1) Alexxa – The importance of building houses with quality materials and not substandard materials should be very paramount in the mind of the owner, architect and contractor. This will promote safety and protection of individuals. A house is supposed to be a source of refuge and shelter from unfavourable conditions. The reverse is the case in our society. These days, Many a individuals want to complete a Building project quickly without actually sitting down to contemplate the effect of using substandard materials and the hazard and the shame that comes along with it. This incident happened in my street. A day was set aside for the House warming of a certain man. Announcement had gone far and wide. On this day, many people were in attendance. while celebration was going on, a noise was heard like the rumble of the earth quaking and before we could decipher the noise, the building had given way and was crumbling. This was supposed to be a new house and one that is supposed to last for years to come. Many people were injured and more expenses were incurred that would have been averted if good and quality materials like Emilinks product had been used which have got durability. #Emilinks #mydoorstory #day28

2) Toluwani – Looking at my school building, the thought of collapse secondary and primary schools scares me a lot, Before the renovations kicked in during Gov. Fasholas tenure I literally do pray when entering any dilapidated structures in my school, the cafeteria was nothing to write about despite the wall been consumed with smokes and crack all over the wall, we had to get there before having any meal.
Most times I had to bring my meal from home just to avoid the cafeteria. We dare not go there whenever it’s raining, our cafeteria suddenly becomes a pool. I was never rest assured by a material used for the buildings not in case of universities it sounds so rare seeing a collapse classroom or hostel. During my SSCE our invigilators had to call in the ministry of education just visit the school and see the condition of we student.

The emphasis laid then was all about using good and quality materials for building any structure, ours then was the alternative. #Emilnks #Bellanaija #Day28,#mydoorstory

5) Bukola M. – It happens a glorious day when I and my boyfriend concluded to find our most inspiring house to build, as we were moving down the street checking for the most wonderful building with the best constructing materials we saw a beautiful white and sky blue duplex that we totally fell in love with, the interior was perfect from Sitting room to the Bedroom was a hit back to back and the exterior material including the designs. I was partially happy because we had no enquiries about the real building materials, also the day was stressful at the same time our walk was about 20km down the street searching for correct house,as we were about leaving a car drove out of the compound, immediately we humbly and joyfully seek for enquiries of the materials used for the building. The reply was “Emilinks is the best”, we look at each other and smiled. We were astonished and confused why on earth will an adult reply like this. At the end of it all the man expatiate himself and we discovered Emilinks produce the best constructing material and indoor furniturese. I quickly give my boo my phone to give me a snapshot with the beautiful building and since then I and my boo promise to keep Emilinks product as our best safe buildinh materials and never go wanting of Emilinks product. 6) Benjamin N. – It made the headline of news, and everybody knew about. It was the building collapse at Ikate, Lekki, Lagos that occurred in March, 2016. I brought this story up, because I was a “live and direct” eye witness. I was in the building, some hours before it fell. Luckily, for me, I had gone on an errand for my boss. I lost him though. As I was coming back from the errand, the event occurred, I couldn’t hold myself back from shouting, both for my life saved, and for the ones lost.

At the end of the day, news had it that it was as a result of bad foundational planning that caused the incident, but families were shattered already.

I learnt a big lesson from that event. He who builds in a rush, digs his own grave early enough

7) Taiwo P.‎  – DAY 28 #Emilinks #MyDoorStory
I remember when we were little kids and
would stay at grandma and grandpa’s
house all night.
We would get scolded when we talked in
bed until once again the room would
grow quiet.
Just when we thought we were out of
trouble, one of us would think of some-
thing funny to say. We could hear footsteps
coming down the hall, that meant that grandpa
was on his way.
Now grandma and grandpa could be quite
stern, but never could they be mean.
Mostly it was a lot of love that came
from them, that is what we had seen.
Finally we would settle down for the
night and before we knew it, it was the
next day. We weren’t so anxious to get up
because we had talked the night away.
Grandma would yell, you kids get up,
Get out of bed it’s time for you to eat.
We could already smell the biscuits,
bacon and eggs, we knew we were in for
quite a treat.
We were right because when we saw the
table set with all the goodies galore.
It only made us want to stay a grandma
and grandpa’s house more and more and
more.
This is now history and the house is still standing because quality materials were used

8) @kemmykemi – @bellanaijaonline #Emilinks #MyDoorStory
This is my father’s house, a family’s house which was built 36 years ago. The house was build with standard materials including the painting on it. The paint on my father’s house was never retouched ever since the house was built and as you can see, the paint is not peeling.
My father was once told me that all his friends that were able to build a house together with him some as lost their houses due to the substandard materials that was used. He said he told them to buy quality materials and also investigate the materials bought by the building contractor to know if they are good but they refused and did not yield to his advice.
My father said to me that my child, don’t just build a house for building sake, build a house with quality and standard materials so as to have peace and rest of mind when you are old.

9) lariegurl – Beauty doesn’t only lie in d outside but also d inside. Using good and quality materials protects u from unforseen occurrences. Like d function of a skeleton in d human body, building materials help to hold houses firmly.
My story is a fire accident dat actually happened in my old house last two years. I and my family were watching a weekly programme in the sitting room. Suddenly, I started perceiving smoke and everywhere was becoming cloudy. The smoke was coming from the kitchen towards the courtyard. My brother quickly ran and it was FIRE coming from my neighbour’s courtyard. We all rushed out to look for water to quench it but the fire started spreading to our courtyard. Before the twinkle of an eye, our house was also ablaze Our roof caught fire immediately.. Even the walls started crumbling. We all were confused on what to do. Water couldn’t save us. We started moving things out. At the long run, we were able to get some gadgets out and our credentials. We lost everything else to the fire. Our house was now in crumbles. Today, our lives have changed because experience taught has thought us in a bitter way. To avoid future occurence, my dad bought the best building materials which our old apartment lacked. He bought some from Emilinks and I bet u, we are enjoying ourselves right now because Emilinks got us covered. Emilinks brand save you money, make your home longer-lasting, make your home more valuable, and lessen harmful environmental impacts. Start patronising Emilinks today and become the architect of your own world. #Emilinks #MyDoorStory #Day28 @bellanaijaonline

10) @aiyopro – @bellanaijaonline Currently, our currency is worth 400units of the dollar. Majority of Nigerians can’t afford to pay for imported products anymore. Nigeria is a country with a lot of forests and uncultivated land but because of out lousy attitudes we leave our natural endowment in search of greener pasture abroad. Emilinks is not just a business but a revolution and also a movement to challenge and serve as an eye opener to all Nigerians that we need to be totally dependent on what we have. Emilinks is our own. Emilinks is a leading example on how one can turn raw materials to quality products and sell them at a cheaper rate than imported products. Have you not read heart breaking stories since this competition began? That if you have been following the competition. You can’t risk staying in a building constructed with substandard materials. Don’t risk construction your house with bad and counterfeit materials because of the present state of the economy. Don’t you want to get to the end of the tunnel? Emilinks is here for you, holding you by your hand and giving you quality at a cheap price.

There is this saying that says “Anything that’s worth doing is worth doing well”I guess my uncle put that into consideration when building his house. My uncle’s house is like heaven on Earth. When he was building it he ordered for the best quality doors from Emilinks, wardrobe, kitchen cabinet, bed frames etc all from Emilinks. He also called the best architects. Hard work really pays. Me and my siblings always run down to his house whenever we are putting on a good attire in order to have a nice snap shot. The house is so solid that I think it will stay beautiful forever. A good house is beautiful, solid and safe. The last touch to a good house is an Emilinks door

See one!, see another!! oh!! oh!! oh!! oh!! oh I shouted jumping up and down like a chicken.Tomi shouted again kill am!!!!!!!.Everyone at home was tired. Rats had taken over everything in our house.. They ate almost everything, foodstuffs, pepper, fish everything in the house including Maggi. My mum’s wrappers has been destroyed by rats. I was pissed off because termites were feasting on my clothes. My dad was so angry,he saw nO reason why newly built house will be having wide holes around the walls. I too wondered how a house we just moved in two months ago will be cracking. It was a tragedy for the family. My dad had been dupped, he was supplied fake materials When he was building our house. We had no option but to park out before the house collapses.A house made of poor equipments never lasts long and it also dangerous. Get wise now, Use Emilinks #MyDoorStory #Emilinks ‎‎

What is worth building is worth building well. We live in a rented building at Greenfield Estate and with all honesty, it is not just a beautiful house, the Owner of the house built a home. Let me start with the gigantic strong gates that you can’t access anyhow and even when you do, the Strong and Reliable Emilinks Door that provides Personal Security against intruders as humans and Pest. The well Fitting Emilinks Wardrobe that organises my clothing, which saves me time as I always have what to wear at my convenience, the hard concrete wall the Carpenter complained of when he was fixing the curtains, the kitchen cupboards etc. He chose to build with quality and we have never called him for a repair.
He chose to build with only Quality materials which would make a home safe and secure come rain come shine.
Thanks to Emilinks for the discount Prices which has made Quality much more available.

Staying in benin, I have seen different types of buildings, I have seen the gud, the bad , and the terrible!!! This made me more aware of the advantages of good and quality building materials and also of the disadvantages of Substandard materials .
I acquired a piece of land in a water logged area, but I am not suffering like others are because I made sure I used quality materials… When the rains come, my neighbours would sometimes pack some of their properties to my place to protect them from the water! Mmm, Substandard materials are terrible! It’s been 10yrs now, and my building is still standing… Some desert their homes during raining season and come back during dry season. Thanks to Emilinks for producing quality products, because of these quality products, I’m not running up and down… Be like me, get quality products and have peace of mind, Get Emilinks product… I have tested them and I’m still trusting them.

    Day 29
The earth shook that i thought it was the end of the world.
So i lived in the northern part of Nigeria, last year we received a bomb threat in my town targeting a shopping mall, We living close to this mall started living in fear. A month had passed by and nothing happened,we had all forgotten the threat and living life to the fullest as usual.
Suddenly, on this ill fated day i couldnt even remember what i was doing when i heard a loud noise, “the earth shook that i thought it was the end of the world”, everything in the house was scattered by the tremor. I stood up and looked outside and alas! An explosion had occurred at the targeted mall.
As a result of the tremor caused by the explosion houses in the vicinity began to fall. But surprisingly ours didn’t, it was then i remembered that my husband made sure he got the best quality product out there when building our house even the paint used in painting it is fire proof.
So when most building fell due to the tremor ours stood still thanks to quality materials. If my husband hadn’t use quality materials that day would have been a double shock and i wouldn’t have been able to handle it. Use quality for safety and peace of mind. #Emilinks #mydoorstory

Thief oooo, thief oooo was the sound that woke me up from my siesta on a faithful Friday afternoon.
Mrs Aduke has just returned from market and her children were away in school. she put down her goods and brought out the keys that opens the padlock to the front door. To her surprise, it was open, she thought to herseld,”I am so sure i locked this door before i left this morning for the market or maybe these children are back from school”. As she got into her room, she put on the light and her room was almost empty with the mattress turned upside down; then it dawn on her that her house has been burgled. She tried open other doors. it was of no use as all the locks were broken. Immediately she screamed “Am finished”. Of course the burglars really finished her. they left nothing. All she had left was the clothes she wore to the market. As people gathered, they noticed that the burglars came in through the ceiling at the back of the house and they left through the window by creating a space through the burglary proof with a metal object they found inside the house. Mrs Aduke had to mourn for weeks as if someone died. She was indoors for quite a long time until she was able to have at least two changes of clothes. What pained her most was that, she was just a tenant in the house. she had to suffer the consequences of using substandard materials in the house she lived. Tenants and house owners go for a house with quality materials for the safety of lives and properties. go for a house built with emilinks products and you can sleep with your two eyes closed.

