5 Intending Pilgrims Apprehended for Attempting to Carry Kolanuts and Palm Oil to Saudi Arabia

Five intending pilgrims for this year’s Hajj had been apprehended by security agents at Ilorin International Airport for attempting to carry Kolanuts and Palm oil to Saudi Arabia.

The state Amirul Hajj, Justice ldrees Haroon, disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday in Ilorin.

He said the pilgrims, two men and three women, were found carrying the items at the point of departure at the Airport

Haroon warned intending pilgrims against carrying such items to the Holly Land.

NAN reports that the third batch of 505 of Pilgrims from the state had been transported to Saudi Arabia on Wednesday, putting the number so far transported from the state to 1,515.

The last batch of 458 intending pilgrims will leave the state on Friday, August 12.
