1) Justice Ogbemudia – Thief oooo, thief oooo was the sound that woke me up from my siesta on a faithful Friday afternoon.
Mrs Aduke has just returned from market and her children were away in school. she put down her goods and brought out the keys that opens the padlock to the front door. To her surprise, it was open, she thought to herseld,”I am so sure i locked this door before i left this morning for the market or maybe these children are back from school”. As she got into her room, she put on the light and her room was almost empty with the mattress turned upside down; then it dawn on her that her house has been burgled. She tried open other doors. it was of no use as all the locks were broken. Immediately she screamed “Am finished”. Of course the burglars really finished her. they left nothing. All she had left was the clothes she wore to the market. As people gathered, they noticed that the burglars came in through the ceiling at the back of the house and they left through the window by creating a space through the burglary proof with a metal object they found inside the house. Mrs Aduke had to mourn for weeks as if someone died. She was indoors for quite a long time until she was able to have at least two changes of clothes. What pained her most was that, she was just a tenant in the house. she had to suffer the consequences of using substandard materials in the house she lived. Tenants and house owners go for a house with quality materials for the safety of lives and properties. go for a house built with emilinks products and you can sleep with your two eyes closed.

There’s a saying that goes, anything worth doing is worth doing well… My friend and I both got loans from a microfinance bank for building. We agreed to build 4 bungalows each with the money gotten, then pay pack over the period of three years. My friend came to my office one day so happy, she told me dat she met a contractor who told her he could used the money and build 7 bungalows instead of the 4 bungalows we agreed… She said he told her there is a place in contonu where building materials are gotten at a very low price. I tried as a friend to talk her out of it but to no avail! She continued wit her 7 bungalows plan while I continued with my 4 bungalows… It’s been 5years now, I have been able to pay back the loan and I’m still enjoying my property. Sadly my friend has a different story entirely, she hasn’t been able to pay back her loan and she barely has tenants because abt 2years ago, the septic tank of one of the bungalows broke and a 1yr old baby fell in and died! Since then, tenants are always running away frm the compound! I can give this testimony because I used quality and standard materials from Emilinks. It is better to go for the best and have peace than use Substandard materials and be restless. Use Emilinks. Emilinks is tested and trusted!

5) Ibidun D. – The earth shook that i thought it was the end of the world.
So i lived in the northern part of Nigeria, last year we received a bomb threat in my town targeting a shopping mall, We living close to this mall started living in fear. A month had passed by and nothing happened,we had all forgotten the threat and living life to the fullest as usual.
Suddenly, on this ill fated day i couldnt even remember what i was doing when i heard a loud noise, “the earth shook that i thought it was the end of the world”, everything in the house was scattered by the tremor. I stood up and looked outside and alas! An explosion had occurred at the targeted mall.
As a result of the tremor caused by the explosion houses in the vicinity began to fall. But surprisingly ours didn’t, it was then i remembered that my husband made sure he got the best quality product out there when building our house even the paint used in painting it is fire proof.
So when most building fell due to the tremor ours stood still thanks to quality materials. If my husband hadn’t use quality materials that day would have been a double shock and i wouldn’t have been able to handle it. Use quality for safety and peace of mind. #Emilinks #mydoorstory

6) Bishop I. – #MyDoorStory #Emilinks “day 29”
“Ayomide, Iremide, common enter the car you are late for school”. ‘Mum my you’ve passed Jason’s house’. She quickly made a u-turn and picked up Jason, who is in the same class with the twin. And so, Mrs Mark dropped the children at school and zoomed off to work.

It was 3:30pm, the alarm bell from her phone reminded her it was time to pick up the children from school. Hurriedly, she abandoned what she was doing on the computer, picked her phone and handbag and ran to the car. Oh my God, she thought, “hope I’ll make it on time, the school is some distance from the office” she murmured.

“Please officer, forgive me for beating the traffic light, am late to pick up my 4 year old twins, they are all we’ve got, and it took us 8 years to have them. My husband will not forgive me if anything happens to them. Please officer is way passed their closing time. I have to pick up my twins”. She was cautioned and was advised to drive safely.
Is there a cultural display at the school today she thought? All she can see are; a large crowd- lots of people jumping and falling on the ground- Ambulance- Fire service- Police & Civil defense- Drilling machine- First aid boxes- (Emergency dispatch team she thought… was there a fight?). THE SCHOOL BUILDING IS GONE! she just realised, “Where is the school building?” She screamed. ‘Madam, the school building collapsed this morning and the children and their teachers have been buried alive for over 4 hours now, are your children in this school?’ “Nooooo” she shouted, “my twins! this cannot be real! the school building cannot collapse! Ayomide! Iremide!! Ayomide!!!!!!!!
This is just one of the many gory tales of building collapse, going by the frequency that have become common in our society today, it is highly important that those who want to build their own houses either for personal or business purposes should be sure that they are using quality building materials throughout the process.

The first step you should take to ensure that you contractor or builder uses high-quality material is to do some research. Make sure that your contractor and their team has extensive experience in constructing the type of home you’re looking to build. Ask if you can visit some completed projects and get a feel for the quality of materials and workmanship used in those homes.

Using quality building materials whether or not they are green certified or energy efficient is essential for your long term investment and safety. There are many green products on the market today that are both beautiful and functional. Many green products that are environmentally friendly are also energy efficient in your home making your initial investment pay off in the long term.

For building materials like Doors and Windows, it is especially important to choose a high quality product like Emilinks. You know Windows stream in ultraviolet light into your home, which can fade flooring and furniture. By choosing an energy efficient window, you can block out some of the harmful rays and at the same time, the quality of the windows will help reduce heat loss in the winter and keep in cooler air in the summer.
The wood used in the framing of your new infill home and doors is another important consideration. Using properly treated wood products such as BluWood can prevent fungus, mold and wood ingesting pest infestations. That is why I would always recommend Emilinks product. They are the number ONE company to reach out to when in need of superior quality mentioned above. You know when you use Emilinks, not only are you using a superior building material, but you are also protecting your health and safety.

7) Ayuba M. – Day 29
Standard building materials is a most important and indispensable factor which is very important in building our homes, offices, schools, hospitals etc and it concerns everyone irrespective of race and religion.
It is a sad day to all Kano state university of technology students (KUST) , other schools students and caring parents who knew about the sad incidence that took place at KUST on 25th August 2016 around 12 noon, a building under construction at the school premises collapsed on some of the school students while waiting and still preparing for their examination coming up around 2:30pm same day. The uncompleted building became a reading spot for some students because the area is not noisy and thus believe it helps in improving the rate of assimilation, but things turns not as expected as this ugly incidence left alot of students injured and even a dead record. I want to use this medium to call on the attention of government, rich and poor masses to save their lives and that of their love ones by avoiding the use of substandard building materials. However Emilinks product are the best building materials, for your kitchen, doors and wardrobes, Saying yes to Emilinks is saying no to substandard building materials. #Emilinks #MyDoorStory

8) ohakachioma – Day 29 – The trauma and anger left in a person as a result of the sudden collapse of his building is nothing to write home about… Of course its almost his life savings which must have gone down the drain….I am a witness of such occurrence and this is my story…After so much plea from my mum asking my dad to build her a shop in front of my house, my dad decided to build it..Surprisingly it didnt take up to a month and the building was done….But after like two months we noticed a big crack on the building…thinking its one of those few things that comes up on buildings we ignored it …..Then oneday my brother called telling me the building collapsed suddenly after a heavy downpour…i was sad, what kind of quack building materials did the builders use, of course God saved my mum she would have been in the shop and it will colapse on her…God forbid the story would have been different….The importance of using a good building material is not far fetched…. For one the rest of mind you have while occupying that building is very much assured…2: you will continue to see your money invested in the building and be happy?… Moreover, come rain come sunshine your building still stands tall whenever u see it.. #emilinks #mydoorstory @bellanaijaonline