I was sleeping in the second floor of the building
when I heard the sound not too long before I went
to bed at about 10 -10:30 pm on a Wednesday Night.
At first I thought it was a bomb before I could
realize anything I heard crack sound again and the
entire building went down with the whole eight of us
    sleeping in different rooms.
Sleeping next to me was my cousin James; we
    were both displaced when
the building collapsed. James was sheltered by
two beams that created a relief over-lay that
prevented the concrete from crushing him to death.
Everything went black when the building collapsed
and I could not move. The only thing I did was
digging the sand with my two hands looking for a
way out but all effort could not direct
    me to any exit point.
I was in between the building for hours until help found me on Thursday afternoon about 1pm. It is an experience I don’t even wish for an enemy, it was a near death experience.
Investigations later proved the building collapsed due to sub-standard building materials.

What I can advice to prevent happenings like this is provision of housing for people. If each person still needs to struggle to build his own
house with inadequate money, he hardly can pay for
good quality. Also if the industry is not
well regulated and anybody can be a
contractor just because you have access to people
who are in a position to give you contracts, then this buildings collapsing might just not end. #Emilinks #Day29 #MyDoorStory

    Day 29
I have a firsthand information on the terrible things that could occur as a result of using Substandard materials…
It was the last day in orientation camp(Nysc) I received my posting letter and was glad I was posted to a tertiary institution… I never knew that was the place I was going to learn a very valuable lesson from. I was posted as an assistant lecturer, so one day I had class and the course rep informed me on the venue of the lecture hall. It was the popular “UNITY HALL”. On getting there, the sight of the chairs and table was annoying, you could see fake written all over them. I eventually decided to ignore them and focus on my lecture, since it was my very first lecture.
Surprisingly and shockingly, we heard a loud thud and the building we were in, shook! My life flashed before my eyes.. My heart ran and left me. . . I was confusion personified. We were hearing screams and prayers from outside, dome students and I eventually gathered heart and mind, and slowly tip-toed outside only to find out that the stairs had fallen off, the school called a rescue team and we came down thru a ladder . It’s as horrible as it sounds. .. I was traumatized for weeks. . . The school management, brought down the whole building and started building, but this time, with quality materials! Someone eventually tod tod them of Emilinks… I’m still serving here and the new and rebranded unity hall is isaisalmost completed, u cud smell the quality materials a mile away. Thanks to Emilinks, another corper and students wouldn’t have to go thru my ordeal. Thus is my story.. I. I have of course learnt the importance of using quality materials the hard way!

They say “if knowledge is expensive, try ignorance”. Ignorance led my former neighbour back to his humble beginnings. Ohh! Hw Mr. Kofo – my neighbour loved QUANTITY and he doesn’t care about QUALITY things unlike his friend Mr.Wale who wouldn’t go for anything less than QUALITY . After both friend’s worked for d government for so many, they retired and decided to use their entitlement to build a house.Been close friends, they decided to build in d same vicinity, they used the same building style but the difference was the QUALITY of the building materials. Eventually, they completed their houses and both moved in.
As time went by,Mr kofo started experiencing problems ranging from leaking roofs, termites infestations, cracked walls to mention a few.Unlike Mr. Wale who was enjoying his money’s worth because he patronized QUALITY materials especially the wood aspect. Mr.Wale used #Emilinks wood for his roof frame and was protected from leaking roof and also used #Emilinks termites-proof doors,Kitchen cabinets and wardrobes and so free from termites infestations. Unfortunately for Mr.Kofo he had to sell the house because the cost of repairing was becoming unbearable.
So get QUALITY building materials, get #Emilinks furniture and get Peace of Mind

I am Single mother and an entrepreneur,i work hard daily to cater for me and my children, paying the house rent wasn’t helping matters so I made a decision to build mine. hey!!!!! Here comes the gossip of all times “see this lady she has a child already and now wants to build a house, which man will marry her like that??..I pity her” I turned deaf ears to all that was said and built my house. I used quality materials and employed knowledgeable people for it. It wasn’t easy cause materials were expensive and paying workers was times 2.but I said to myself the house rent I was paying wasn’t worth it, today it’s the toilet, tomorrow rain is dropping inside the house. That encouraged me to do mine better cause I don’t want to pass through such stress. Now I’m married,i live in my husband’s house and rented mine. My tenants are testimonies. Quality and standard buildings keep u safe and reduces stress.thanks Emilinks

There’s a saying that goes, anything worth doing is worth doing well… My friend and I both got loans from a microfinance bank for building. We agreed to build 4 bungalows each with the money gotten, then pay pack over the period of three years. My friend came to my office one day so happy, she told me dat she met a contractor who told her he could used the money and build 7 bungalows instead of the 4 bungalows we agreed… She said he told her there is a place in contonu where building materials are gotten at a very low price. I tried as a friend to talk her out of it but to no avail! She continued wit her 7 bungalows plan while I continued with my 4 bungalows… It’s been 5years now, I have been able to pay back the loan and I’m still enjoying my property. Sadly my friend has a different story entirely, she hasn’t been able to pay back her loan and she barely has tenants because abt 2years ago, the septic tank of one of the bungalows broke and a 1yr old baby fell in and died! Since then, tenants are always running away frm the compound! I can give this testimony because I used quality and standard materials from Emilinks. It is better to go for the best and have peace than use Substandard materials and be restless. Use Emilinks. Emilinks is tested and trusted!

It’s not an easy task building a house in Rivers State especially in the swampy areas, not to talk of how expensive building materials cost. I remember when I started my building at elepranwo axis in port Harcourt city. I was discouraged by my family and friends because it was too swampy and a lot of houses built their has never lasted for more than 2-3years. I assured them that mine was going to be different, and indeed mine was different
It’s been 7years and still counting, and my house is still in a perfect condition, not even a crack on the wall. All because I used quality and standard materials, I also ensured my workers were professionals. That was the secret to my house as people continue asking.
To crown it all I used Emilinks furniture for all necessary part which needed furniture and that made my building stand out.
Using good materials for building makes your building last long, improves the look of your environment, brings good health, saves lives and reduces expenses in future.

A house built with good building materials is a protection not just for you but for those living around you. You see some building contractors collect huge sum of money to carry out a project and after some months, you see such projects crumbling. There are a whole lot of them. An incident happened 2yrs ago in Lagos. This residence is a three storey building, right from when it was built it showed it’s fault but trust people, they still rented it,paying money for their deaths. This building is not so far frm whr I reside, it took only three years for this building to collapse but the most painful part was that there were occupants in the building including a woman who just had a newborn baby. It was a tragic one. Who do we blame?the contractor or those who ignored the warnings of living in a safe building? The use of good building materials is of utmost importance. Yes, these materials may be expensive but they are worth it because “Safety comes first”. Emilinks is known to produce quality furnitures, their doors are known for providing protection. A house built with quality materials would always stand the test of time.

This is the house baby, dad said pointing at the building.
Its amazing, beautiful, oh mommy would be so proud of us, I said to him.
It has been 4years since the death of my mum, and looking at the house and seeing dad wipe the little drop of tears in his eyes, I knew he still misses her, this was the building plan mum made before she died. I just couldn’t stop staring at the house, it’s beauty, the doors, the roofs, everything inside looked Like heaven, I could not wait to invite my friends over.
The thunder stroke so loud it woke me up, I could hear the sound of trees moving and the ground shaking profusely, my room was freezing cold..the thunder stroke again and this time worse than the last, the building was shaking..Dad, dad can you hear the whole ruccous. I ran to my dads room but he wasn’t there, where could he be I wondered. I ran out of the building, screamed my dads name but again no reply. Right before my eyes the house I called heaven began to collapse, how could this happen, I thought dad said he used the best of materials, my tears became uncontrollable. I remember watching an advert of Emilinks building materials on tv and how good they her..does that mean dad didn’t use Emilinks materials. Oh this house was built in mums memory, the pain was just too much to bear.
Anita Anita, I could hear dad call from a distance. I woke up with a start, sweating, still shaking and even with tears in my eyes. Anita you we’re having a bad dream, are you OK? My dad asked
Oh my God it’s only a dream, I said
Dad are you planning to build a house.
yes dear, the building plan your mum made, I think it’s time to create something out of it, why the question, he asked.
Dad if you want to start building please use Emilinks building materials, it is said to be the best if the best, in terms of quality and even beauty.
No problem, dad said. And I went ahead to tell him about my horrifying dream.

Most people misjudge me and call me all sorts of names; ostentatious, materialistic, miss want it all, e.t.c, but the truth is that I was born into a family that loves me like am the most precious thing in the world but then, that is one of the perks of being an only child.
A time came when my parents started hinting on the sad obvious fact that it’s high time I got married. Their concerns and advice fell on my deaf ears and the horror of it all started when my parents who have loved and cared for me like the oxygen they will breath in next depended on the carbon-di-oxide I exhale changed and became less caring and treated me with a cold shoulder shrug.
It’s not I don’t want to get married but how do I meet a man that has exquisite taste and loves me like my dad.
Not too long ago I met Charles. He is tall, chubby, dark, handsome and has a witty sense of humour like my dad.
The first time I visited his house I fell in love with him more because I noticed the fine finishing, the kitchen cabinet, fire proof doors and the luxurious entrance door that he purchased from emilinks. I knew he was the one for me because just like my dad he understands that a house cannot be a home if it is not built with solid and quality materials and what other way can one define quality if not with emilinks.
Thank God my dad sent me to make payments for him at kilometre 24 lekki-Epe Express road, Lagos at emilinks where I met my husband and thank God for emilinks for giving me the opportunity to create a second home from the home I had always lived in at an affordable price.

It rained heavily last week Sunday that lots of people could not go out. Sincerely I enjoyed the weather reason being that it was on a Sunday and I rested and also had enough time to prepare for the week. But it was not a palatable Sunday for some families. While I was watching the television and sipping the hot tea, I heard a strange noise about 2pm.
Help! Help!! Help!!! That was the noise we heard from the street. Out of anxiety, we rushed out to see what happened and behold we were all shocked and it was like a movie. There was a storm that made a building to collapse. Haaaaaaa, what could have happened was the question that everyone kept asking. No one could help. Families were trapped in the building which resulted to lost of lives and properties. It was so sad but that could have been avoided if only the house was built with Quality materials like Emilinks and not substandard materials.
The moral lesson is that No matter how expensive quality building materials are, its safe to go for the best.

