I agree with you on the other two but Eucharia’s brows formed part of her signature look back in day, not sure she will want to change that and I must add….other than that she looked fit.

    • goldfinch

      March 7, 2015 at 11:12 pm

My sister…………e tire me too o. The Meeting was released in 2012 and it is still getting nominated for awards in 2015. I just don’t get it. Are there no other movies?

    • FieryRita

      March 7, 2015 at 11:13 pm

My thoughts exactly. Was wondering the same thing. Was 12 years a slave nominated for any award this year? No. Next year, they will still nominate the meeting again. backwards is an understatement. I’m saddened by this.

    March 7, 2015 at 9:36 pm

Firstly eku and uti did a horrible job hosting the red carpet. Both of them were terribly unfunny and highly unprofessional. The dress eku wore to host the red carpet was a just so wrong, with that samurai jet li hair style. Im so glad she changed.

Ini edo what were u thinking. Lupita wore th exact same red cape dress to the golden globes last year. Bellanaija pls don’t insult lupita by doing a “who wore it best” segment with ini edo.

I loved osas gown but that hair, osas you did that same hair style 2 years ago to the 2013 amvca. Pls do something new.

As for the men, uti is my worst dressed, always is and always will be. Denrele should be ignored, he is clearly thirsty for attention
Ik ogbonna looks good, I can not even hate. Noble igwe, u look foolish.

Nothing memorable on the red carpet, toke we have seen you in that type of dree so many time, you are too safe and predictable.

    • Busarni

      March 7, 2015 at 10:26 pm

Hian; Bruno Bruno, I thought you were beginning to like Noble igwe. How come he now looks foolish.? I think you should rather be a support system for denrele. Lolz

    • goldfinch

      March 7, 2015 at 11:15 pm

“Bellanaija pls don’t insult lupita by doing a “who wore it best” segment with ini edo.”

      ROTFLMFAO……………

    • Blackbeauty

      March 8, 2015 at 12:24 am

I totally agree with you. Uti should be taken off that red carpet. He was terrible last year, even worse this year. Half the time, they were hogging the microphone. On another note, didn’t you guys see our Isio?? Flawless! Loved Genny, Toke, MJ as well.

    • Fidelis

      March 8, 2015 at 12:00 pm

All these failed entertainment people you people won’t rest?? Na God don FAVOUR Uti. He isn’t going anywhere anytime soon! Deal with it! You need a hug…go and work hard instead of trying to discredit someone. God bless you by the way

  17. missappleberry

    March 7, 2015 at 9:45 pm

Susan Peters looks worse than the masquerades in some Nigerian local festival. What is wrong with the girl sef? Like joke, she may be going mad in a subtle way and we won’t know. This may just be one of her cries for help. Damn! Eyesore!

  18. TT

    March 7, 2015 at 9:50 pm

Can I just say, Nigerian celebs have REALLY impressed me tonight!!! Round of applause, most of you looked fabulous!!!

    My best dressed:
    1. Oreka Godis – looking like a Nigerian princess!!
    2. Osas Ighodaro – one word….SLAAAAAAAYYYY
    3. Eku Edewor (in the green CLAN dress) – goergeous, as always
    4. Omawunmi – this is how a pregnent woman should dress for this sort of event. *claps*
    5. Genevive – her body looks amaazziiingggg in that dress

    Honourable mentions:
Dakore – I actually like the 2 different colours. She looks sweet.
Timi Dakolos wife – look at that bod!!! she looked better than half of the celebs there!
Dolapo Oni – she looks lovely, but I wish she’d have done somehting a bit more exciting. But she still looks nice. Very classy.

All in all, a very impressive red carpet. Well done!!