9) walexzola – #Emilinks #MyDoorStory….
The importance of building with good and quality materials cannot be over emphasised nor can it be overrated because it goes a long way than making a house beautiful on outside but also making it safe and homey on the inside.this is what most people dont realise before they start building gigantic houses using substandard materials just because they want people who see the house from outside to envy them when they could have built a smaller house which would bring them protection from weather conditions and also gives no room for accidents in the home.this was the harsh reality my cousin came to after building a beautiful mansion which i told him to use emilinks materials for but he wouldn’t listen telling me he had everything under control.it was dream house for everybody that came across that house right from the foundation level.the kind of house that u would see and start questioning God.this dream house was completed,lo and behold we were all proud of my cousin and he too was bragging all about like dangote.on the day of the house warming that was when laughter turned into cries and heads began rolling because the house crumbled without a single structure surviving.there were many casualities and dead bodies.if only my cousin had used emilinks quality materials then this wouldnt av happened #bellanaijaonline

10) @itzkvng_gee – Day 29
Always build your houses with standard materials don’t improvise.
I recall when we were in our previous house. We couldn’t sleep at night. The roofing sheets were always disturbing, making creaking noise. The fence in front of our house fell during a rainy night and caused damage to the corridor falling the pillars. That same night our kitchen ceiling fell in. That was what woke us up. We woke up to find the living room flooded. It then dawned on us that we had to move out. The house in the picture is our new place and it strong to the core because the materials are standard and strong. The builders didn’t improvise. My dad personally supervised the construction. Use standard materials for good satisfaction. Use emilinks

The Three Little Pigs (A fable about using standard materials like emilinks products in building house)

Once upon a time there were three little pigs. One pig built a house of straw while the second pig built his house with sticks. They built their houses very quickly and then sang and danced all day because they were lazy.
The third little pig worked hard all day and built his house with bricks.

A big bad wolf saw the two little pigs while they danced and played and thought, “What juicy tender meals they will make!” He chased the two pigs and they ran and hid in their houses. The big bad wolf went to the first house and huffed and puffed and blew the house down in minutes. The frightened little pig ran to the second pig’s house that was made of sticks. The big bad wolf now came to this house and huffed and puffed and blew the house down in hardly any time. Now, the two little pigs were terrified and ran to the third pig’s house that was made of bricks.

The big bad wolf tried to huff and puff and blow the house down, but he could not. He kept trying for hours but the house was very strong and the little pigs were safe inside. He tried to enter through the chimney but the third little pig boiled a big pot of water and kept it below the chimney. The wolf fell into it and died.

The two little pigs now felt sorry for having been so lazy. They too built their houses with bricks and lived happily ever after.

It’s one thing to be a landlord, it’s another thing to be safe within your own house.
My dad and his brother both bought parcels of land at the same time. it took dad 4 years to complete our house, while my uncle spent hearty a year building it.
when we complained, dad would reply by saying : “you don’t rush greatness. Better safe than sorry.”
Couple of months after my uncle moved in his house collapsed after series of heavy rainfall.
When I asked dad the cause he said Uncle used low quality materials. And that’s what he was taking so much time to built the house.
    Better safe than sorry indeed.
Go for best quality materials. #Emilinks

A bad building can lead to the following :
1)I once heard of this man who was building a house and decided to use poor materials instead of Emilinks. It all ended when the house collapsed during construction and killed two of his laborers. In order to save his life, he had to use his life savings as compensation for both families. In summary, a building that is built with poor materials is dangerous and will never last
2)In our former house. The building where substandard, whenever it was raining, water would absolve into the wall because the blocks were of poor standard. We never had peace whenever it was raining. Either the roof was licking, or water was passing through the wall. In summary a bad building does not assure you real shelter or safety.
3)Lastly a substandard building never last.My uncles house didn’t stay up to two years before the paint used to paint the house started wearing off. In summary a substandard building is not durable, and never lasts.

#Day 30 I once witnessed a building collapse and I not only witnessed it. I was in the building. The building wasn’t just any building it was actually my grandpa’s house. The house was built from mud. Years after it was built, when my dad was still a boy, the mud surface was plastered with cement to modernise its look. On this day, we had gone to the village to visit grandpa and grandma, we had dinner and just as we were about to sleep in our room, we heard a loud cracking or should I say whistling sound and before we knew it, one side of the walls of our room was crumbling before our very eyes. Stones, sand, cement was falling all over, we all had to run for our dear lives, I ran so fast, as my legs could carry me. I had forgotten I had my family members with me, my instinct was just to save myself. I ran and ran away from the house, when I was safe, I discovered my face was wet, I touched it and discovered it was blood, I had a deep cut on my forehead and then I remembered, my mum, my dad, my sister, oh God, what is this? I walked back to the house and I saw my dad and some men from the village trying to pull someone out of the debris, my mum was crying at the side and was been pacified by some women, her face brightened up when she saw me and then she told me my little sister was trapped, my sister was later rescued and on the way to the hospital, she gave up the ghost. This has left an indelible mark on my family and with the scar on my forehead, I simply cannot forget. My father later had the whole building pulled down and rebuilt it with quality materials in memory of my dear sister. This is for you, sis, love and miss you so much. I believe when you read this from up there. You will surely smile. I miss your smile and I just imagined it in my head. Please stop patronizing marketers of substandard materials. #MyDoorStory #Emilinks

    Day 30
That night everyone went to bed sad. My dad had earlier received a call that his building collapsed suddenly. The next morning we all went to the building site and saw it in ruins. An investigation was carried out and it turned out that the building collapsed as a result of poor building materials. My dad felt heart broken and betrayed because he had already given the contractor the amount of money needed to buy good equipment and the contract bought cheap poor ones instead. The contractor was arrested for fraud. But my dad also thanked God anyway because no life was lost. When building, always make sure to get the best materials because bad buildings may collapse and kill people. #MyDoorStory #Emilinks‎

23rd December 2012 we all traveled to the village as usual for the Christmas celebration. Omoh come and see my village has change oooo, see big big houses everywhere, standard and we’ll erected buildings,i was surprised at the same time glad that my Bush village is now developing.
Malaysian guys as they are popularly called are really working. Guys from the ages of 20-30 were the owners and landlords of these gallant buildings. This made my uncle so jealous that he swore to beat them, he never knew the quality of the materials or the professionals that erected the building, all he cared about was that he was going to beat them.
Oya na the time to build is here,my uncle went and chattered substandard product cause that’s Wat his pocket can afford. He actually completed the building and started boasting all over the village, He even went to the extent of putting up an opening ceremony for the house.
Gbagan!!!! 2years later saddest news occurred, my uncles mansion collapsed killing his aged mother. It was indeed a sad day all over the village. My uncle wept bitterly, but his tears couldn’t bring back his dead mother nor bring back the collapsed house to order. He learnt his lesson in a hard way. He promised himself not to ever copy others
It was later he found out the secret behind others stronge and durable buildings….. It’s Emilinks,,,,,,emilinks product is 1 of the major product that were used in the buildings in my village. All thanks to emilinks for standing the taste of time. My uncle has decided to build a little house as far as its emilinks product that is going to be used. His words exactly ‘it’s better is small and strong, than big and fragile.