The environment I live is filled with more illiterate than literate,am from an average home so we couldn’t afford to stay in a pent house.A few blocks away from where we stay is the most beautiful house house in my area.
One terrible Friday evening around 8pm we started preparing for vigil and all that was on my mind is the non-stop marathon clapping throughout the night where your hands ache and your fingers is about to break but you must keep clapping all because the pastor said there’s a witch in your family that doesn’t want your glory to shine.so around 8:30pm we left for church but I noticed on our way that I could feel rain drop on my body but I never thought I would later turn out to be something serious.not long after we got to church a heavy rain stated everyone was scared because it’s already over an hour and the rain didn’t stop but the pastor calmed us down saying “the time of Noah has gone and God promised not the destroy the earth with water again”everyone was relieved on hearing this and after 2hrs the rain stoped so we ended the vigil clapping our hands out as usual and I didn’t even mind because I was feeling cold and the clapping was a sort of exercise to generate heat.
On our way back from church on Saturday morning we could see people gathering and crying at a building few blocks away from my house and as I moved closer I noticed dat the most beautiful house in my area has collapsed overnight due to the heavy rain and luckily the owner of the house and his family didn’t die but was seriously injured.I could hear from the people standing that the man is supposed to have his 4th wedding anniversary the following Saturday and the event was a great loss to the family.Later on we heard from the contractor who supplied the blocks for building the house that the man ordered for cheap blocks and according to him cheap blocks are the ones with much sand and less cement which are definitely not strong enough but he warned him and he refused saying he wanted a house so bad and didn’t have more money.since that day I decided I’ll always invest my money on quality because quantity without quality is useless.#my doorstory#bellanaija#day29

    Day 29

The house behind me is our new house ,or better still,it’s our quality new house! We moved in barely 6months ago and Dis last months has been the best 6months of my life…Quality is indeed good. Our former house was nothing to write home about! It was “FAKENESS PERSONIFIED”. Everything about our formal house was terrible, whenever the front door has to be moved, we wud have to lift it up,then move it! Sometimes the wall of the kitchen shocks! The wardrobe was very good friends with termites! Lest I forget, the worst of it all was that it was a 4bedroom flat but we living in it like a 2bedroom flat, because, two rooms were abandoned! You could see the sky thru the holes in the ceiling, as such wen it rains, the bedroom becomes a mini swimming pool.
My father got tired of the problems of the house. He made sure he got quality materials while building our own house,he got products from EMILINKS and we haven’t regretted it a bit!He used products in the right proportion and today I have a happy story…It is true when people say” who nor like better thing”…I have tasted quality and I never want to return to a house with substandard materials. Use quality materials, patronise Emilinks, it’s the best thing you can do for urself and for ur household!#Emilinks #MyDoorStory

Buildings, like all structures, are designed to support certain loads without deforming excessively. The loads are the weights of people and objects, the weight of rain and the pressure of wind–called live loads–and the dead load of the building itself.
Collapse of buildings is not new to Nigeria, neither is it only peculiar in Nigeria, however that will not stop us from taking critical look at the situation and finding a solution to it.
Collapse of building though can happen to any kind of building but the casualty of multistorey buildings can be so terrible.I asked myself what could have been the causes of collapsed building only to realized that quack building materials is the major cause of collapsed building and to be on a safer side the best is to go for quality building materials like EMILINKS.

“Standard and substandard building materials are two sides to a proverbial coin. The relevance of standard materials have been stressed through various means. The Yoruba’s have stressed it’s importance with this adage :” Ile ti a fi ito mo, iri ni yio wo
A house whose building blocks are plastered with saliva, will in no time be brought down by dewdrops” Similarly the Bible in Matthew 7 v 25 made the point : “The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock,”
Quality materials enhances quality life, with quality materials, lives will not be cut short unexpectedly.
The house opposite ours was built by an employee on the request of his boss, unknown to him, his boss wanted to compensate him with the house before leaving the shores of Nigeria.
Uncle Gbade oversaw the building of the house as if it was his ,ordered the best building materials money could buy. When the key to the house was given to him by his boss, he felt elated and broke down in tears tears of joy because he ensured quality materials were used. At the house warming, the name of the House was unveiled as :”Stronger than Dewdrops ” When he shared his story people understood why the house was named such. The building is over 20 year’s now and it still stands. Standard Building materials=Standard Life .choose wisely,Go for Emilinks

It is good to know that a house is built for either to live in and feel comfortable, and this can only be achieved by either renovating or bringing up a fresh building using a well defined furniture such as Doors, windows, wardropes, tables, chairs and many others to mention but a few. It is quite obvious to note that these furniture can be found at emilinks, a place where standard and authentic furniture are been manufactured, because to me, i referred to # emilinks as home of quality furniture and other things you might need and you can be sure. I could remember of a building i once lived in. One day, when rain was about to fall, i quickly rush home thinking that at least it will be more safer to be at home while i watch the rain fall. But unfortunately for me the rain came with a very heavy wind as it fall and swept off the roof of the building as if it was where someone is trying to sweep off the dirt from the floor. Oh! gosh i could feel that day as i narrate my ordeal on that faithful day. At the end i started wondering if the roof of that house was actually made the right way it should and i also thought it would have been better i stayed out there while the rain fall on me rather than wasting my energy as i ran home. It was since then that i decided that any building, that is built without #emilinks product, it’s not for me anymore. Since then i have learnt my lesson. #emilinks

    Day 29

One cool evening, as I was strolling through my neighbourhood, taking the sugar cane I just bought.

    I heard shouting “Help Help”
Within seconds I saw people running towards a particular direction.
Out of curiosity I headed towards the same place to see for myself what was happening.

To my utmost surprise a part of a building has collapsed with a family of three trapped under it.

With much effort, the family were rescued and none was hurt.

Instead of the people affected to be rejoicing and thanking God for saving them, the following drama ensured.

Man: (With anger towards his wife) I have told you, times without number, when ever its raining like this take this child and stay in mama’s house till it stops raining but you won’t listen. Now see what your stubbornness has caused.

Woman: (In tears) How am I even sure, it was going to rain? The weather keeps changing, and am tired of always having to run, if only you had build this house with quality materials all these won’t have happened. (wiping her tears).

From nowhere an elderly man who happened to be their neighbor, Baba Sala by name chipped in.

Baba Sala: E don do E don do, haba!!! Make una pay better money build house, umba.

Make una build house with correct quality building materials umba.

Naso una go dey let old papa like me with waist pain, to dey run up and down.
Baba Kelvin, break this your house naw, build am back with quality building materials, na the reigning thing now be that.
    Life no get duplicate o

Man: Thank you baba Sala I have learnt my lessons. Never again will I endanger the life of my family like this.

Immediately he embraced his wife and child to himself.

Experience they say is the best teacher.
It does not have to happen to you before you learn some lessons.
A word they say is enough for the wise.

As you build those dream houses of yours, don’t forget to furnish them with #Emilinks products.
It gives it a touch of beauty and elegance.

then suddenly I jumped on my feet out of fear, gosh! It was my friend Razaq whom I visited that tapped me on the shoulder.

‘’Guy what are you thinking of?’’ He said

‘Guy I have to pack into my new apartment in few weeks time, since I could not afford a very good apartment I have to manage that one I told you about, the one near that fuel station, Guy that house is leaking badly, With the way things are now, i may have to pay for 1 year, I don’t have much to get a better apartment. I explained to my friend Rasaq.

“O boy, in this raining season, that is the last thing you need, Why not go for a much better and affordable apartment, there is one across that street after that mai suya, their building materials are of #Emilinks brand just like my own they are affordable, durable and comfortable to stay in’’ he said

The next day he took me there, and to my surprise, it was just the way he described it, We had to contact the agent immediately and I paid for 1 ½ years.
Wow, the house is just my dream house.

I have no more fears of having to sleep under a leaking roof.

23rd December 2012 we all traveled to the village as usual for the Christmas celebration. Omoh come and see my village has change oooo, see big big houses everywhere, standard and we’ll erected buildings,i was surprised at the same time glad that my Bush village is now developing.
Malaysian guys as they are popularly called are really working. Guys from the ages of 20-30 were the owners and landlords of these gallant buildings. This made my uncle so jealous that he swore to beat them, he never knew the quality of the materials or the professionals that erected the building, all he cared about was that he was going to beat them.
Oya na the time to build is here,my uncle went and chattered substandard product cause that’s Wat his pocket can afford. He actually completed the building and started boasting all over the village, He even went to the extent of putting up an opening ceremony for the house.
Gbagan!!!! 2years later saddest news occurred, my uncles mansion collapsed killing his aged mother. It was indeed a sad day all over the village. My uncle wept bitterly, but his tears couldn’t bring back his dead mother nor bring back the collapsed house to order. He learnt his lesson in a hard way. He promised himself not to ever copy others
It was later he found out the secret behind others stronge and durable buildings….. It’s Emilinks,,,,,,emilinks product is 1 of the major product that were used in the buildings in my village. All thanks to emilinks for standing the taste of time. My uncle has decided to build a little house as far as its emilinks product that is going to be used. His words exactly ‘it’s better is small and strong, than big and fragile.

A house well built, is a house well enjoyed and when i said well built i mean using a good and well defined materials. whenever a house is brought up with the right materials, it must surely last longer without collapsing. If you ask me of any manufacturer i think that can produce a well defined materials for bringing up a building, i will gladly advice you go for
    # emilinks. The #1 makers of the strong and superior furniture for making your building make sense. There are many importants of building with strong materials and fixing it with the right furniture such as those from #emilinks. First importance is that, a building built with superior materials and furniture last longer. secondly, it’s more comfortable to live in with a relaxed mind. Thirdly it hardly collapse. So many to mention but a few. Building a house on a low standard materials is like setting up a life threatening trap. Make the right choice today, go for the best, go for your well defined doors and furniture, go for emilinks, don’t make a mistake you will regret later just like a guy that built with sub-standard materials and in months time it collapsed. Go for the original. #emilinks # MyDoorStory.Day29.

Now I remembered then when the present minister of commerce Senator Chris Ngige was the Anambra state governor, then there was a renovation of some plaza , as work was on going , that is they were upgrading the plaza in OCHANJA MARKET BESIDE THE ROAD ZIK AVENUE ROAD to a story building, though the decking as been done far back it was still strong but the new setting of block sets over it which has gotten to roofing level some part already roofed but later collapsed all of a sudden all because of a selfish interest with the use of inferior materials and it happened early in the morning when people were just arriving, the havoc will have been times 7 of what was recorded then, I manage to escape purposely because I was looking up to it saying in my mind that by the time they will finish it more shops will be available, not knowing it is what will cause pain to people within,
But some buildings today too were still built with inferior materials. Why because some marketers of building materials will present inferior ones as superior or standard materials all because of quick wealth, #Emilinks stands out best whenever you intend building or doing finishing and furnishes always make #Emilinks your choice because you won’t have a dime to regret over whatever you purchase from them. am I living witness to this fact that they only deal with standard materials my dad friend called #Emilinks home of superiors and standards when it comes to finishings and furnishings. One thing I know is people could avoid inferior materials the importers or producers will have no option than to stop making it available.

    Day 29 #Emilinks#MyDoorStory#
I lost my father when I was three, and I was adopted by his best friend, Alhaji Tanko. Alhaja Tanko was a shrewd businessman and a landlord. He had business acumen but he sometimes took decisions that proved unwise. One of such decisions landed him in trouble. It all started when a multinational company, set up a branch in my state, very close to my residence, and recruited workers from different parts of the state. The influx of workers led to a high demand for rented apartments. All the rooms in Alhaji Tanko’s two-storey building, strongly built and fitted with quality products, were rented out and the demand kept increasing. So, he thought it wise to build another two-storey building. His desire to make quick money, while spending less, clouded his sense of reasoning, and he went for low-grade building materials and imitations. He forgot that he couldn’t have his cake and eat it. Construction started and in a twinkling of an eye, work was completed and new tenants moved in. Alhaji Tanko made a lot of money and in his greed, he always told us how much he regretted spending money on quality building materials in the past, when he could’ve gone for imitations and saved cost. Everything seemed ok until one fateful day, the new building just collapsed. We heard cries for help coming from the rubble but there was nothing we could do. Blood trickled everywhere. We were petrified. All we could do was pray while we waited for rescuers. Everbody in the building died except for two men who suffered life-threatening injuries. They got well eventually, but they are still deformed. Unsurprisingly, the other two-storey building that was built with high-grade materials and fitted with quality products, stood firm like the rock of Gibraltar. Alhaji Tanko was arrested, arraigned, found guilty and given a lengthy jail term. The last time I visited him in jail, he was contrite and he said to me, ” if I could turn back the hands of time, I would do the right thing. I am the architect of my downfall. Buying substandard building materials seemed like a smart move, but I’ll pay for it for the rest of my life. While some people purchase substandard products out of ignorance, others like me, do it to save cost. Now, listen carefully, whatever you do in life, always be mindful of this adage: ‘you can’t have your cake and eat it’. There is no way you’ll opt for something cheap without suffering the misfortune that comes with it.