All hail the [email protected] genevieve, bfr I saw d pic I was saying pls not another simple dress, pls dress up woman and then, voila! Love u genny.
Noble igwe, nott every trend must be imitated! With d beards and jumping pants, u r beginning to look homeless and I must say loony.
    Best dressed dude- kunle afolayan

  20. Changing Faces

    March 7, 2015 at 9:55 pm

Genevieves award presentation was very awkward and uncomfortable : making faces and saying get fat on Amstel. Meanwhile she’s a brand ambassador… It’s not all about looks biko

Eku and Osas wore different colours of same dress… Mercy looked really nice, the pictures don’t do her justice. Most looked good

    • nene

      March 7, 2015 at 11:07 pm

gbam. she made a stupid comment, maybe out of anxiety, cuz she’s known for being misinterpreted. that statement about getting fat was dumb and could cost her the amstel malt money she’s enjoying. genevieve still doesn’t know how to compose herself and speak eloquently at this age and after many years in the spotlight. i know she’s a little shy, but close your mouth is you don’t know what to say.

    • Busarni

      March 8, 2015 at 8:32 am

She said get “Fact””. To clarify the info on 6 months supply of Amstel malta. Abeg, don’t spoil show for gene before the “”Genegerms”” attack you.

Susan Peter’s, Sister how far na?? Why dress like a fairly used UK chicken trying to be different.. Only Celeb that can slay what you wore and everyone will have no choice but love it RIRI, So sorry dear, its a No no.. For Denrele, He is the Best Dressed!!!
    .
    .
    .
.NOTE: Raise Your Words, Not Your Voice. It Is Rain That Grows Flowers, Not Thunder..

  23. o

    March 7, 2015 at 10:21 pm

I doubt Uti and Eku rehearsed at all! They did such a shoddy job, talking at the same time. Sika Osei was way better and Vixen also did a good job.

Eku’s red carpet dress * insert confused face* plus the Japanese style hair, all shades of weird.

Susan Peters and Denrele na only the two both of una waka come.

Vimbai and Ik did a fantastic job. Ik is still the best in his field.

Genevieve, what kind of slip up is dat?? How can you say “6 mths supply of Amstel Malta; get fat?” Haba??!?? To a brand that you are their ambassador? O ga oo

  24. keechi

    March 7, 2015 at 10:22 pm

Geez! I’m still trying to figure out what Susan Peters wore. At first glance, I thought it was a masquerade for entertainment purposes. Smh. Genny, Timi Dakolo’s wife, Osas, and Oreka did it for me.

  26. Teebaby001

    March 7, 2015 at 10:31 pm

@bruno You are absolutely correct about Uti and Eku hosting the red carpet. Uti wasn’t concentrating most of the time, they were just horrible!
Yvonne Ekwere definitely did a better job., but that her dress..mba
Sika didn’t do badly but that her first dress no make am..it looked rumpled. Her second dress was definitely better..
Wonder what Eku was thinking in that her first dress..I think she likes to think of herself as being “stylish” hence the ridiculous things she wears sometimes.
Ini Edo should please invest in a stylist!!! She badly needs one.
Rita, Genevieve, Kate, Busola Dakola killed it.
    Please ignore Denrele!!

Annie Idibia, Gbemi OO, Ini Edo, Mercy Johnson: Yessssssss!!!! Finally!! I knew you guys had potential
Rita, Toke, Genevieve, Zainab, Eku: My Faves. But that’s nothing new, sha. These babes been slaying since 1600.
Susan Peters, Eucharia: GET A STYLIST!!! NOT ROCKET SCIENCE!!
Dakore: I’ve seen you do better. Still look good, though
All in all, lovely red carpet

  29. southernbelle

    1. mercy johnson looked amazing.
    2. genevieve’s oufit was great, but the hair was bad.
    3. dakore looked good.
    4. basket mouth just wen t on stage to insult people, his performance paled in comparison to eddie kadi who was amazing.
    5. i don’t know why “the meeting” was at the amvca again this year, i don’t think they deserved all the awards they got.
    6. why does omotola shun the amvcas?

  33. FieryRita

    March 7, 2015 at 11:05 pm

Susan Peters went to her niece’s boarding school and borrowed her mosquito net for this event. Why? Why? She is def the worst dressed.

Ini Edo! Oh Ini! You are too beautiful for this mess. Im disappointed and heartbroken.

Genny looks great but there’s something about her personality that puts me off. I find her quite bland.