I am Emmy and I writes from Edo. And through my article, I want every Nigerian know and be aware of how important and relevant it is to build with good quality materials and not substandard and look-like quality materials which are most common in our market. With that said, I know well of a government primary school project in my locality that was finely built and almost completed but will you believe me that the beautiful building project completely collapsed and sunk to the ground with roof on top the debris and the lousy contractor manoeuvred his way out and blame was on the land topography and the drizzy rain with heavy storm that day. What a complete shame because evidences showed lack of standard quality building materials. Houses are man’s dwelling place for shelter and security; and building contractors and engineers must know this and not endanger man’s life by compromising this fact via using of substandard materials so as to embezzle their purses. And also when we build in our society or have chance to build, whether be it a fine house or not a fine one, as the plan may be, we should do it with quality materials and not have the mindset of using materials that are opposite of the real thing just because of how cheap the price may be. My mommy will always say, when you do something, do it well and by application to this article, I charge every Nigerian whether poor or rich that when we build, we should do it well so as to avoid consequences of any sort. Build with quality materials and with #emilinks, it is sure….. #emilinks don open e door wide open so dat every person, poor and rich go know the essence, relevance and importance of to build with beta quality materials for market.

There was this man my father knew. He was a family friend to us. I can never forget the experience he had. I think we should all agree with the saying which says what is worth doing is worth doing well. My okoro my father’s friend wanted to be like everybody including my father. He had a house he was building. It was going well before he went greedy, he saw the beautiful house my father and his friends were building and he wanted to be like them. He didn’t cut his cloth according to his size. My father has been working his whole life and a beautiful house was like payment for his hardwork.Mr okoro began to rush the building of his house. The started cutting down expenses and buying cheaper substandard materials for his building. In no time the building was completed and he parked in with his family. There were all asleep one night when the house started Collapsping. They all stood up and ran for their dear life. But his first child Was unfortunately trapped inside and lost his life. It was indeed a tragic day. Bad buildings are dangerous to the occupants. Be wise now.. Get Emilinks #MyDoorStory #Emilinks‎

It’s not an easy task building a house in Rivers State especially in the swampy areas, not to talk of how expensive building materials cost. I remember when I started my building at elepranwo axis in port Harcourt city. I was discouraged by my family and friends because it was too swampy and a lot of houses built their has never lasted for more than 2-3years. I assured them that mine was going to be different, and indeed mine was different
It’s been 7years and still counting, and my house is still in a perfect condition, not even a crack on the wall. All because I used quality and standard materials, I also ensured my workers were professionals. That was the secret to my house as people continue asking.
To crown it all I used Emilinks furniture for all necessary part which needed furniture and that made my building stand out.
Using good materials for building makes your building last long, improves the look of your environment, brings good health, saves lives and reduces expenses in future.

    Day 30
What is worth building is worth building well. We live in a rented building at Greenfield Estate and with all honesty, it is not just a beautiful house, the Owner of the house built a home. The importance of building houses with quality materials and not substandard materials should be very paramount in the mind of the owner, architect and contractor. This will promote safety and protection of individuals. A house is supposed to be a source of refuge and shelter from unfavourable conditions. The reverse is the case in our society. These days, Many a individuals want to complete a Building project quickly without actually sitting down to contemplate the effect of using substandard materials and the hazard and the shame that comes along with it. This incident happened in my street. A day was set aside for the House warming of a certain man. Announcement had gone far and wide. On this day, many people were in attendance. while celebration was going on, a noise was heard like the rumble of the earth quaking and before we could decipher the noise, the building had given way and was crumbling. This was supposed to be a new house and one that is supposed to last for years to come. Many people were injured and more expenses were incurred that would have been averted if good and quality materials like Emilinks product had been used which have got durability. #Emilinks #mydoorstory #day30 there ris God oooooooo Hmmmmm choose emilinks

I knew something was wrong as soon as I stepped into my house after work one day. The first indication Was The dent in my front door lock, it was still locked but there were telltale signs of having been tampered with. I unlocked and went inside my apartment, praying that my stuff were still intact – hint: they were not. Far from that. My sitting room looked like it did the day I moved in newly, bare and dry with minimal furniture.
Obviously I’d been burgled but I didn’t even have the mind or strenght to cry about it, I was that tired. I called my boyfriend to ask if I could spend the night in his place then at his insistence, went to get a replacement for my door later the next day.
The experience has taught me never to use substandard products again, as the door I was using then easily gave way under slight pressure, enabling the thieves to come into my house. I use Emilinks doors all around my apartment, and even my dad who is rarely impressed by anything has been wowed at its strength, durability and lustre. As a friend and a patriotic Nigerian, I can only recommend Emilinks products for your house.
    Thank me later.

On the eve of my birthday last year, i received an sms from my mum. I was even thinking it was a pre-birthday wish or an alert (for my day), but got shocked when it was a notification that my elder sibling’s just newly built a storeyed building collapsed. I quickly rang my mother; she bitterly stated that upon all agreements reached with the contractor, he opted not buying the fittings/fixtures from #Emilinks and equally used sub-standard building materials.

That was strange, thus i quickly got the site and tearfully confimed the worrisome scene. My brother equally arrived from Lagos and we summoned the contractor who on interrogation confessed channeling the funds provided to sort a bank’s bad loan and opting using less quality building materials and not even going for the #Emilinks brand (when he was even advised to do so). He was charged to court and jailed.

Based on lessons learned on both parties, much emphasis should be placed on the use of #Emilinks and quality/standard building materials. Emilinks is an affordable, quality and good brand – doors, windows, kitchen wares etc.

I remembered vividly the nature of our former rented family house and can categorically state that “houses built with sub-standard materials and less quality household fittings & fixtures, makes one’s home & entire household miserable”. From external (outside view probably because of the attractive painting, the structure really looks okay and I felt that must have lured my father to go ahead and rent. Meanwhile, we were the very first occupants, thus the worrisome experiences – I, my parents and siblings had, was uncalled for and incredible. The doors were really so bad and of low quality thus the edges were so rough & do tear our clothes. Do you know my Mum after preparing to get to the villa for the yearly August meeting , stepped out of her room, got caught by the rough edge of the bad door and her costly original ABADA badly torn. She wept so bitterly. The railing used for corridor rails, the metal door, kitchen sink and bath tubs all of a sudden became rusty and started disintegrating in particles. My parents warned and barred us from playing at the corridor for fear and risk of leaning against the railings, it breaks and we fall off. The fitted wardrobes were even homes to huge cockroaches, ants etc.
Since virtually most fittings were of less quality, we encountered massive rodents’ visits (rats). We kept doing structure repairs every now and then. At a point the walls started getting water-drained and this poses risk as per structural problem as regards the quality of the roofing and materials. Though our rent was for couple of years but just after ten months, my dad smartly notified the house owner that he was to soon embark on a job related inter-city transfer thus we are likely to vacate shortly; he got back a year rent refund.
When he took me along to examine the new house, I was just taking my time in examining the entire house and closets, fittings and fixture ( the doors, metal railings, tubs, wardrobe, already fitted kitchen wares), when the landlord stepped up to us and said “not to worry my people, those doors, wardrobes and virtually the entire fittings, fixtures and wares” were from #EMILINKS…He winks and stated I am a correct landlord. They were all looking superb and of great quality. We felt so satisfied, moved in and hard a very happy home experience and never encountered qualms at all over years. Equally mum stated that a former neighbour she met at the market equally told her that they’ve packed out from the former house.
Till today including we including co-tenants do call the owner “oga correct landlord” and was just proudly because of his patronage of #EMILINKS brand and using quality materials in its entirely. This is our sixth year in the safe and enjoyable new house; my father’s personal house which is almost nearing completion is equally fully equipped with the #EMILINKS brand. He used to joke and tell us “who no like better thing joor…biko, I no want wahala (ie as per the very former house worrisome experiences) and I equally have in mind that in future once I’m fully established – #Emilinks all the way!!!

