BN Collection to Closet: Beverly Naya in Nuraniya

Hello fashion lovers! Yesterday we announced that one of your favourite BN Style features – BN Collection to Closet is back. This feature is our way of showing appreciation for the African fashion industry, by shining a light on those who #BuyAfrican.

It kicked off with Toke Makinwa in Wana Sambo, and now we have Nollywood actress, Beverly Naya in Nuraniya.

The Nuraniya womsnwear design label is one that has become a crowd favourite.

Formerly known as Nubian Belle, the label was launched by Creative Director, Nura Ikhalea, and makes ready-to-wear & custom pieces for women who love fashion & simple style.

The brand’s latest collection, “Ambiguity“, explored minimalism with detailed pieces that are understated but bold. And one of our favourites, the maroon pants with pearl beading, is our focus for today.

When attending the MTV Shuga season 4 launch which held yesterday, Nigerian actress – Beverly Naya, decided to go for a chic 70s look in the statement Nuraniya pants, pairing it with a same-colour off-shoulder top.

She completed her outfit with a small gold clutch & matching accessories, and let her mid-length ombrè hair loose.

We love her simple chic look!

BEVERLY definitely pull it off beta than that fleshless model. And to think that I disliked the pants the first time I saw it on the model. PLSSSSS designer should allow normal looking girls model their wears for pple to appreciate their work fully and not these skinny walking MANNEQUINS called models.

Yes pls aikay, call the model fleshless ; it’s totally necessary and definitely not insultive. In case you didn’t know, beauty comes in ALL shapes and sizes. Yes there’s such a thing as being under weight and viceversa. But body shaming the model wouldn’t stop her from making a living with her “fleshlessness”.

the design and cut of those pants are super unflattering. it makes Beverly’s thighs look big and stompy and heavy.

    her laps look so big.
Beverly pls return those pants back to the designer who doesn’t know any anything about designing.

The top doesn’t do the pants justice. Maybe a loosely buttoned white silk blouse will be better.