No matter how much Noble Igwe tries to look modern, I still consider him a very bush man.

Rita, Omoni, Nse, Toke, Tools, killed it.

Chiedu Ikezie pls try and stay off this stuffed penguin look. You are loved, btw.

Chinyere Adugu aka miss tourism…. What is happening to you? You look so frail, old and tired. You are being drained. take a break..

Taje Prest and the malta guiness bottle behind her look like twins, the black on the bottle is the only differentiating factor.

Femi Jacobs my Mr M. looking yummy

Alex ekubo’s blazer looks like a posh wedding reception dancefloor.

IK Ogbonna looks damn good. Everything worked.

I dont care what you think of Denrele, I effing love him!

I’m not a hater please. Just dropping my 2cents.

Eku, Zainab, Genevieve and Oreka – work it!

    Kunle Idowu – dapper.

Denola Grey’s velvet jacket and Alex Ekubo’s multicoloured jacket are different. They pulled it off.

    Kendra – nein nein.

    Susan Peters – no surprises.

I like the top detail on Mariam Adeyemi’s dress.

This is the best I have seen Emma Nyra.

Whatever Ono Bello has done to her face, she needs to undo it.

    Denrele – no words.

Can someone please tell me what Denrele Edun is about? That been said, many look wonderfully dressed, while some particularly the women, seem to think their value lies in their nakedness or what they want to see as ‘being sexy’….

My best goes to oreka that girl is classy she always nails it and she doesn’t even get the big bucks like this chickens that fool themselves trying to wear custom made dresses please can we get started with the fashion police amvca edition! ! Genevieve one word for you take a public speech speaking classes or study online. As for midred okoh and rita Dominic thanks for telling us that we don’t know how the calender works, or maybe mnet is seeing things from another angle just like basketmouth mentioned. I guess the german juice was too sweet to refuse the meeting? Shoot in 2012 released 2013, not nominated last year and winning this year very good. That’s why we are always backward. Well deserved award for me was oc and blossom

    O-R-E-K-A!!!!!!!! Winner by a mileeeeeee!

Bukola Dakolo looked more star like than most of the actual stars….d fit of the dress, her hair, face, everyyyything werked!!!

Following closely was Genevieve, Mercy, Zainab, Osas and Eku’s green look….the rest were alright.

Oreka’s picture brought plenty exciting emotions to my face, I was happy screaming ‘yeesss! Yesss babeee this is how you serve hotness…..’ and then I accidentally scrolled down to the next picture and sharon ojong wiped out every feeling I had been experiencing……its official, she’s invaded the wardrobe of the ‘castaway’ movie! Also not feeling Yvonne Vixen tryingg to recreate Mochedda’s HON look…..Mo is cute, this just looked like she was missing prom….

MY favourite men- Jide Kosoko and Kunle Afolayan, very lovely. Maybe its just my bias for men in native gear, speaking…
Jeremiah and Ik…too many accessories! A suit is called classic for a reason….its work is best done without much gra gra…

No point getting into Susan P…..her face looked good though.

I think most looked great. Love Mercy anyday! Alex’s jacket reminds me of my Rubrick’s cube… Lol. I have to say SO DAMN WHAT if Ini wore something seen on another red carpet……Jeez! cut the babe some slack! Indeed some of the awards given are questionable. It appears there is no sound process to nominations and voting winners. Anyhoo, I applaud the improvements in the industry so far.

What in hell’s name was Ini edo tryna achieve in that God awful knock off fake ass imitation of a dress? I mean if you wanna copy shouldn’t you thrive to be at least better? Hers is an insult to the designer of the original dress and the iconic moment Lupita gave us on the golden globes carpet. Worst part is the dress doesnt even fit. She tried it!
Yvonne ekwere, if I’m not mistaken Mo’cheddah pulled off the original look in the pink ensemble with the cape. So yours is another example of an epic fail at imitation. I can’t I just can’t!
I only see Isio Wanogho! That’s how to rock a red carpet,
Honestly, the real MVP at this award is the red carpet. That carpet has seen more worst dresses than a dress rack at Walmart.