Bungalow no day collapse”, these was one of popular sayings of my ignorant uncle. My dad’s elder brother was a semi learned man and he was into gambling.Luckily for him, he won a jackpot and he decided to build a house and be free from the so called “Lagos landlords”. His idea was ideal but apart from being gambler, he was also a miser. My uncle hated spending money or rather giving out money.
So when my uncle started building his house, the engineer would advice him to buy quality materials but he would opt for less quality because he didn’t want to spend money and if the engineer should caution him about its effect, he would say ” Bungalow no day collapse” because he was building a bungalow. Eventually, the house was completed and he moved in with his family.
The unwanted happened, there was a big storm in Lagos and it removed the roof of the building and half of the wall of the building collapsed. This event took my uncle back to square one because he couldn’t rehabilitate the building. He sold the land and had to fall back to a rented apartment because of his ignorance.
So avoid setbacks like these in life, get good building materials and enjoy the best form of insurance.I recommend #Emilinks in the aspect of furnitures.

My body all over with dust, my eyes closed, and then i started calling out for my husband, and also my son. i myself couldn’t move my leg, it was pressed by the wood from the roof. What in the heaven am i going to do? I started praying, oh lord, please keep my family safe, please, hear my prayer, Few moments later, muuummmyyyy, came Junior’s voice from behind a slab of wall. I have learnt a great lesson from the use of Substandard materials… It’s too bad it’s an everlasting lesson!
Tope and I had been friends since I knew I had to share my biscuit wit someone, we go way back primary school. She’s my BFF. One faithful afternoon after home lesson I went to Tope’s house and we were at the verandah playing, wen suddenly, I heard a loud noise, I looked back with fear only to find out that the front door fell down and landed on Tope! I screamed, her parents rushed out and Tope was taken to the hospital…we knw the rest… But it’s been 7yrs now and the scars are there on Tope’s shoulders! Her hands have never been the same again. If only the door was quality, it wouldn’t have fallen on Tope… The disadvantages of Substandard materials are too numerous to mention, the damages that a Substandard door has done to my friend cannot be over emphasized. If only the door was quality, an Emilinks door, Tope wouldn’t be in the situation she is in right now, because the door wouldn’t have fallen. Use quality materials and products so you can live in peace, so you wouldn’t have to bother about a falling door, so you won’t have a deformed shoulder like my friend! I have learnt my own lesson and have seen it first hand. Get quality, Get Emilinks! #MyDoorStory #Emilinks

We used to call him ‘Baba Soldier’. He was something of a phenomenon in our area and was rightly so: He was a retired soldier and perhaps the oldest man in the area. His was perhaps the oldest building in the area as well.

I was new in the area and was looking for a place to rent. You couldn’t travel that area without noticing Baba Soldier’s house; it easily stood out. It was old, one could tell, but there was something about it – something strong, something different. Funnily (I found it funny then), it was even more expensive than some of the newer houses. It was near the rainy season and I quickly wanted to settle down. I didn’t even consider the house and settled for a more aesthetic newer and cheaper house.

In retrospect, I should never have made that decision. About one and a half months after moving into my new place, a terrible storm occurred. It was devastating, uprooting anything in its way and robbing houses of anything from roofs to clothing lines. My house was badly affected.

I woke up to showers of rain right inside my room. I could have sworn I was dreaming. It was a nightmare! My food, clothes, bed… Everything got affected. I was shivering and cursing the day I moved into the house.

Later, when the day broke, we all got out to appraise the level of damage that had been done. To my utter surprise, Baba Soldier’s house wasn’t affected. It was that very morning that I went to inquire if there was a vacancy. There was and I moved in that week before even asking for my balance in the former house.

I lived peacefully in Baba Soldier’s house throughout my stay. Baba Soldier didn’t compromise when he was building his house and that has made all the difference. I held that lesson dear. In fact, when I was going to build my house, I asked Baba Soldier for some advice – I wanted my house to be as long lasting ad his. He introduced me to the Emilinks brand.

I live in my own house now and will forever remember Baba Soldier and his house fondly.

2014 was the year, we had only lived in this house for like 5 months, like you know how fresh everything usually is, the paint, the mirrors, doors, everything was just lush and on point, Dad had spent a good amount of money paying the vendors who carried out the furnishing of the house, this was our very first house, finally our own house, our joy knew no bound. I for one i’m very particular about my room, cause for me its kind of like my own little sanctuary. Now on first sighting, the room looked really nice to me, and I loved everything and absolutely couldn’t wait to put in my stuff and upload pictures online for my friends to see. Now on this particular day I was taking a picture before church as we were about to leave for church and BOOM! the wardrobe door comes crashing alongside the mirror on it; like till this day I absolutely cant believe it, for heaven’s sake everything in this house was new. Dad was devastated, for the first time ever in my life, I witnessed firsthand how catastrophic Inferior goods can be. A colleague of my dad’s at work suggested we try the Nigerian Brand door #Emilinks ( my first time hearing that), after much persistence, my dad who is usually skeptical about Nigerian Brands however went ahead and replaced our wardrobe with #Emilinks. it has been 2 yrs of this wonderful journey with #Emilinks and I have absolutely no regrets, like looking at it everyday just gives me so much joy.
Thank God Dad currently plans on changing all the doors in the house to #Emilinks some tome next year, of course on my insistence.
Thank You #Emilinks for defying all odds and producing real quality doors and furniture, may you continue to soar higher. Oshe oooo!!!!!!

One cool evening, as I was strolling through my neighborhood, taking the sugar cane I just bought.
    I heard shouting “Help Help”
Within seconds I saw people running towards a particular direction.
Out of curiosity I headed towards the same place to see for myself what was happening.
To my utmost surprise a part of a building has collapsed with a family of three trapped under it.
With much effort, the family was rescued and none was hurt.
Instead of the people affected to be rejoicing and thanking God for saving them, the following drama ensured.
Man: (With anger towards his wife) I have told you, times without number, whenever it’s raining like this take this child and stay in mama’s house till it stops raining but you won’t listen. Now see what your stubbornness has caused.
Woman: (In tears) How am I even sure, it was going to rain? The weather keeps changing, and am tired of always having to run, if only you had built this house with quality materials all these won’t have happened. (Wiping her tears).
From nowhere an elderly man who happened to be their neighbor, Baba Sala by name chipped in.
Baba Sala: E don do E don do, haba!!! Make una pay better money build house, umba.
Make una build house with correct quality building materials umba.
Naso una go dey let old papa like me with waist pain, to dey run up and down.
Baba Kelvin, break this your house naw, build am back with quality building materials, na the reigning thing now be that.
    Life no get duplicate o
Man: Thank you baba Sala I have learnt my lessons. Never again will I endanger the life of my family like this.
Immediately he embraced his wife and child to himself.
Experience they say is the best teacher.
It does not have to happen to you before you learn some lessons.
A word they say is enough for the wise.
As you build those dream houses of yours, don’t forget to furnish them with #Emilinks products.
It gives it a touch of beauty and elegance.