@bellanaija, The importance of building houses with quality materials can not be over emphasized. . The frequency of collapse building structures in Nigeria in the past few years have become very alarming and worrisome and many lives and properties have been lost. for years have been hearing about collapsed building both in newspapers and from people but i never gave it much thought not until i witnessed it. There was a 5 storey building in my street that has been in existence for 2 years. which occupied lots of families.
One day, there was a heavy rain and the building was shaking and the building was almost down. so, occupants of the house started screaming and people started running for their lives. while some people were trying to run for their lives the building collapsed and people were trapped under the building. many lives and properties were lost and i started asking myself questions and i realized that the building collapsed not because of the rain but because quack materials were used in building the house.
So, to avoid buildings being collapsed, it’s is best to go for quality building materials such as Emilinks. #Emilinkssaves

Few days ago in my street , there was heavy rainfall, heavy wind i must say, my street is a new site, there was new new sets of classy houses but yesterday every house there faced a 3 hour heavy rain and wind, let me say yesterday proved as an examination day for those house to test among themselves which one that was built with standard or substandard materials,
As it was raining a lot happened i was viewing from window i saw people running ecter sceptre. Immediately it stopped raining i step out of my house , i feel saddened based on the rate of damaged caused as a result of making use of substandard material when building a house , and mostly those affected now were in disarray because they were confused.
My own house was not affected, i feel so lucky not only by the grace of God but also because the house was built with standard materials. Roofs of many houses were removed by the heavy wind some parts of those houses even collapsed, and people begin to cry counting on there losses which could have not happened had it been the houses were built with standard materials,
But my house and other ones that were built with sets of standard materials there roofing’s remained unshakable for the winds all i am hearing though my window when it was still raining is vum vuuuu vum vum vuuu vum as the wind blows,
I am able to write this am writing now only because i was save and not a victim to the havoc that happened yesterday as a result of standard materials used in building the house i lived and as well God grace, but there is a say that heaven helps those who helped themselves, which i may relate to the wise use of standard materials at the start to the end of the house in which i lived.
I don”t need to worry whenever it seems like raining. It was once stated by my father that a properly planned things prevents poor performances, In which i rewrite it as follows:-

*1. A properly planned house built with standard materials will prevent one from unscheduled house reparation expenses or a sudden house collapse.
    *2. A non properly
house built with substandard materials will give to the owners and the inhabitant sorrows upon sorrows, backwardness even sudden death that may come from houses collapse e.t.c,
It is good having a house that gives one rest of minds with a secured doors and furniture”s exactly that of #Emilinks.
For house finishings and furnitures Emilinks is the best correct answer

A building i live in right now is a typical example of a house erected with a standard and quality materials and furniture(emilinks). It has lasted for more than 18yrs yet still bears the look of yesterday’s building.
I am an advocate of standard materials, both in building houses and in other aspects of our lives because, standard materials guarantees our safety against the fiercest of rain & wind. Don’t forget that when it gets to furnishings?…
…emilinks holds the flag as number one.
Spend your money where you will reap the good value of it. # emilinks

Seeing people being pulled out of that collapsed building in asokoro last week provoked fear and anger in me…..speaking to a personnel of the NEMA enhanced the anger I had in me…the personnel said to me “98% of of collapsed building in Nigeria is as a result of the inferior building materials that are used in the construction of houses and other buildings”…this made me angry because I don’t know why anyone would risk the life of other people just to make little profit….Seeing the injured and the dead made me realize the importance of using quality building materials because there might be no second chance….

    Day29 #MyDoorStory #Emilinks
We spent just two years in our former house and we learnt the lesson of our lives there.
The house looked really good from the outside but only those who lived inside understood the struggle, the pain and discomfort that house caused.
Our landlord chose to build the house with really crappy products. It was almost like we didn’t have a house, when there was a heavy rain, it fell on us even though we had a roof. We needed an umbrella inside our house, because of the bad roof! The doors were so bad that the rain will beat it so badly and escape freely into our rooms. Whenever rain fell, the next day, you will see everyone taking their mattresses under the sun to dry them. The worse part is that the rent was so high, yet we had no comfort whatsoever.
My next door neighbour once spent a whole month in the hospital because she left her new baby inside the house and when the rain came, it beat the blessed little chid so bad. It took the grace of God for his survival.
My husband and I learnt a lesson from all that, that is why when we were ready to build our own place. We took an extensive research that helped us make a decision on #Emilinks products. Now we are living in a real house. The beauty is not just in how it looks but we have true protection and that is what a house should provide, atleast, when good products are involved.
Thanks to Emilinks for putting quality above price.

I dont have much to say, only because things at times went in a wrong way.

There are 2 men in my street they have land in a busy business environment, they planned to build lock up shops, i was there when one was asking the other that who help you mold this blocks is like they are not strong, how many blocks did he get from a bag of cement, he replied 45, then he said its to bad at least 32 blocks from a bag of cement is ok, this other man later built those lock up shops he called plaza with substandard blocks. 6 months later users begin to wonder why is it that whenever it rained the entire wall will be soaked with water thereby spoiling there goods in carton. Immediately i remember the blocks type used in the building, just 2 months ago wall of about 6 out of 12 lock up shops there has serious cracks on the wall, This man has been doing all sort of repair in a house that was built less than a year.

The worst happened when one of the tenant tried to renovate his own shop to his own taste, because he wants to use the place as a studio, then he got all furniture needed e.g. door, wardrobes, can you imagine what really happened that day, hmm , as the brick layer hits the sledge hammer to remove the existing door, the whole front wall collapse.

House built with substandard material are hopeless because there will be repairs day in day out, and artificial earth quake may occur any time.

Thank God someone has reported the building to the environmental officer and the plaza has been labelled sealed because its a time bomb that may collapsed at any time.

Unlike the other man who built his own plaza with standard material, he has remained intact without any sudden repear . He has not be called for even once to repair a dem in the plaza

This Emilinks challenge just reminded me of an experience I had years ago. Growing up my dad worked as a civil servant, while my mom was a primary school teacher. There was never enough money, and one year we couldn’t pay our rent, so the landlord came with his boys and threw our things into the street. We were then forced to move into my dad’s family house. Everybody else was afraid to live there because of how badly it was constructed. The roof had holes and leaked. The walls had cracks, some rooms emitted electric sparks, and the doors were broken, so for security we used a heavy wardrobe to block the entrance door at night.

We were specifically banned from playing in the courtyard which had cracks in its pillars. One evening our parents were not in and it was raining so we couldn’t go outside. So myself, my brothers and a few neighborhood friends decided to play football in the courtyard, while our only sister watched. We kept hitting the ball against a pillar and then the unimaginable happened. I heard the sick crunch as the pillar cracked and started to fall. I remember screaming at my sister to run, while the others fled, but she remained rooted to the ground as she wet herself in fear. I had just enough time to grab her and push her out of the room before the whole area came crashing down. It was a miracle that none of us was seriously hurt. That night we slept in a neighbor’s house and with the generosity of kind friends and church members, we raised enough money to rent a two bedroom apartment.

My siblings and I recently celebrated our parents 35th wedding anniversary by buying them their own house. My dad had raged on about how great Emilinks furniture is from seeing them at his friends homes, so we ensured the doors and wardrobes were made by Emilinks. We are rest assured that they would never again have to face the horror of a collapsing building and the tears of joy on their faces brought tears to my eyes as well. There is nothing more important than living in a well constructed house preferably furnished with Emilinks furniture for further insurance. #Emilinks #MyDoorStory #Day 29

My body all over with dust, my eyes closed, and then i started calling out for my husband, and also my son. i myself couldn’t move my leg, it was pressed by the wood from the roof. What in the heaven am i going to do? I started praying, oh lord, please keep my family safe, please, hear my prayer, Few moments later, muuummmyyyy, came Junior’s voice from behind a slab of wall. My heart skipped a beat, Junior sweetie is that you? I almost shouted of joy, I don’t know how i got the strength to pull my leg out, and then scampered to where my baby was, thank God you are alive. I almost forgot about my husband, Darling, preeetttyyyy, his voice cracked, are you there, i shouted yesssss! honey am here, with Junior, we are ok, where are you, i could still see in the darkness, i heard a noise, then his hand moving, my poor husband, he took the deadliest blow, but at least he is alive, You can imagine where i got the strength to pull my love out of the slab of wall, i hugged him like never before, oh thank God, you are alive, thank goodness, what will i do without you here? i patted him on the head like a baby, of course he was my baby boo, lols, but it wasnt funny that night, his eyes were still closed, we carefully walked out of the building, out through the fallen wall, all this happened because of substandard building materials, The whole building collapsed completely the next morning, it happened because of substandard building materials Please not everybody can be lucky like this, build houses with standard and quality materials, build with #Emilinks, and be safe, thanks to Emilinks already otherwise it’s too dangerous, i would have been a widow by now, #Emilinks #MyDoorStory Day 29

On our way back from church on Saturday morning we could see people gathering and crying at a building few blocks away from my house and as I moved closer I noticed dat the most beautiful house in my area has collapsed overnight due to the heavy rain and luckily the owner of the house and his family didn’t die but was seriously injured.I could hear from the people standing that the man is supposed to have his 4th wedding anniversary the following Saturday and the event was a great loss to the family.Later on we heard from the contractor who supplied the blocks for building the house that the man ordered for cheap blocks and according to him cheap blocks are the ones with much sand and less cement which are definitely not strong enough but he warned him and he refused saying he wanted a house so bad and didn’t have more money.since that day I decided I’ll always invest my money on quality because quantity without quality is useless.#day 29 #my doorstory#Emilinks

The disadvantages and dangerous effects of substandard material is vast and numerous. You might say it won’t cause this but it will cause that. Ignorance they say is not an excuse and it can’t guarantee your safety, substandard materials will also not guarantee your safety too.
When we talk of Quality materials it includes having a good building construction plan, competent contractor, and also laying of good and solid ground foundation.

This reminds me of an incident that I can’t forget. About a neighbouring building near my house (4 storey) that was built within 4 months or even lesser. The building have been completed but remaining the painting aspect. Then one rainy night, the rain was really heavy that night accompanied with wind and suddenly there was sounds like falling trees. Then everyone in my neighborhood ran out to know what’s falling, Lo and behold it was the new building, that has been completed remaining the painting .
Come to think of it, anyone would say that the house was built with substandard materials or that the foundation wasn’t solid and so on.
But with Emilinks you will be supplied with good and quality building materials, they also offer advise to people. They are trusted and their products are reliable. So let’s help ourselves and also guarantee our safety by hooking up with Emilinks

I am Emmy and I writes from Edo. And through my article, I want every Nigerian know and be aware of how important and relevant it is to build with good quality materials and not substandard and look-like quality materials which are most common in our market. With that said, I know well of a government primary school project in my locality that was finely built and almost completed but will you believe me that the beautiful building project completely collapsed and sunk to the ground with roof on top the debris and the lousy contractor manoeuvred his way out and blame was on the land topography and the drizzy rain with heavy storm that day. What a complete shame because evidences showed lack of standard quality building materials. Houses are man’s dwelling place for shelter and security; and building contractors and engineers must know this and not endanger man’s life by compromising this fact via using of substandard materials so as to embezzle their purses. And also when we build in our society or have chance to build, whether be it a fine house or not a fine one, as the plan may be, we should do it with quality materials and not have the mindset of using materials that are opposite of the real thing just because of how cheap the price may be. My mommy will always say, when you do something, do it well and by application to this article, I charge every Nigerian whether poor or rich that when we build, we should do it well so as to avoid consequences of any sort. Build with quality materials and with #emilinks, it is sure….. #emilinks don open e door wide open so dat every person, poor and rich go know the essence, relevance and importance of to build with beta quality materials for market.

