn Dumas she looks good in her dress lol I must agree with you on that one lol Nadia Buari is a pretty girl BUT her dress sense is not good I think she needs a really good stylist.

  • Nma January 1, 2014 at 4:56 am

People from Ghana dress nice oh! More hits than misses.

  • Aquea January 1, 2014 at 11:05 am

Joselyn looks beautiful,!! Loving her dress. Nicki Samonas that’s a no no! Yvonne okoro is not doing it for me. Yvonne Nelson looks fab.not sure about the dark make up though. A few hits and misses but overall not too bad

  • stella January 1, 2014 at 12:41 pm

best dresssed chritabel ekeh, juliet ibrahim…. men james garner!! the rest hmmmmmmm so disapointed at the okoro sisters they fall my hand big tym.

  • Tee January 1, 2014 at 2:31 pm

Sometimes the fitting of a dress does the magic, which is what I see here esp on most of the ladies above size12.But in terms of quality material its a No No,but all in all I would say they dressed well to suit the ocassion but the men just did it for me,classic tux never looked better.

  • Angel January 1, 2014 at 2:44 pm

Definitely better than Nigeria red carpet pics, most of ‘em skin simply glows unlike …………fill in d gap. There must be something in the water or Nigeria’s weather that makes most pple’s skin look rough and unhealthy, including the so called celebs ..

  • Tsubs January 1, 2014 at 5:19 pm

When did Northern Affair premier? ?? It’s strange it won awards

  • marculey January 1, 2014 at 10:02 pm

Yvonne nelson pls eat 6 times daily nd lots of fatty food. Add to ur skinny being, check monalisa nd nadia out. Ain’t they gorgeous? Nice jumpsuit thou

  • Mabrr January 1, 2014 at 10:20 pm

Peace Hyde and the unnamed lady in pink were the best dressed.

Never seen so many unflattering outfits at one event. And these lot are all in the arts. They should know how to dress themselves by now. Too many fashion fails. From exposed boobs that should be in bras, to tight fitting dresses on muffin tops to hideous shoes. No no no Ghana.

  • Ruby January 1, 2014 at 10:38 pm

Indeed! How are their skins glowing? Psheeew! There is nothing in the water in Naija apart from your rose tinted glasses that makes you see everyone with negativity. We have better red carpets please… and their women are massive!

  • Endowed January 1, 2014 at 10:46 pm

My Ghana people are upping their game….compared to last year. One of the best red carpets in Ghana. I like Christabel’s dress I just don’t think it is appropriate for the occasion though. Nana Ekua I don’t know what I will do with you, that dress is is hideous and not appropriate for the event at all. I love all the men

  • Benashmom January 2, 2014 at 2:18 am

    Boring!!

  • mi mi January 2, 2014 at 9:41 am

they are making me ashamed to be Ghanaian. Trashy, boring and scandalous. nothing else to say. only Yvonne Nelson stands out

  • Athena S.A. January 2, 2014 at 10:46 am

I must say Im impressed with Ghanaian folks, they know how to dress for a red carpet!

  • Rossy Petite January 2, 2014 at 2:44 pm

juliet Ibrahim’s dress is gorgeous and rests so well on her body, this is probably the first time she’ll dress so well for an event in my opinion….and suddenly, I thought I saw Yvonne Nelson? hell no!! that must be Nelson Yvonne……makeup gone wrong.

  • Felinda1 January 2, 2014 at 3:11 pm

Useless Awards, how did northern affair be part of the category when it was just released last week not many have even seen it yet. MsTilii was right. Absolute nonsense.

  • opy January 2, 2014 at 3:24 pm

Pls what’s that nana girl putting on?? What’s it with girls with slippers breast showing off!! Oga ooo! Some girls and their fashion sense sha!! Yvonne nelson ur makeup is off, sooo off!! Nadia bujari what’s dt u have on ur head. Jckie Apiah u neva disappoint, keep it up . The lady in thery nice!! All in All I’ll say the Red carpet wasn’t bad! Keep it up Ghana

  • kind anon January 2, 2014 at 4:45 pm

    Jackie Appiah looking really nice

  • Leila January 2, 2014 at 8:32 pm

Ladies please take the time to tone your backs before investing in or wearing a backless dress/gown. It is very tasteless posing and exposing all that fold on Red carpet, it is not by force you do have a choice,so choose wisely this year. Abeg

.John dumelo…look so cute in his suits….

  • Catherine January 6, 2014 at 11:47 pm

Best dressed for me is Jocelyn. She looks so elegant. Jackie Appiah doesn’t look half bad. Yvonne Nelson looks pretty in her jumpsuit. Not particularly crazy about the make up

  • Eneni January 11, 2014 at 2:33 pm

Is this all the fashion Ghana has? I know y’all can do better haha, but a few did dress nice.

  • Akua January 18, 2014 at 2:40 pm

    Y so much hate?

  • wunmi February 10, 2014 at 2:59 pm

Well I’m just disappointed that the movie CONTRACT didn’t win as much as I had hoped it would and also cos Yvonne Okoro didn’t win best Actress for her performance in CONTRACT. I think she was great; she is such a good actress and highly under-rated. I was also hoping Adjetey Annang would win too; another under-rated actor. I am however happy that Hlomla Dandala won BAC (Actor); very classy fellow , good actor too plus the dude make brain gan. Did you guys see that body of his in the movie CONTRACT; spent most of my time watching him rather than the movie

  • ormis66 February 25, 2014 at 6:16 pm

All of the ladies except Joselyn Dumas “look a hot mess”. They need to hire an image consultant for these type of occasions.

  • rose darko July 1, 2014 at 4:36 pm

Jackie u look very lovely nice dress keep it up