It rained heavily last week Sunday that lots of people could not go out. Sincerely I enjoyed the weather reason being that it was on a Sunday and I rested and also had enough time to prepare for the week. But it was not a palatable Sunday for some families. While I was watching the television and sipping the hot tea, I heard a strange noise about 2pm.
Help! Help!! Help!!! That was the noise we heard from the street. Out of anxiety, we rushed out to see what happened and behold we were all shocked and it was like a movie. There was a storm that made a building to collapse. Haaaaaaa, what could have happened was the question that everyone kept asking. No one could help. Families were trapped in the building which resulted to lost of lives and properties. It was so sad but that could have been avoided if only the house was built with Quality materials like Emilinks and not substandard materials.
The moral lesson is that No matter how expensive quality building materials are, its safe to go for the best.

then suddenly I jumped on my feet out of fear, gosh! It was my friend Razaq whom I visited that tapped me on the shoulder.
‘’Guy what are you thinking of?’’ He said
‘Guy I have to pack into my new apartment in few weeks’ time, since I could not afford a very good apartment I have to manage that one I told you about, the one near that fuel station, Guy that house is leaking badly, With the way things are now, i may have to pay for 1 year, I don’t have much to get a better apartment. I explained to my friend Razaq.
“O boy, in this raining season, that is the last thing you need, Why not go for a much better and affordable apartment, there is one across that street after that mai suya, their building materials are of #Emilinks brand just like my own they are affordable, durable and comfortable to stay in’’ he said
The next day he took me there, and to my surprise, it was just the way he described it, We had to contact the agent immediately and I paid for 1 ½ years.
Wow, the house is just my dream house.
I have no more fears of having to sleep under a leaking roof.

Buildings, like all structures, are designed to support certain loads without deforming excessively. The loads are the weights of people and objects, the weight of rain and the pressure of wind–called live loads–and the dead load of the building itself.
Collapse of buildings is not new to Nigeria, neither is it only peculiar in Nigeria, however that will not stop us from taking critical look at the situation and finding a solution to it.
Collapse of building though can happen to any kind of building but the casualty of multistorey buildings can be so terrible.I asked myself what could have been the causes of collapsed building only to realized that quack building materials is the major cause of collapsed building and to be on a safer side the best is to go for quality building materials like EMILINKS.

@bellanaija, The importance of building houses with quality materials can not be over emphasized. . The frequency of collapse building structures in Nigeria in the past few years have become very alarming and worrisome and many lives and properties have been lost. for years have been hearing about collapsed building both in newspapers and from people but i never gave it much thought not until i witnessed it. There was a 5 storey building in my street that has been in existence for 2 years. which occupied lots of families.
One day, there was a heavy rain and the building was shaking and the building was almost down. so, occupants of the house started screaming and people started running for their lives. while some people were trying to run for their lives the building collapsed and people were trapped under the building. many lives and properties were lost and i started asking myself questions and i realized that the building collapsed not because of the rain but because quack materials were used in building the house.
So, to avoid buildings being collapsed, it’s is best to go for quality building materials such as Emilinks. #Emilinkssaves

sustainability is meant to make something last. The main idea of using sustainable building materials is to construct a home that lasts—and a longer-lasting home means lower maintenance costs and less up-keep.
My Father really struggled to build a house in his village. After using his hard earned pension to build a four bedroom flat only for the building to collapse 3 years after a heavy rain fall.
We could have happened, we kept asking ourselves questions upon questions. some family members said the witch and wizard in the village caused the incident to happen. Due to the incident my dad fell sick.
After much deliberation, we contacted an architect and we were told that the materials used in building the house were quacked materials not witches and wizards.
My father’s ignorance in cost reduction to get quack materials leads to collapse of the building and i realize that A cost reduction and extended life-span seem reason enough to convince anyone into building a sustainable home. But what sort of materials are used to make a sustainable home last so long and make it so cost-efficient?
Then i remember that whatever is worth doing is worth doing well.
Go for the best, Go for emilinks.

So we just moved into this new house. Infact, I was swept away by the paintings outside that I quickly settled all fees and moved in. It was the rainy season and then there was this cold wet night, myself & wife decided to sleep early. It wasn’t long that I started dreaming of swimming in a pool. It must have been my movement on the bed that woke my wife. Suddenly her slap woke me up. I was angry but then I saw my wet body and kept quiet, feeling ashamed that I had bed wetted. It wasn’t until she pointed up that my courage came back to me. Alas!! The roof of our new house was leaking. The water was the leakage apparently caused my stupid dream & also made me think I bed wetted. We didn’t wait for the rent to expire before we changed apartment. We wouldn’t suffer the repercussions of someone else’s evil choice of using sub standard roofing products. #Emilinks #MyDoorStory

“WHERE YOUR RENT?” my landlord bellowed towards me, spittle of saliva coming out of his mouth and hitting my face.
“Baba, I go pay you soon nah” I retorted with a hiss, turning away from him with a snicker.
“you no know say recession dey?” I added, hoping the 75 year old uneducated brick layer cum landlord would choke on the big economic word “recession”.
He shook his head and hissed.
“if you like speak big big grammar, na you sabi…all I want is my rent ehn or else find somewhere else to live oh.”
on hearing those words, a fright came upon me. as much as I detested the prodding for rent and the landlord himself, I detested being out on the street even more. Nowhere in my neighborhood was safe, my apartment being the only gated building in the vicinity built with the best of materials. And I was sure the moment word got out of an eviction a lot of people will clamour for the vacant space, most especially my Baba ijebu vendor, Jubril. In my vicinity, safety is first and comfort later, which is why my one room apartment at that moment felt like a condo.
“I dey give you one week…one week to find me my rent or else…hmm, or else…”
I swallowed hard and forced a smile as I watched him walk away. I disliked the man but six armed robbery operations had taken place in that vicinity and in all of them our safety as tenants in his building had been guaranteed because of his wise choice in effective and quality #Emilinks builiding material. For a 75 year old uneducated brick layer cum landlord, I reckon that to be a very educated decision.

#emilinks #MYDOORSTORY. #day30 THE IMPORTANCE OF USING GOOD MATERIALS TO BUILD. Building materials are materials that are used for construction purpose. A good building material is a building material which meets a Certain standard and cannot be easily destroyed due to their durability.it is important to build with good materials because
    1) the building will last a life time :the use of quality materials gives you a home that lasts and a longer lasting home means lower maintenance cost and less up keep.
2)A comfortable and beautiful home: building with good materials is an easy way to get comfort in your home, there are no leaking roofs or cracked walls.
3)A secure and safe zone: when built with good materials a home is secure against intruders, and there is no fear of a door falling on playing children or the building collapsing.
4)building with quality materials will guarantee you peace of mind because there is no need for constant repair neither is there fear of your building collapsing.
It is adviceable for house owners to build with good materials to make the society a better place.

‘I’m finished ohh , I’m finished’ the woman wept uncontrollably, i approached with a feeling of discomfort, i hate to see people cry, when i got closer i asked one of the onlookers what was going on, he narrated the sad story of how the woman’s only child had been killed in an ongoing construction site, the innocent boy who helped his mum sell bread and akara had gone to the site to sell to the workers when all of a sudden the building had collapsed killing the little boy along with some workers.
It was really a sad story i looked on for some minutes and went on my way, as i walked i dwelled on what I had just heard, i wondered the reason why upon the constant cases of building collapses people still chose to risk their lives and the lives of innocent citizens by using substandard materials. The use of substandard building materials according to SON is the leading cause of building collapses in the society. We should therefore avoid loss of lives and also properties by patronizing quality building materials.