I still don’t understand why some engineers would choose to use substandard products even when they have been paid the money for good quality ones. My mom has been saving for years to build her own house, and recently started to realise her dream. She contracted an “engineer” to supervise the building, and she specifically begged him not to use substandard products and also requested that he use emilinks doors and wardrobes, as market survey done by her had shown that emilinks doors and furniture were not only strong but also affordable. He assured her, and she paid 70% of the sum he requested, to balance him with the rest as the work progressed. I went on an impromptu inspection of the site and discovered that the engineer was lying to my mom! As a civil engineer myself I could easily identify the substandard products being used for the building and also noted that the doors he had ordered was definitely not emilinks, but a cheap substandard copy.

Our family confronted the engineer, but he said there was nothing he could do, and when we threatened to speak to the police, he laughed at us and said his brother was a top official in the army. Disheartened and sad we went home, not knowing what to do. Then my mom came up with an idea. In the morning, she tied a white wrapper, marked herself with some chalk and carried a calabash filled with some cowries and some shells we had in the store, filled a decorative gourd with red wine and ketchup to look like blood, then walked into the building site bare footed. The workers ran away in terror and watched from a distance as she cycled the site 7times, and sprinkled the blood like mixture on the ground, mumbling in our native language that anyone who tried to cheat her would have 7 major calamities befall him and his family unless he changed his ways, then left without speaking to anyone. Within 15minutes the engineer was calling my mom’s phone non stop and when she didn’t pick up, himself and his entire family were at our house in the evening, postrating and begging for forgiveness. Within two days all the substandard items had been replaced! The doors were changed to real emilinks doors and the house was finished at least two weeks before the deadline!

Myself and my siblings still laugh at the fear of the supernatural that made this man do the right thing, especially because my mom is not into fetish practices, and just wanted to scare him. None of it would have happened if he had used original standard products as requested.

Time they say is on no one’s side. So a friend decided to use this proverbs in building, I feel for him though. We both know how he had saved for this day, to have his own house, but my guy went ahead and hurriedly finished his house, a bungalow, though am not an engineer yet, i knew that the work was done haphazardly, rushed and completed. I was invited to the church for thanksgiving and testimony giving. He decided not to enter his house alone but with officially wedded wife, after the wedding, we were at the grand breaking ceremony, now i noticed something, how can a house that no one ever lived in cracking up already, there was a clear zig-zag line from the roof to the ground. So my friend, Gbenga entered his new house. At work the next day he was dozing off at work, i asked him, oboy how far na, why u dey sleep, he yawns and said, guy na my house oo, i no know wetin dey happen again, i have been patching, fixing, covering, my wife also giving me her own problem. Last night during the rain, i had to sit up because the only place the rain wasn’t leaking, my wife took it up, am tired, the bathroom wall is almost falling off, what did i do? I cracked up a laugh to cheer him up, and explained that his house was built on substandard materials. You really need to either pull it all down and build with quality materials of pack out, before we hear stories that touch. Gbenga, do you know about Emilinks, he said no, what’s that,? i was like, seriously, Emilinks equals quality, Do you have data? he nodded, give your phone, just go to emilinks.com or better still, ask bellanaija.com, even on social media, he is there, my guy now was like, so you knew about Emilinks all this while and you allowed me build my house on substandard rubbish materials, wetin be that their website again, and that was how my friend got saved, please try Emilinks product and start sleeping well at night, With Emilinks no cracking walls, no patching, no sleepless nights #MyDoorStory #Emilinks Day 29

    I want my own home
Its been my goal for each year neatly written in my goal book.
I have pictures of my fitted kitchen, my open plan living room and the monochrome black n white decor with a dad of yellow.
My mind smiles when I think of the huge his n hers closet in our bedroom. Or is it the twin cots for our twin babies in the children’s bedroom.
Lest I forget the vegetable garden I will have at the back of my home where I’ll simply pluck off what I need fresh for my kitchen. Then the gorgeous lawn in front of my home where I can recline on a deck chair and read a book or meditate.

Emilinks don’t just be part of #mydoorstory be part of #myhomestory.

When building your house, sustainability should be your watch word. Sustainability is a trendy word that is often tossed about, but the real definition may be lost in translation at times.

Merriam Webster dictionary refers to the meaning of sustainable as, being able to be used without being used up or destroyed; methods that do not completely use up or destroy natural resources; able to last for a very long time. Essentially, to sustain something is to keep it and make it last for future generations.

With this definition in mind, it is therefore very important that quality materials are used when building or purchasing your house. I know in some cases people rather prefer going for substandard materials because they are cheap forgetting what will become of that house in the long run or in the future. People often forget bad or substandard materials come cheap because they have low sustainability therefore they only last for a short period of time and cannot stomach damages that may arise as time goes on causing the house to be in a very terrible and unsafe state or in some cases causing it to collapse leading to a traumatising experience that overwhelms ones state of mind .

The damages that substandard materials cause are too numerous to be mentioned.
should we start from causing premature death or losing of priced processions or even the death of decades of achievements and hard work? it hurts me to the bone, when i see the results of using substandard materials while building a house because such pain and damage could have been be averted just by doing something very simple which is, using quality materials when building.

I strongly believe that if we all come together and build our houses with quality materials and products, it will help reduce the rate of premature or timely death, preserve our priced processions, achievements, and hard work and also it will help us store memories that can e kept for our generation unborn. Lets not forget it saves money in the long run.

Therefore when building your house, you should ask yourself certain questions so you don’t end up with a pile of regrets. So, ALWAYS use quality materials such as #Emiinks and its likes to build your house as #Emiinks is an insurance of sustainability I forever trust #Emilinks as Quality is their top Priority . #EMILINKS #MYDOORSTORY #DAY29

My dad is a building contractor and as the first son of the family, whenever he has a building project, I go with him to the site.My dad is known for been a man of principles and this he took into his job.He goes for the best when constructing a building. From the woods to the blocks to the mixture of the sand and cement(not using more SAND than the CEMENT to keep money in his pocket). There are a whole lot of gifts from his clients in the house showing appreciation for a work well done. The use of good building materials for the construction of a house cannot be overemphasized. The house remains for years, from generation to generation. Stories of collapsed buildings do not come from buildings that were built with quality materials but from those built with cheap materials.A house built with good materials feels like a safe haven and you are certain of protection when you have doors like EMILINKS in the house too even though we know God is the ultimate giver of protection. You want that house to be seen by your CHILDREN, GRANDCHILDREN, GREAT GRANDCHILDREN then use quality building materials and some of these can be gotten from Emilinks.Thank you Emilinks.

We all know that houses built with quality materials cannot be compared with those built with inferior materials. These materials may be more expensive but they are worth it because they help build secure houses. You don’t get to see cracked walls, leaking roofs, windows eaten by termites and the rest. And most importantly Emilinks produces furniture that gives a house further protection. Their doors are the best one can possibly get.If you want that house to be seen by more generations to come, use quality materials like those of Emilinks and you won’t regret it.Thank you Emilinks.

Seeing people being pulled out of that collapsed building in asokoro last week provoked fear and anger in me…..speaking to a personnel of the NEMA enhanced the anger I had in me…the personnel said to me “98% of of collapsed building in Nigeria is as a result of the inferior building materials that are used in the construction of houses and other buildings”…this made me angry because I don’t know why anyone would risk the life of other people just to make little profit….Seeing the injured and the dead made me realize the importance of using quality building materials because there might be no second chance….#day29 #emilinks #mydoorstory.

    EMILINKS #MYDOORSTORY #DAY29

During my infant days in Lagos, I witnessed a building collapse right in front of me.
To tag it as hellish would be an understatement.
I was scared to my bone marrow, while my heart momentarily stuck to my mouth. The building opposite that of mine was the one that thought it wise to collapse and destroy a lot of humans alongside it.

Why wouldn’t the building collapse? The building reeked of old age and begged for renovation or outright demolition.

Trust some Nigerians who would prefer the lives of their tenants to be sacrificed on the altar of greediness, instead of them to pull down their old houses or renovate them.

Immediately the house collapsed, sounds of wail filled the street. All we felt was sorrow and tears.

Parents were left without children, while some children instantly turned into orphans because of the carelessness of one man.

Years after, as a student of Uniport, I have witnessed a lot of buildings being erected from the foundation stage to the roofing level.

One thing that was common about the numerous building projects was that quality materials were used instead of some substandard and quack building materials.

Maybe that was made it stand out from other buildings that have collapsed.
Maybe that was why it was unheard of for any uniport structure to collapse.

Some unscrupulous contractors may go for substandard equipments to save cost, but there is a pertinent question that must be answered by those without scruples.

Are they lives of those who perished as a result of the negligence of the part of the contractors worth less than chickens?

Buy quality equipments from trusted brands like Emilinks, some won’t listen.
Use a brand that has been tested and trusted, yet some won’t listen.
The blood and tears of both the victims and the bereaved would continue to hunt those who ply the trade of substandard products.

    Agbo The Unrepentant Miser
Mr Agbo, also known as, Aka Chewing Gum, once lived in my neighbourhood and he was very popular. His other name had to do with the fact that he was an unrepentant miser. He was also an interesting character, and he was very argumentative. In fact, he always won every argument becoz he had a terrible bad breath and he always quoted a verse from the Bible to drive home his point. When asked why he lived in a mud house, he said, “our forefathers lived in mud houses”. He said Jesus didn’t live an extravagant life when he was asked why he chose to live a frugal existence. One time, he said God told Noah ( and by extension us) to multiply and fill the earth when he his brothers warned him not to have many children than he can afford to cater for. Mr. Agbo’s house, a house he inherited from his father, was crying for help. It was poorly built and in a state of disrepair. The only time he had the house renovated, he bought substandard building materials and employed the services of an amateur contractor. Not too long after, the house fell into disrepair again. When we drew his attention to this, he said: “my father and his father’s fathers lived in this house. My ancestors will protect my house.” His greed became the butt of very unkind jokes. He always said, ” why buy kerosene when you can use firewood? Why buy new clothes when you can buy Okrika? Why board a bus when you can trek?” One day, there was a thunderstorm and Agbo wasn’t around. His three wives and countless children crowded themselves into the ‘death trap’ they called a house. Unfortunately for Agbo, his ancestors, the protectors of his structurally weak house, were away on errand. A heavy thunder struck and Agbo’s house came crashing down. Not a single one of them survived. We couldn’t reach Agbo because he didn’t have a mobile phone; he said it was a waste of money. Later in the evening when he came back,we all narrated to him what transpired and that instant, Agbo ran mad. Till this day, he still roams the streets mad. Don’t be the butt of unkind jokes like Agbo. Buy quality products when building a house and fortify your building with Emilinks products.

