Family – and respect for ones parents – is crucial to Nigerian culture. But do the traditions of Nigeria continue when Nigerians go abroad to places like Canada?

BattaBox Presenter & Camera Team – Precious & Jumbo – take to the streets of Windsor, Canada to find out!

“According to my religion there are big lies and small lies!” says one guy.

“I know there’s a good lie and a bad lie,” says one guy. “The good lie helps you, but the bad lie hurts others.”

“Some girls – when they are not looking beautiful – you need to lie,” laughs another guy.

Precious says she has never lied – but one interviewee says “she’s lying!”

Nigerians in Canada are enjoying the sunshine and the celebration of Victoria’s Day. It appears most people are willing to lie to their parents – often for money, for other things except school. “If I’m broke I might say I need more money!”