How could he have had the knowledge? I asked myself. I was sitting in this century old mansion of my family. I was like, we have new generation buildings that collapsed before the owner enjoys his sweat, but no, that is not the case in my house. If am not mistaken, we are the 3rd generation to be living in this house. But come to think of it, my great-great day, wasn’t that sophisticated, educated but yet he knew the importance of buildings houses with quality building materials. Did he had some spirit minister to him while building, i don’t know. Located in the hinterland of Benue State, Our house has stood the test of time, it defied the flood that usually comes from the river benue, the communal clash and stories my dad told me of the attacks and burning from the fulani invasion. And as if by some means of supernatural powers there is happiness in my family. Perhaps building houses with quality materials gives joy and contentment in the family. Our neighbors are always drying out their mattresses under the sun for it to dry, their houses are newer than ours but the roof keeps leaking. Just because they didn’t build theirs with quality materials. Our house plays host to important dignitaries that visit the community, even a foreigner gave a commended and asked who built the house. In our annual family reunion, everyone was around, And looking at the building it doesn’t look like it’s tired, just like RMD looking like 24 years and Queen Genevieve looking 16, the house is good to go for the next who-knows number of years. Somebody help! somebody help!! Help ooo!!! It was a loud cry coming out from my neighbours residence. Nobody could actually hear her shout for help, except I, who was at home after returning from lectures that evening, while others are still at the market and everywhere was quiet. Then i rushed out as i go to find out why my neighbor was calling for help with such a ground breaking shout. On my way reaching her residence, the next thing i hear was thief! thief!! as she continues calling for help, hmm! i tried to take an eagle eye look towards her building, there comes those three hefty Men coming out from her house, carrying what they have stolen. From what i saw, the first was carrying a television, the other carrying a home theatre and the last person was carrying a bag, of which my thought was that, “it was money”. The woman couldn’t do anything as i saw her helpless as she shout. I thought of what to do but what could actually rush to my mind was to make a phone call to my brother, who happened to be a police officer, Luckily enough they were actually patrolling with their vehicle as they were passing across the residence, my phone call reached him and they immediately rushed in. But unfortunately enough the thieves heard the sound of their saloon and out of fear of the police they knew that carrying all that they have stollen will give them tough time, but they decided to drop everything as they find their way and escaped but obviously, they were on masked such that not even my neighbor nor I could see their faces. That days event, shocked everybody so much as everyone returns and the story was aired to everyone’s hearing. It was later, that the woman(my neighbor) said that the bag of which they would have carried contain a huge amount of money of which her husband kept at home, hopping to take it to the bank the next morning.
It is obvious that all these happened because the house was not built up to standard with a quality and good materials for the doors and to also surround the whole building. That was one of the risk that one could undergo using a substandard doors and materials in building because thieves can either break the door or wall of a substandard building and find their way inside the house. As you can see, a substandard building can expose you to danger, while a standard house that is made of good quality Materials and furniture such as door, like the the one from emilinks can protect you from all sort of dangers that may arose from any angle. #emilinks #MyDoorStory. There was a saying that not all that looks good outside are good not until the inside is verified and reviewed, I will try to relate this to a house acquired by my brother as a situation office. And I will say it is unwise of every building contractor going for substandard materials all in the name of lets manage it like that which in turn create dooms or havoc to our society. Forgetting that quality materials makes a house to become a home that advocates for ZERO tolerance for havoc. Not knowing that, that singular act of him making use of substandard materials all in the name of lets manage will creates havocs in return.
This house was so beautiful that it got the attention of my brother, which lead him to making an enquiry about the said house, which he later acquire as his situation office, but a lot happened three months after we begin to experience a lot of problem relating to doors, ceiling and roofing linkages whenever it is raining.
As per that which concerns the difficulties I faced with doors in the house, words is not enough to explained it but instead witnessing it by oneself. Do you people knew it that, it happened every single day that it will took me several minutes before I could open the entrance door with much energy that will involve at least two people dragging it before it will open, and this is applicable to every single door in there.
There comes a day as we were trying to open the door as usual the door handle was broken in which the door opened but both of us trying to open it fell off apart sustaining several injuries, there was a day too when I was in toilet the door jammed I try every possible best to open it but all proved abortive what saved me that day was that am with phone, I then called a colleague there in the office who came over, it even took him 12 to 15 minutes before he could be able to open the door.
A house without good finishing and furnishing I will personally refers to it as a substandard house. Immerging a house built just of recent I wonder why the landlord had not ordered for #Emilinks instead of the foreign finishing and furnishing substandard materials used in there.
After all #Emilinks has several kinds of finishing and furnishing standard materials even far more cheaper than the one he claimed to have been a foreign standard materials which cannot even be called or considered as fairly standard, talk less of calling it standard materials.

@bellanaija #mydoorstory #day30 A lot of people tend to compromise when it comes to building houses, they just mix the cement wrongly and use poor materials.Organisations in charge of housing and standard practises should take note.#emilinks has taken a stand to use quality, its time others did same.
This will reduce the incidence of collapse, domestic accidents, theft, poor hygiene and so many other things. We all need to work together and fight substandard materials to ensure our safety because we never can tell when the worst will happen. But with quality materials such as #emilinks you are sure you and your family are safe and secure.
People that build houses should consider the following:-
    1) Use quality materials
    2) mix cement at the right proportion
    3) Do a good foundation
    4) Don’t patch electrical appliances
    5) Fix the roof according to standard operations. etc
#emilinks is a global maufacturer of world class finishings and furnishings such as beds, shelves, roofs, doors etc. Because i choose to be safe, sound and secure, i choose #emilinks.
Let me share my painful story. Everytime i remember this experience, it brings tears to my eyes. I can’t stop crying. Some few weeks back i and my best friend tunde went home after rehearsals.Tunde lives next to my house away from mine, this fateful day rain fell and it was heavy as usual everyone hid in their houses, little did he know he was hiding in the shadows of death, suddenly i heard a loud noise gbam, was that a bomb, everyone rushed out to see what happened.lo and behold, tunde’s house had collapsed.I was shocked,i almost ran mad.people shouted as everyone ran towards the house,no one even cared about the rain again.4 people died that day including tunde and his mum.It was a big loss to the community, only his dad and younger sister survived.Their wicked landlord used substandard materials to build the house, just to save cost and it cost 10 people’s lives,it was not worth it at all. When he was building the house, my dad warned him to use quality, but he did not bulge because he wanted to save money. The house looked beautiful on the outside but it was death on the inside. My family was lucky we built our house with standard and quality materials 20yrs ago. we used #emilinks.Part of the building collapsed on our own house but it did not affect it,#emilinks got us covered. I never regretted using emiilinks

    WHAT AN EXPERIENCE!
The high rate of building collapse in the country of recent is alarming. I have heard quite a good number of stories about building collapse from friends and I read some in newspapers and magazines but I took the stories nonchalantly not until I witnessed one myself.

I was returning home from the office that fateful day when I saw people running helter-skelter few kilometres away from where I live.

“Chineke meee!” a woman carrying a baby shouted.

“Help! Helpppppppp!” shouted another woman looking very confused.

I wondered what was happening. I took the turn to my right and walked some few steps and then I saw the reason for the chaos. A two-storied building was collapsing and people were trying to save those still trapped in the building by all means even risking their own lives.

“Don’t go in!” a man thundered as he ran to get hold of a middle-aged woman attempting to enter the collapsing building. “You might also get trapped,” he added in a warning tone.