#Day 29 I once witnessed a building collapse and I not only witnessed it. I was in the building. The building wasn’t just any building it was actually my grandpa’s house. The house was built from mud. Years after it was built, when my dad was still a boy, the mud surface was plastered with cement to modernise its look. On this day, we had gone to the village to visit grandpa and grandma, we had dinner and just as we were about to sleep in our room, we heard a loud cracking or should I say whistling sound and before we knew it, one side of the walls of our room was crumbling before our very eyes. Stones, sand, cement was falling all over, we all had to run for our dear lives, I ran so fast, as my legs could carry me. I had forgotten I had my family members with me, my instinct was just to save myself. I ran and ran away from the house, when I was safe, I discovered my face was wet, I touched it and discovered it was blood, I had a deep cut on my forehead and then I remembered, my mum, my dad, my sister, oh God, what is this? I walked back to the house and I saw my dad and some men from the village trying to pull someone out of the debris, my mum was crying at the side and was been pacified by some women, her face brightened up when she saw me and then she told me my little sister was trapped, my sister was later rescued and on the way to the hospital, she gave up the ghost. This has left an indelible mark on my family and with the scar on my forehead, I simply cannot forget. My father later had the whole building pulled down and rebuilt it with quality materials in memory of my dear sister. This is for you, sis, love and miss you so much. I believe when you read this from up there. You will surely smile. I miss your smile and I just imagined it in my head. Please stop patronizing marketers of substandard materials. #MyDoorStory #Emilinks

    #EMILINKS #MYDOORSTORY #DAY29

Lives, many lives, would have been saved, many humans won’t be dead, decaying under the ground if quality building materials had been used to build those collapsed buildings.
Imagine you are waiting at home, elated that your loved one would soon walk through the door, and give you a light kiss on your lips, but that expectation gets shattered when you find out that your loved one had died in a building wreckage.
Imagine the sorrow, the tears, the feeling of despair that would engulf such a soul.
That’s what a lot of humans have faced because those in charge of building a structure decided to opt for poor instruments instead of instruments produced by #EMILINKS.

The dreams that have been shattered, the stars that have been buried, the loved ones that have left the land of the living because of carelessness on the part of contractors.

Imagine how many geniuses have had their heads crushed when a building collapsed. Imagine how many unborn kids have perished with their mothers. Imagine how many talented musicians like Beethoven has left the world to join their ancestors because substandard products were used.
Imagine how many lives could have been saved assuming #EMILINKS products had been used.
Imagine how we have failed those who died when buildings collapse.

Imagine the tear drops that have left the eyes of those they left behind. Just imagine.

I grew up in a family, where the head of the family was an expert in carpentry and woodwork. There was this pride that oozed out of his pores whenever the topic of woodwork was brought up.

I learnt about one or two things about woodwork and building an edifice from him. Not minding the fact that I was a member of the softer sex, I loved tagging along whenever my dad was about to go and roof any house.
There was this passion for anything that had to do with building that steered in me. Maybe it was not farfetched from the fact that my dad was in the field.

Time had taught me that my dad was a man who hated using substandard materials in any of his work. He felt that it would tarnish his image in the field, and would make the small carpentry business that he fed his family from crash.

I remembered an incident years back, when a young man, who has just walked into money, thought it wise to erect a building of gigantic size in his village.
He had heard of my dad, and decided to relegate the roofing to him. The man’s brother, who went by the name, Mazi was the Foreman of the building.

Instead of using the money his brother sent to him for the roofing, he wanted to save a large part in his pocket, and use the remaining part to do a kid’s job of roofing.

My dad vehemently refused when Mazi kept pressurizing him to use substandard materials in roofing the house, and fixing the doors.

Imagine if the roof started leaking immediately it was fixed, the blame would fall entirely on my dad.
Imagine if the doors fell off their hinges, my dad would be blamed.
Instead of going for weak materials, use trusted brands like #EMILINKS.

A lot of lives have been lost because of such carelessness. Say no to substandard materials.

Emilinks! Emilinks!! Emilinks!!! The Nigerian youths will not forget that name easily because it has really brought so much to light.
It has unveiled the creative potentials hidden in many youths. It has also emphatically helped Nigerians to understand the value and importance of using standard building materials, while warning against the use of substandard materials through the adverse effects of substandard building materials, as highlighted through the thousands of comments and stories written by creative Nigerian youths.
Emilinks has also supported the Nigerian youths financially to some extent, even in this hard times.
    Indeed, Emilinks is an eye-opener!
Though I haven’t won despite my several attempts, but, I must say, I have benefited so so much. How I wish other companies which produces quality products at affordable prizes will emulate Emilinks in this regard.
As far as I am concerned, Emilinks is the best!!! I will continue to sing praises to Emilinks .

My Mum divorced Dad because of substandard materials(doors and iron-sheet) my Dad Refused to change in our Home. Whenever Rain falls, our rooms would be full of Water. And my Mum had been informing him long Time ago but Dad always says “I will do it, don’t Worry”. Until she packed out of the house.

After 1week my Dad bought Emilinks Doors and fitted it in our house and he also changed the iron sheets.
The next Day,my sister called Mum on phone and told her Dad had bought Emilinks Doors and he had fitted it, also iron sheets.

She was excited a little bit because she hadn’t seen it.

She decided to visit our home, getting there, she(Mum) couldn’t believe what she saw, she gave dad a pleasant hug and kissing. Since then up till now, we’re living a happy Home.

Then I knew the importance of building houses with quality materials,it brings Unity, Love, Peace and Rest of Mind.

With what I’ve experienced,I noticed whenever I’m old enough to build my own house,I should go for Emilinks doors because it last Long than Any other doors I’ve seen, secured, create peace and unity. And all other Quality Materials.

    #EMILINKS #MYDOORSTORY #DAY29
Not everyone was born with a silver spoon, some were born with Diamond ones, while the rest had to manage with the wooden spoons. I belonged to those who had to manage the wooden spoon life had doled out to us.

I struggled through life, carrying one pan of mixed cement from one building to another. Life was hellish for me.
My labourer’s experience really helped me to know a lot about substandard materials and the havoc they have wrecked on many humans.

Using substandard materials while building a house could be likened to drinking adulterated drugs when ill. What would be the outcome?

Nothing good would surely come out of the venture. Just as the drugs might end up killing some humans, a building erected with fake building materials would end up collapsing on the tenants’ heads.

The difference between the prices of those fake brands, and brands who knew their onion, like Emilinks might not even be much.
But some contractors would prefer to watch humans give up the ghost than patronize good brands like Emilinks.

A case to buttress this fact happened not quite long. As a writer, I had a laptop, where I took down my work. In the apartment I lived in back then, had a weak door.
I might have been at fault for agreeing to move into such a house with such door, but my lack of finances also added its own part.

I came back one morning from night class to find my door wide open, and my laptop where my life work was, had gone missing.

No words could paint the sorrow I felt.
Assuming the door was one manufactured by Emilinks, the laptop would have been with me, right now.
Save yourself a lot of stress by using Emilinks.

2014 was the year, we had only lived in this house for like 5 months, like you know how fresh everything usually is, the paint, the mirrors, doors, everything was just lush and on point, Dad had spent a good amount of money paying the vendors who carried out the furnishing of the house, this was our very first house, finally our own house, our joy knew no bound. I for one i’m very particular about my room, cause for me its kind of like my own little sanctuary. Now on first sighting, the room looked really nice to me, and I loved everything and absolutely couldn’t wait to put in my stuff and upload pictures online for my friends to see. Now on this particular day I was taking a picture before church as we were about to leave for church and BOOM! the wardrobe door comes crashing alongside the mirror on it; like till this day I absolutely cant believe it, for heaven’s sake everything in this house was new. Dad was devastated, for the first time ever in my life, I witnessed firsthand how catastrophic Inferior goods can be. A colleague of my dad’s at work suggested we try the Nigerian Brand door #Emilinks ( my first time hearing that), after much persistence, my dad who is usually skeptical about Nigerian Brands however went ahead and replaced our wardrobe with #Emilinks. it has been 2 yrs of this wonderful journey with #Emilinks and I have absolutely no regrets, like looking at it everyday just gives me so much joy.
Thank God Dad currently plans on changing all the doors in the house to #Emilinks some tome next year, of course on my insistence.
Thank You #Emilinks for defying all odds and producing real quality doors and furniture, may you continue to soar higher. Oshe oooo!!!!!!

#Day29 I am always proud to show off our house because it was built with quality materials and also very beautiful. Before my dad built our house, we were living in a public yard where everybody shares the same bathroom, toilet and even kitchen and many a times we end up going to the hospital 3 to 4 times in a month either to treat ourselves of toilet infection or malaria arising from the mosquito bits because there were no mosquitoes nets in all the windows and the doors were half eaten by termites. We continued suffering in that compound until one day when my younger brother returned from school and went to the bathroom to take his bath only for bathroom wall to fell down and trapped my brother in there. It the timely intervention of one of our neighbors who raised an alarm immediately that saved my brother’s life and after that deadly incident, my dad then decided to develop a piece of land he bought years ago in other to give his family the comfort, security, privacy and good living that we deserve and he immediately built our house with the best building materials from Emilinks and since then, we have been secured and living happily ever after. #MyDoorStory #Emilinks

Forget the fact that I am a competitor, there is something about Emilinks that make me smile. The fact that Emilinks decided to remember we, writers touched me a lot. Most firms focus on only musicians, dancers and rappers, forgetting that writers have skills to project to the main world. For doing this, you have won my respect.
Back to the main discourse at hand.

This topic of substandard products can’t be over flogged. If we are not tackling the death of people from using fake drugs, it would be the issue of people dying because their tyres were fake.
If it’s not the issue of being poisoned by adulterated food items, it’s the case of house items destroying very easily.
As long as human society continue to exist, there will still exist alongside some unscrupulous humans in the form of some contractors. What we can do is to reduce it to the barest minimum.
There was a time that it was cliche and common place for houses in Lagos to collapse. That was the epoch before Fashola stepped in and decided to revamp the system.

The only advantage of using fake materials might be that you have saved a little change. Ask yourself if the lives of those you intend to put in harm’s way is worth it.

There are a lot of disadvantages of using fake building materials, instead of patronizing trustworthy companies like Emilinks and Co.
The most important of all disadvantages is the loss of lives and properties.
Nigerians have died from the negligence of building contractors and building owners. Sometimes, I sit down and wonder if there is still an iota of conscience left in their soul.
Some kids have been plunged into the abyss of poverty because their parents had died during building collapse. Some parents have gone into permanent depression because their kids have died in likewise manner.

Before we, as humans think of patronizing substandard products distributors, we should think of the families that would be ruined in the process.
You should ponder of the kids that would be forced into hawking, prostitution and armed robbery to survive because of the death of their parents.

Everything is not about money. We should still have a bit of compassion in us. #EMILINKS #MYDOORSTORY #DAY29

Looking at my school building, the thought of collapse secondary and primary schools scares me a lot, Before the renovations kicked in during Gov.

#Emilnks #Bellanaija #Day29,#mydoorstory

Growing up in the village is usually associated with alienation from the real world. I had the opportunity of travelling once in a while. Before i ever travelled i always thought that my dad’s house was the best and i always thought the materials used was of standard not until i visited my uncle in Port Harcourt.
The house was sparkling not because it was made of glass but because the materials used was simply the best. The doors weren’t made of glass but you could see ur full reflection clearly. You could keep stuff in the wardrobe and be assured that no thief can crack it and also the kitchen was another world entirely i could sleep there because of its beauty.
I asked my uncle which country he imported the materials he used in the building from? What he said surprised me. He said “son, non of what you see here in this house was imported”. i was shocked. He said the material used were made to perfection and its from a notable merchant here in Nigeria. At this point i was curious to know this company. Then he said Emilinks Nigeria Limited.
From then i knew and i was convinced that emilinks is the best among the rest. Emilinks delivers quality you can’t get anywhere else not even if it is imported.

Nobody never expected it, We gathered in my Aunty’s house all having fun. My Aunty and her family just moved in so it more like a house warming and family re union. Everything was going as planned, intact we had no light issue. So the DJ kept on giving us jams.