    • Nonye

      March 9, 2015 at 10:27 am

But how do you know its a knock off? I don’t understand people. Cant please everyone. She looked good though sweating profusely on the red carpet. So once a person wears a dress another cannot? How will the designer sell.

Mrs Dakolo looks divine, scrolled back like 5times 2 check her out.

I can see some of our celebs have been taking styling tips from Miss SaHHara, cos that’s the only tangible explanation for the boobs I see spilling out.

Kendra etufunwa no get friends ni? How can she put on a skirt, borrow ify’s head scarf, hold it in place with safety pins and call it a dress?

    What’s with Yvonne Ekwere,s batman-meets-bridesmaid dress?

Henceforth any picture of Eucharia should be tagged EUCHARIA AND HER BROWS..

Am I the only one who thinks Lola Rae has a striking resemblance to Lola Omotayo, I been fear weda Lola don turn musician o.

Abeg make una tell Don jazzy and e crew make. Dem no dey come mime for live shows again, cos we already have the song in our phones. TuBaba too much sha, that’s how to do a live show.

Most of them looked nice sha + vimbai should consider wearing clothes that flatter her bust line. Was wondering if she left her damn breasties at home yesterday.

IK is the best man, he is a born events host, dude got me in stitches. He should consider doing stand up sometimes, that’s a show i’d pay to see..

    March 8, 2015 at 9:28 am

All due respect to don jazzy, that performance was just too dry. Haba na, I expected better from the Mavins. Anyways, Tuface lightened the stage. No lip synching pure class performance. Auto tunes no de allow our artistes develop on their art.

All the slits were a miss. Even MJ. That dress should have been allowed to flow. Maybe Toke’s slit or Judith’s but all alsits were a no no. And the sheen, see ehn the reason JLo looks magnificent in her sheen outfits is because her designers always get it right. They match her complexion. Toni’s dress would have been pretty awesome if the skin-like dress had matched her complexion. Same goes for Toke.

I like Oge Okoye’s look, Dakore, and the oh so fabulous BUSOLA DAKOLO!!!! Busola’s look stayed with me throughout the gallery of pics. Genevieve looked good. I liked Ini Edo’s look, don’t care for Eku, loved Di’ja’s and Omoni’s hair. Naija don’t fall my hand and have IK Ogbonna’s fiancee becoming the face of Naija (please).

Frank Donga’s creator: Kunle Idowu is HOT!!! The guys….thank you for the native and I spotted a bike in Olamide Adedeji’s pic XD. I’m liking that Agbada length.

Overall, this was a definite improvement and methinks Emmy would be proud.

Genny, Toke, Oreka, IK, my very own Gbenro, DJ Xclusive, Julius and wife all look amazing.

Hello Eku! Remember that Ice cream cone you stole to wear to the award show? Well the owners called, and they want it back……

  88. Rynyx

    March 9, 2015 at 1:27 pm

This year was an overall improvement from last year. most people attempted to take it up a notch and most of them succeeded. Eku, I cannot say I understand that thing you wore on the red carpet. It was very disorganised. I could tell someone kept giving you instructions from behind the camera, u do a bad job at talking with your eyes, was very unprofessional. you and uti kept talking at the same time and you talk forever to pass the mic to the persons you were interviewing so we didn’t hear most of them and wondered why only you guys were laffing, we didn’t hear the jokes. Osas Ighodaro’s opening performance was out of this world, amazinggggggggg. Kate henshaw was a stunner, her dress was fabulous and she looks awesome for her age. blessing effiom egbe looked yummy too, didn’t even know she has had three babies (I cant say I know why they are not here on Bella’s list), mrs dakolo, cuteness for days and dakore, I bow in awe. Blossom and Linda, award well deserved.
As for the meeting, nice movie but I cannot say I know why it was even received for this year’s awards. when they called for entries, it was for movies made within a certain range of time and the meeting is clearly out of that range, was released two years ago. how in pete’s name did 30 days in Atlanta loose to the meeting? movie with the highest grossing figures ever? statistics don’t lie so what happened? it was an ok event with the Nigerian factor of course.