I stood and watched helplessly not knowing what to do.

“But my only son is in the building,” the woman said tears streaming down her face. She was sweating profusely also. “I only went to get food for him and…” she broke down in tears.

All of a sudden as if being controlled by “juju”, I made to enter the building but a strong hand held me.

“Bros, you wan die ni?” he asked in pidgin English.

It was the same man who prevented the middle-aged woman from entering the building.

“Didn’t you, you… hear her say her, her only son is in there?” I stammered pointing at the building.

“Is that why you should risk your…”

The man has not finished speaking when we heard the heavy sound of the whole building crumbling. I looked and what I saw made me wept. I saw a smashed human brain with blood splattered everywhere. It was the goriest sight I have ever seen. Many persons sustained severe injuries while not less than ten persons died. It was a horrible experience for me. I pray not to witness such again.

Later, investigations revealed that the building collapsed because it was built with substandard materials gotten at cheap prices. Indeed any building built with substandard materials poses great threat to human life and existence and we must say no to usage of substandard materials to build our houses. We should build our houses with good, standard and quality materials like Emilinks building materials.

Last year, when my father began building a house at the village, I told him to use Emilinks building materials because that is one of the best in the country and he gladly did.

“Chinedu Ugwu Street”. This Street name has become indelible in my memory. Sometime ago in my area, the name everyone mentions when the topic about building arises is Chinedu Ugwu! This name started making waves when a particular building was still under construction and the owner bears the name above.

I remember clearly, when this building was completed, it was actually an edifice not just another building lol. It inspired people in a way that can hardly be explained. That it pays to have a “solid” and beautiful building.

But the event that played out in the following months after its completion showed clearly that #Emilinks was at work.

Chinedu Ugwu Street became sort of a tourist attraction in my area (It actually was). Practically everyone went there to see for themselves (I, myself went to see and also confirmed it).

Everybody wanted to be associated with that building in anyway they could, in the sense that some people who lived like two to three poles away from this famous building would direct their friends who wanted to visit them (those that have not been in that area for the first time) to stop in front of Chinedu Ugwu Street and they will be picked from there. The essence is just for the person to see and of course admire the building. This would later become the subject for discussion. It served as a “bus stop” for everyone of us in that area.

But the funniest part is that the Street which houses the building had another name (officially) but after the completion of that building, people unconsciously (or consciously) changed the name to that of the owner of the building and until today, the Street name has “unofficially” remained Chinedu Ugwu Street!

    #EMILINKS #MYDOORSTORY #DAY30

Lives, many lives, would have been saved, many humans won’t be dead, decaying under the ground if quality building materials had been used to build those collapsed buildings.
Imagine you are waiting at home, elated that your loved one would soon walk through the door, and give you a light kiss on your lips, but that expectation gets shattered when you find out that your loved one had died in a building wreckage.
Imagine the sorrow, the tears, the feeling of despair that would engulf such a soul.
That’s what a lot of humans have faced because those in charge of building a structure decided to opt for poor instruments instead of instruments produced by #EMILINKS.

The dreams that have been shattered, the stars that have been buried, the loved ones that have left the land of the living because of carelessness on the part of contractors.

Imagine how many geniuses have had their heads crushed when a building collapsed. Imagine how many unborn kids have perished with their mothers. Imagine how many talented musicians like Beethoven has left the world to join their ancestors because substandard products were used.
Imagine how many lives could have been saved assuming #EMILINKS products had been used.
Imagine how we have failed those who died when buildings collapse.

Imagine the tear drops that have left the eyes of those they left behind. Just imagine.

Using Emilinks wardrobes would add beauty to your room. Using Emilinks products in your kitchen would make your kitchen look state-of-the-art.

I have never heard from anyone that Emilinks disappoints.

Forget the fact that I am a competitor, there is something about Emilinks that make me smile. The fact that Emilinks decided to remember we, writers touched me a lot. Most firms focus on only musicians, dancers and rappers, forgetting that writers have skills to project to the main world. For doing this, you have won my respect.
Back to the main discourse at hand.

This topic of substandard products can’t be over flogged. If we are not tackling the death of people from using fake drugs, it would be the issue of people dying because their tyres were fake.
If it’s not the issue of being poisoned by adulterated food items, it’s the case of house items destroying very easily.
As long as human society continue to exist, there will still exist alongside some unscrupulous humans in the form of some contractors. What we can do is to reduce it to the barest minimum.
There was a time that it was cliche and common place for houses in Lagos to collapse. That was the epoch before Fashola stepped in and decided to revamp the system.

The only advantage of using fake materials might be that you have saved a little change. Ask yourself if the lives of those you intend to put in harm’s way is worth it.

There are a lot of disadvantages of using fake building materials, instead of patronizing trustworthy companies like Emilinks and Co.
The most important of all disadvantages is the loss of lives and properties.
Nigerians have died from the negligence of building contractors and building owners. Sometimes, I sit down and wonder if there is still an iota of conscience left in their soul.
Some kids have been plunged into the abyss of poverty because their parents had died during building collapse. Some parents have gone into permanent depression because their kids have died in likewise manner.

Before we, as humans think of patronizing substandard products distributors, we should think of the families that would be ruined in the process.
You should ponder of the kids that would be forced into hawking, prostitution and armed robbery to survive because of the death of their parents.

Everything is not about money. We should still have a bit of compassion in us. #EMILINKS #MYDOORSTORY #DAY30

Not everyone was born with a silver spoon, some were born with Diamond ones, while the rest had to manage with the wooden spoons. I belonged to those who had to manage the wooden spoon life had doled out to us.

I struggled through life, carrying one pan of mixed cement from one building to another. Life was hellish for me.
My labourer’s experience really helped me to know a lot about substandard materials and the havoc they have wrecked on many humans.

Using substandard materials while building a house could be likened to drinking adulterated drugs when ill. What would be the outcome?

Nothing good would surely come out of the venture. Just as the drugs might end up killing some humans, a building erected with fake building materials would end up collapsing on the tenants’ heads.

The difference between the prices of those fake brands, and brands who knew their onion, like Emilinks might not even be much.
But some contractors would prefer to watch humans give up the ghost than patronize good brands like Emilinks.

A case to buttress this fact happened not quite long. As a writer, I had a laptop, where I took down my work. In the apartment I lived in back then, had a weak door.
I might have been at fault for agreeing to move into such a house with such door, but my lack of finances also added its own part.

I came back one morning from night class to find my door wide open, and my laptop where my life work was, had gone missing.

No words could paint the sorrow I felt.
Assuming the door was one manufactured by Emilinks, the laptop would have been with me, right now.
Save yourself a lot of stress by using Emilinks.

They say “if knowledge is expensive, try ignorance”. Ignorance led my former neighbour back to his humble beginnings. Ohh! Hw Mr. Kofo – my neighbour loved QUANTITY and he doesn’t care about QUALITY things unlike his friend Mr.Wale who wouldn’t go for anything less than QUALITY . After both friend’s worked for d government for so many, they retired and decided to use their entitlement to build a house.Been close friends, they decided to build in d same vicinity, they used the same building style but the difference was the QUALITY of the building materials. Eventually, they completed their houses and both moved in.
As time went by,Mr kofo started experiencing problems ranging from leaking roofs, termites infestations, cracked walls to mention a few.Unlike Mr. Wale who was enjoying his money’s worth because he patronized QUALITY materials especially the wood aspect. Mr.Wale used #Emilinks wood for his roof frame and was protected from leaking roof and also used #Emilinks termites-proof doors,Kitchen cabinets and wardrobes and so free from termites infestations. Unfortunately for Mr.Kofo he had to sell the house because the cost of repairing was becoming unbearable.