Since it was a new environment, we had no neighbor complaining except the labourers working on the new site beside her compound, We went over to invite them for dinner. Immediately they got into our place. There’s this heavy crackdown, everyone trooped outside to check what is going on.
Luckily for the labourers it was the site they were working on collapsing. I was mute for a long time, cos I never expected what I just saw.
Later on, we heard that the building materials used are mostly substandard and couldn’t hold on with the sound waves by the speaker used by the DJ. This made me more conscious and whatever is worth doing is worth doing well, Emilinks is living proof that will do have quality and original building product in our country.

My story goes this, according to Karl Marx ” the more the powerful of means of labour ( instrument like modern machine than more of human impact to his object of labour ( i.e the ability to acquire best materials things natural environment give) it’s obvious that building this building was collectively plan by group of architect which it very unique and previous in my on sight it it was building in 1960s with the best materials like cement brick and thick iron rod how I wish we can still continue to built the pattern. I was amazing when I first sight it because it was single handily built on just 24 pillar with packing space throughout at the floor, and combination of four storey building on just pillar, vow is so amazing and very creative which make it a point of reference to all. I come concluded by saying that by money almost everything is possible. @bellanaija @EmilinksNG #Mydoorstory #Emilinks #emilinksmydoorstory

They say “if knowledge is expensive, try ignorance”. Ignorance led my former neighbour back to his humble beginnings. Ohh! Hw Mr. Kofo – my neighbour loved QUANTITY and he doesn’t care about QUALITY things unlike his friend Mr.Wale who wouldn’t go anything less than QUALITY .
Unfortunately for Mr.Kofo he had to sell d house cost the cost of repairing was becoming unbearable.
So get QUALITY building materials, get #Emilinks furniture and get Peace of Mind.

Heading back from work on a hot friday afternoon, sweat dripping down from my head to my eyebrows,I hesitate to wipe it off because I’m too busy trying to head out of the office to make sure I catch a B.R.T home, its a 1hr drive from work to the next bus stop home, even less on any other Day but this one;I grab all I can, and dash out,a colleague waves at me,no time to wave back so I smile to substitute instead,I get to the bus stop,Board a B.R.T, and I take a seat close to the window,I love watching the city go by especially when we take the long 3rdmainland bridge,as we get to the end of the bridge and some passengers drop off, then more passengers board on,the B.R.T starts to slow down, there’s a go slow up ahead and then on the other side of the road,a mass of people gather up,I hear sirens,I then decide to satisfy my curiosity by coming down from the Bus,but a senior citizen tells me to just sit in the bus and stay calm, there’s a fire rising,it lights up the night sky, there’s talk from all angles,I manage to pick one up saying the building collapsed hours ago,and they’re survivors in there,an emergency response team, carry a little girl not more than 4-5 years old screaming in pain, her leg has a gash;bone sticking out,and blood spilling out of it,the police on site try to keep the public from pushing their way into the crisis area;suddenly the radio gets turned up,there’s a breaking news bout a collapse building along Anthony Road, which has blocked traffic, and the mayhem has caught the attention of the Police,Fire department, and state Paramedics ;anyone coming through the 3rd mainland bridge should find possible means to avoid the roadblock, the report further states that its difficult to ascertain the cause of the building collapsing;but on site witnesses calm the build had substandard materials used for construction ,while others state the building has been jinx for years, more investigation will be carried out,in due time. the B.R.T gets rowdy with all sort of foul talk,I’m just to messed up in my head to think straight,I can’t get the picture of that little girl out of my mind, then I see a pregnant woman, probably aged earlier 30’s,her belly crushed as fire fighters, lift several blocks of concert of her,the Guy in front of me pucks through the window of the B.R.T.,
I run my fingers through my Head to get a grip of myself, and then I just stare around for something, anything to distract me;I notice a buzz in my trouser pocket;I take my phone out,8 missed calls,6 from my wife;I call her back and when she picks she complaining bout where I am,and she’s all nervous I haven’t called her back,I’m too shock by the images all processing in my head to respond or say anything, then something caught my eye,I see an Ad on the Side of Another B.R.T not to far from us,its difficult to make it out at first, but then its gets clearer;Emilinks, and its wide range of quality products”,I speak to my wife that I’ll be home soon, just a little hold up;I’ve learnt over the years not to discuss such situations in such an open environment, which can breed panic, hours later the road gets cleared,I eventually get home, its too late to even check the time,so I don’t bother;my wife is sleeping on the couch;when she hears the doors unlock, she’s gets up and hugs me;I tell her my bout my experience coming home,I’m just too tired to head into the bedroom,I seat down;and drop my wallet on the center table,I notice a flyer on the table as well;Emilinks;it reads;”Emilinks we deal in manufacturing quality furnitures, and structure for sustainable world class buildings @ affordable prices, deliveries made to any part of Nigeria with 4-6day”etc,then it hits me Emilinks, that’s the name of the Ad i saw on the side of the B.R.T.
I wonder if only they considered quality over quantity;if only…Emilinks,I keep repeating the name as I walk into the bedroom turn off the lights and fall asleeps…Emilinks.

Everytime i remember this experience, it brings tears to my eyes. I can’t stop crying. Some few weeks back i and my best friend tunde went home after rehearsals.Tunde lives next to my house away from mine, this fateful day rain fell and it was heavy as usual everyone hid in their houses, little did he know he was hiding in the shadows of death, suddenly i heard a loud noise gbam, was that a bomb, everyone rushed out to see what happened.lo and behold, tunde’s house had collapsed.I was shocked,i almost ran mad.people shouted as everyone ran towards the house,no one even cared about the rain again.4 people died that day including tunde and his mum.It was a big loss to the community, only his dad and younger sister survived.Their wicked landlord used substandard materials to build the house, just to save cost and it cost 4 people’s lives,it was not worth it at all. When he was building the house, the contractor warned him to use quality, but he did not bulge because he wanted to save money. My family was lucky we built our house with standard and quality materials 20yrs ago. we used #emilinks.Part of the building collapsed on our own house but it did not affect it,#emilinks got us covered
A lot of people tend to compromise when it comes to building houses, they just mix the cement wrongly and use poor materials.Organisations in charge of housing and standard practises should take note.#emilinks has taken a stand to use quality, its time others did sameThis will reduce the incidence of collapse, domestic accidents, theft, poor hygiene and so many other things. We all need to work together and fight substandard materials to ensure our safety because we never can tell when the worst will happen. But with quality materials such as #emilinks you are sure you and your family are safe and secure.
People that build houses should consider the following:-
    1) Use quality materials
    2) mix cement at the right proportion
    3) Do a good foundation
    4) Don’t patch electrical appliances
    5) Fix the roof according to standard operations.

“Ayomide, Iremide, common enter the car you are late for school”. ‘Mummy you’ve passed Jason’s house’. She quickly made a u-turn and picked up Jason, who is in the same class with the twin. And so, Mrs Mark dropped the children at school and zoomed off to work.

It was 3:30pm, the alarm bell from her phone reminded her it was time to pick up the children from school. Hurriedly, she abandoned what she was doing on the computer, picked her phone and handbag and ran to the car. Oh my God, she thought, “hope I’ll make it on time, the school is some distance from the office” she murmured.

“Please officer, forgive me for beating the traffic light, am late to pick up my 4 year old twins, they are all we’ve got, and it took us 8 years to have them. My husband will not forgive me if anything happens to them. Please officer is way passed their closing time. I have to pick up my twins”. She was cautioned and was advised to drive safely.
Is there a cultural display at the school today she thought? All she can see are; a large crowd- lots of people jumping and falling on the ground- Ambulance- Fire service- Police & Civil defense- Drilling machine- First aid boxes- (Emergency dispatch team she thought… was there a fight?). THE SCHOOL BUILDING IS GONE! she just realised, “Where is the school building?” She screamed. ‘Madam, the school building collapsed this morning and the children and their teachers have been buried alive for over 4 hours now, are your children in this school?’ “Nooooo” she shouted, “my twins! this cannot be real! the school building cannot collapse! Ayomide! Iremide!! Ayomide!!!!!!!!
This is just one of the many gory tales of building collapse, going by the frequency that have become common in our society today, it is highly important that those who want to build their own houses either for personal or business purposes should be sure that they are using quality building materials throughout the process.

The first step you should take to ensure that you contractor or builder uses high-quality material is to do some research. Make sure that your contractor and their team has extensive experience in constructing the type of home you’re looking to build. Ask if you can visit some completed projects and get a feel for the quality of materials and workmanship used in those homes.

Using quality building materials whether or not they are green certified or energy efficient is essential for your long term investment and safety. There are many green products on the market today that are both beautiful and functional. Many green products that are environmentally friendly are also energy efficient in your home making your initial investment pay off in the long term.

For building materials like Doors and Windows, it is especially important to choose a high quality product like Emilinks. You know Windows stream in ultraviolet light into your home, which can fade flooring and furniture. By choosing an energy efficient window, you can block out some of the harmful rays and at the same time, the quality of the windows will help reduce heat loss in the winter and keep in cooler air in the summer.
The wood used in the framing of your new infill home and doors is another important consideration. Using properly treated wood products such as BluWood can prevent fungus, mold and wood ingesting pest infestations. That is why I would always recommend Emilinks product. They are the number ONE company to reach out to when in need of superior quality mentioned above. You know when you use Emilinks, not only are you using a superior building material, but you are also protecting your health and safety.

    Day 29
That night everyone went to bed sad. My dad had earlier received a call that his building collapsed suddenly. The next morning we all went to the building site and saw it in ruins. An investigation was carried out and it turned out that the building collapsed as a result of poor building materials. My dad felt heart broken and betrayed because he had already given the contractor the amount of money needed to buy good equipment and the contract bought cheap poor ones instead. The contractor was arrested for fraud. But my dad also thanked God anyway because no life was lost. When building, always make sure to get the best materials because bad buildings may collapse and kill people. #MyDoorStory #Emilinks‎

When it comes to property products, most of us are interested in the completed building than being involved in the time consuming construction process itself.we don’t realise the importance of choosing quality building materials until an unwanted incident happens. The collapse of a four storey building dat occurred a few days ago in maitama Abuja is one example of not building with the right quality materials according to a particular area or terrain. Our homes are the place where we sometimes find to our disappointment and expense that poor construction materials do not meet expectations. Subsequently, many Nigerians have lost their lives and properties due to the poor materials used in the construction of their homes.”I am disappointed with the contractor because only two years after the construction of my house was completed, there are several cracks on the wall, with the position of the wall a bit slanted” says a father of two who prefers to remain anonymous..another illustration is about a man named Benson ovie who is often engaged in construction projects, once noticed that the roof of a newly built concrete balcony slanted inwards because the selected concrete iron building structures were irresponsibly replaced with low quality materials. In conclusion, we can see that using the right quality building materials or components is very important for the sake of the duration of a building even though they might cost more compared to second or third class materials.its better to spend more money by choosing the right building materials that are costlier compared to choosing cheaper ones which is more risky.Today, their are many building materials in a range of models and prices in the market. A rule of thumb in choosing quality building materials is choosing EMILINKS!

What use is beauty without comfort and durability? In the past, our society has been affected by substandard building materials, a wise man once told me that a city is only as beautiful as its buildings but today I tell u,a city is only as strong as its buildings. Let’s take for instance the early century when when a city only depend on the strength of its walls for its defence. The stronger the walls, the stronger and safer the city and its inhabitants. These walls are so strong only because of standard and quality materials used for its construction. In our society today, substandard building materials have led to the collapse of many buildings. In a society where the common believe is that only the rich can afford standard building materials, the CEO emilinks,in a famous and patriotic campaign to eliminate substandard and fake building materials, has helped in all most total elimination of substandard and fake materials from our markets, and he also made materials such as doors, wardrobes, furniture and all sorts of finishings very affordable for everyone. In his magnanimity and patriotism,he slashing the prices of this materials so all can enjoy comfort, strength, beauty and durability. Emilinks has made the dream of owning a comfortable and durable homes by average Nigerians possible. God bless emilinks. God bless Nigeria. Day 29 #emilinks #mydoorstory

What just happened? That is exactly the question I asked on the most annoying day of august. This how it started: I running late for my exam,in absolute hurry I slammed my door and ran off to school. I got to the venue 30 minutes late and so I couldn’t finish before submission. I was so furious, I didn’t even wait for my friends, I just went home straight. Like that wasn’t enough, the bike I was on crashed into a gutter along d road,my arm and knee was badly bruised. The bruises where painful but that didn’t bother me as much as the dirty water I was soaked in. I was so embarrassed, with tail between my legs,I went home. I couldn’t wait to get home so I can my bath, eat, treat my wounds and then get a good rest. Well,I didn’t know the worst was yet to happen. When I got home, with so much eagerness to get into my room,I brought out my keys from my little side bag, slide in to unlock my door but my door refused to open. For more than 30 minutes I was patiently trying to open my door but all my effort bore no success. I tried till I couldn’t stop myself from screaming out loud,”I hate fake doors”. After hours of anger and depression, I sought after a professional door installer to help me out,he told me an inferior door was installed, which was why my lock was spoiled. I ended up staying outside all afternoon till evening with wounds, hunger and sadness. If only my door was of the emilinks brand,I sure would have suffered. Use emilinks,be happy. On the eve of my birthday last year, i received an sms from my mum. I was even thinking it was a pre-birthday wish or an alert (for my day), but got shocked when it was a notification that my elder sibling’s just newly built a storeyed building collapsed. I quickly rang my mother; she bitterly stated that upon all agreements reached with the contractor, he opted not buying the fittings/fixtures from #Emilinks and equally used sub-standard building materials.

That was strange, thus i quickly got the site and tearfully confimed the worrisome scene. My brother equally arrived from Lagos and we summoned the contractor who on interrogation confessed channeling the funds provided to sort a bank’s bad loan and opting using less quality building materials and not even going for the #Emilinks brand (when he was even advised to do so). He was charged to court and jailed.

Based on lessons learned on both parties, much emphasis should be placed on the use of #Emilinks and quality/standard building materials. Emilinks is an affordable, quality and good brand – doors, windows, kitchen wares etc.

    WHERE MY DOOR.
They say a stitch in time saves nine. With this raining season where its always raining cats and dogs. I call my door IGWE. A door that needs me carrying it before locks properly. I have become talk of the compound about the dude always carrying the door. I told them the door is my IGWE #unmovable. I talked to the landlady about the repairs but she seem not interested only interested in her rents. My compound people have been advising me to repair the door because they don’t think it will hold during this raining season. I have stubbornly refuse insisting am not suppose to do the repairs since it not house and telling them that infact the door is unmovable. They said the day heavy winds comes I know who get level PASS. Last Sunday after dressing like a fine boy as always, I went to church . During the church service it started to rain heavy and windy my attention started to drift away from the preaher because the wind was just too much it removed one of roofing sheet. That is when it dawned on me that my door will not hold this wind Ooo. I wasn’t comfortable no more. The preacher was on his own. I started praying instead of listening to the sermon. When I got home I couldn’t thinks no more. All I said was WHERE MY DOOR because it wasn’t on the post. I am finish. O my God. My friend showed me a door on the roof of the building. My room wet,my cloths, furniture wet. No prayer will work here. My neighbours started to jeer me. I wouldn’t blame them. I thought prayer will do this one. I blame my stingy landlady who has refused to buy Emilinks door. There is God o cos if I had listened I have not be in this dilemma.

Houses are in categories. Not all houses are the same. This is not a matter of size. It is a matter of quality. A house might be big but lacks the qualities that makes it a mansion and not all so called mansions has the right materials that makes it what it is. Anyone who thinks a house is a house irrespective of the quality materials has probably not heard about emilinks.

Day 29 so talking about sub-standard products always reminds me of am incident that happened back in school. So our Vice chancellor contracted one ENGINEER JOHNSON to help with the laboratory building project.
Our VC been a very busy man couldn’t make out time to monitor the project, Engr. Johnson went ahead to use sub-standard building materials to build the laboratory. On completion, during the opening ceremony of the building it collapsed right before the VC even arrived,(We thank God no life was lost only minor injuries).
Today the so called engineer Johnson is serving a life sentence.
You see quality products does not only give you (the builder) rest of mind but also to the society at large. It would also save you the cost of continuous maintenance.

Making reference to culture, most building patterns, design and architectural works denotes some part of a community’s culture.. Using quality materials help to make that building last long thereby preserving the culture in some way and passing it to the next generations

However, so many people in our society today have had regrets in erecting a structure with substandard materials while some are happy for buying quality and affordable materials from emilinks
A building erected with quality materials are long lasting unlike buildings erected with substandard material. This remind me of the twin brothers (ODION AND AKHERE) who were determined to have their own houses, the elder twin (Odion) driven by jealousy never wanted his younger brother(Akhere) to achieve this goal before him, he bought substandard materials with the little money he had after purchasing the land. Akhere on the other hand took his time to make preparations consulting EMILINK on types of doors and funiture to be used on his house. In due time both completed their houses. on the day of the house opening odion building collapsed due to substandard material used.. killing some of his guest and his first son Osas. this event did not only bring him losts but was a disaster to the community at large. Till today Odion regrets using substandard materials in building his house and choose to consult emilinks for his finishing and furnishing products like beds, doors, kitchen, dininng sets wardrope etc.

My late father would always say to me that a wise man builds his house upon a rock, but a foolish man builds his house on a sand!
If u are wise, u would use high quality materials from good and reliable company like #emilinks, but if ure unwise (foolish) so to speak, u’ll go for cheap and substandard building materials which of course would do no good both to u d buyer, d builder and the occupant of that building. Whatever is worth doing is worth doing well! Don’t do penny wise and pound foolish in a bid to cut cost. I think d price to pay for quality building materials can’t be compared to d joy and peace u get from its durability and safety.

#Emilink #mydoorstory. Who of you wanting to build a tower does not first sit down and calculate the expenses to see if he has enough to complete it? Otherwise he might lay its foundation but not be able to finish it and all the onlookers would start to ridicule him, saying; this man started to build but was not able to finish.( luke 14:28-30). Because of corruption many people don’t follow this principle they prefer to start a building but in other to finish it fast they build with substandard material. Many contractors loose there contract because of issues like this but they forget that A man skilful at his wk will stand before kings, he will not stand before common men( proverb 22:29). Building with standard material will draw a contractor closer to more bigger contracts. Go for emilinks products and see yourself standing before kings for more contracts.

From Oyo to Akwa Ibom, Kaduna to Lagos, Abuja to Edo and from Lake Chad to Sokoto, the importance of building houses with quality materials and not substandard materials in homes and society cannot be overemphasized. Houses built with substandard materials will not stand the test of times. Statistics has it that, 5 out of every 1000 houses collapse every day in Nigeria and 70% of the collapsed building is caused by the use of substandard materials in construction of the building. Foreign observers have also proposed that the number of collapsed buildings in Nigeria will double in the next 5 years.
Furthermore, apart from death as a result of Road Traffic accidents and diseases like Malaria, Diabetes and Hypertension, Death of persons due to collapse of buildings has increased dramatically.

We have seen and read of how a family was wiped out because of the collapse of a building constructed with substandard material. We can’t afford to live our lives by chance. That is why Emilinks is here. A touch of Emilinks on a building guarantees it’s safety because if it is substandard, then Emilinks name cannot be on it.

A bad building can lead to the following :
1)I once heard of this man who was building a house and decided to use poor materials instead of Emilinks. It all ended when the house collapsed during construction and killed two of his laborers. In order to save his life, he had to use his life savings as compensation for both families. In summary, a building that is built with poor materials is dangerous and will never last
2)In our former house. The building where substandard, whenever it was raining, water would absolve into the wall because the blocks were of poor standard. We never had peace whenever it was raining. Either the roof was licking, or water was passing through the wall. In summary a bad building does not assure you real shelter or safety.
3)Lastly a substandard building never last.My uncles house didn’t stay up to two years before the paint used to paint the house started wearing off. In summary a substandard building is not durable, and never lasts.

I remembered vividly the nature of our former rented family house and can categorically state that “houses built with sub-standard materials and less quality household fittings & fixtures, makes one’s home & entire household miserable”. From external (outside view probably because of the attractive painting, the structure really looks okay and I felt that must have lured my father to go ahead and rent. Meanwhile, we were the very first occupants, thus the worrisome experiences – I, my parents and siblings had, was uncalled for and incredible. The doors were really so bad and of low quality thus the edges were so rough & do tear our clothes. Do you know my Mum after preparing to get to the villa for the yearly August meeting , stepped out of her room, got caught by the rough edge of the bad door and her costly original ABADA badly torn. She wept so bitterly. The railing used for corridor rails, the metal door, kitchen sink and bath tubs all of a sudden became rusty and started disintegrating in particles. My parents warned and barred us from playing at the corridor for fear and risk of leaning against the railings, it breaks and we fall off. The fitted wardrobes were even homes to huge cockroaches, ants etc.
Since virtually most fittings were of less quality, we encountered massive rodents’ visits (rats). We kept doing structure repairs every now and then. At a point the walls started getting water-drained and this poses risk as per structural problem as regards the quality of the roofing and materials. Though our rent was for couple of years but just after ten months, my dad smartly notified the house owner that he was to soon embark on a job related inter-city transfer thus we are likely to vacate shortly; he got back a year rent refund.
When he took me along to examine the new house, I was just taking my time in examining the entire house and closets, fittings and fixture ( the doors, metal railings, tubs, wardrobe, already fitted kitchen wares), when the landlord stepped up to us and said “not to worry my people, those doors, wardrobes and virtually the entire fittings, fixtures and wares” were from #EMILINKS…He winks and stated I am a correct landlord. They were all looking superb and of great quality. We felt so satisfied, moved in and hard a very happy home experience and never encountered qualms at all over years. Equally mum stated that a former neighbour she met at the market equally told her that they’ve packed out from the former house.
Till today including we including co-tenants do call the owner “oga correct landlord” and was just proudly because of his patronage of #EMILINKS brand and using quality materials in its entirely. This is our sixth year in the safe and enjoyable new house; my father’s personal house which is almost nearing completion is equally fully equipped with the #EMILINKS brand. He used to joke and tell us “who no like better thing joor…biko, I no want wahala (ie as per the very former house worrisome experiences) and I equally have in mind that in future once I’m fully established – #Emilinks all the way!!!

    #Emilinks #MyDoorStory (Day 30)
Almost a week to two years (September 12th , 2014 ) today, the nation was thrown into an unfortunate black Friday as a total of 115 lives were lost when a guesthouse located within the SCOAN (Synagogue Church Of All Nations) premises around Ikotun-Egbe area of Lagos State collapsed completely to the ground. After thorough investigations, several government agencies attributed this to STRUCTURAL FAILURE ranging from :

Failure to introduce rigid zones for bracing the structure and the frames were not designed as an unbraced structure.

Failure to provide movement joints that could have absorbed any movement due to creep, contraction, expansion and differential settlement etc..

The ground floor columns were slender and readily gave in to buckling.

And to think that i was at that location the previous Sunday, admiring the beauty of the SCOAN building, not knowing the foundation wasn’t sturdy. “It is not the beauty of a building you should look at, but the construction of the foundation that will stand the test of time”…………..
It is high time we make a conscious effort to ensure the proper usage of original building materials, finishing and furnishing products which are the quality brands of Emilinks Nigeria