From Oyo to Akwa Ibom, Kaduna to Lagos, Abuja to Edo and from Lake Chad to Sokoto, the importance of building houses with quality materials and not substandard materials in homes and society cannot be overemphasized. Houses built with substandard materials will not stand the test of times. Statistics has it that, 5 out of every 1000 houses collapse every day in Nigeria and 70% of the collapsed building is caused by the use of substandard materials in construction of the building. Foreign observers have also proposed that the number of collapsed buildings in Nigeria will double in the next 5 years.
Furthermore, apart from death as a result of Road Traffic accidents and diseases like Malaria, Diabetes and Hypertension, Death of persons due to collapse of buildings has increased dramatically.

We have seen and read of how a family was wiped out because of the collapse of a building constructed with substandard material. We can’t afford to live our lives by chance. That is why Emilinks is here. A touch of Emilinks on a building guarantees it’s safety because if it is substandard, then Emilinks name cannot be on it.

In the jingle, Two friends deliberating on which furniture ti buy were advised to go for Emilinks by a supposed angel. One agreed, while the other declined. The one who agreed proceeded to buy the needed furniture from Emilinks. On getting to the warehouse, he was told to pick a number, he did and he was told his building will be accessed by the company and if satisfied that he has used quality materials, he would be rewarded. He was rewarded with quality doors and wardrobes which his friend tried to steal out of envy. Unfortunately, he was caught because the door lock couldn’t be picked. His friend did not want to prosecute but however severed the bond of friendship. He is at home alone and ashamed because it was what ensued between him and His friend that was adapted into the jingle

    Day30
I am always proud to show off our house because it was built with quality materials and also very beautiful. Before my dad built our house, we were living in a public yard where everybody shares the same bathroom, toilet and even kitchen and many a times we end up going to the hospital 3 to 4 times in a month either to treat ourselves of toilet infection or malaria arising from the mosquito bits because there were no mosquitoes nets in all the windows and the doors were half eaten by termites. We continued suffering in that compound until one day when my younger brother returned from school and went to the bathroom to take his bathonly for bathroom wall to fell down and trapped my brother in there. It the timely intervention of one of our neighbors who raised an alarm immediately that saved my brother’s life and after that deadly incident, my dad then decided to develop a piece of land he bought years ago in other to give his family the comfort, security, privacy and good living that we deserve and he immediately built our house with the best building materials from Emilinks and since then, we have been secured and living happily ever after. #Emilinks #MyDoorStory

    Day 30
Staying in benin, I have seen different types of buildings, I have seen the gud, the bad , and the terrible!!! This made me more aware of the advantages of good and quality building materials and also of the disadvantages of Substandard materials .
I acquired a piece of land in a water logged area, but I am not suffering like others are because I made sure I used quality materials… When the rains come, my neighbours would sometimes pack some of their properties to my place to protect them from the water! Mmm, Substandard materials are terrible! It’s been 10yrs now, and my building is still standing… Some desert their homes during raining season and come back during dry season. Thanks to Emilinks for producing quality products, because of these quality products, I’m not running up and down… Be like me, get quality products and have peace of mind, Get Emilinks product… I have tested them and I’m still trusting them.

    Day 30
I have a firsthand information on the terrible things that could occur as a result of using Substandard materials…
It was the last day in orientation camp(Nysc) I received my posting letter and was glad I was posted to a tertiary institution… I never knew that was the place I was going to learn a very valuable lesson from. I was posted as an assistant lecturer, so one day I had class and the course rep informed me on the venue of the lecture hall. It was the popular “UNITY HALL”. On getting there, the sight of the chairs and table was annoying, you could see fake written all over them. I eventually decided to ignore them and focus on my lecture, since it was my very first lecture.
Surprisingly and shockingly, we heard a loud thud and the building we were in, shook! My life flashed before my eyes.. My heart ran and left me. . . I was confusion personified. We were hearing screams and prayers from outside, dome students and I eventually gathered heart and mind, and slowly tip-toed outside only to find out that the stairs had fallen off, the school called a rescue team and we came down thru a ladder . It’s as horrible as it sounds. .. I was traumatized for weeks. . . The school management, brought down the whole building and started building, but this time, with quality materials! Someone eventually tod tod them of Emilinks… I’m still serving here and the new and rebranded unity hall is isaisalmost completed, u cud smell the quality materials a mile away. Thanks to Emilinks, another corper and students wouldn’t have to go thru my ordeal. Thus is my story.. I. I have of course learnt the importance of using quality materials the hard way!

    Day 30
The demerits or disadvantages of using Substandard materials while building cannot be over emphasized… The damages the use of Substandard materials has caused are too numerous to mention. My cousin has an everlasting scar on her back because of a Substandard wardrobe that was installed in the house… You could detect the wardrobe was fake by simply looking at the wardrobe, the wardrobe had sharp edges and would cut you if care if not taken! On a Saturday afternoon about 2yrs ago, my cousin, Steph, was in her room, she was busy arranging her room and she opened the wardrobe door to keep clothes, mistakenly, some feel down, so she bent over to pick them up as she was standing up, the wardrobe door shifted and she pushed her back to the sharp corner of the wardrobe! The wardrobe pierced her back and the result of that is the scar on her back… We thank God it wasn’t worse than that, but the situation would have completely be avoided if only the wardrobe was a quality wardrobe like dat made by Emilinks. It is better to use quality materials and save yourself the stress and pains of having scars for the rest of your life. #Emilinks #MyDoorStory

What use is beauty without comfort and durability? In the past, our society has been affected by substandard building materials, a wise man once told me that a city is only as beautiful as its buildings but today I tell u,a city is only as strong as its buildings. Let’s take for instance the early century when when a city only depend on the strength of its walls for its defence. The stronger the walls, the stronger and safer the city and its inhabitants. These walls are so strong only because of standard and quality materials used for its construction. In our society today, substandard building materials have led to the collapse of many buildings. In a society where the common believe is that only the rich can afford standard building materials, the CEO emilinks,in a famous and patriotic campaign to eliminate substandard and fake building materials, has helped in all most total elimination of substandard and fake materials from our markets, and he also made materials such as doors, wardrobes, furniture and all sorts of finishings very affordable for everyone. In his magnanimity and patriotism,he slashing the prices of this materials so all can’t enjoy comfort, strength, beauty and durability. Emilinks has made the dream of owning a comfortable and durable homes by average Nigerians possible. God bless emilinks. God bless Nigeria. Day 30 #emilinks #mydoorstory

Am an Architecture student of federal polytechnic Nekede,I was recently one of the lucky students selected to take part in the construction of a 500 capacity lecture hall with offices. As an Architecture student of the school, most of us took part in its construction as means of enhancing our practical knowledge. During the construction, the engineer in charge made sure all the materials used where of standard, the rector had warned before the construction that she won’t tolerate the use of substandard materials due to the horrors she witnessed in previous buildings around the school. Those buildings constructed with inferior materials never last more than three years and roofs will start pealing off,the doors damaged, the interior finishing all damaged and before 5 years the building is almost useless. So,on this building a trusted engineer was awarded the contract and he made sure all the materials used for dis building where of standard and good quality. It was really during this building that I and my fellow students heard of the emilinks brand. On one occasion, the engineer took me and one other student to Aba where he buys materials, all the doors and office furniturs he ordered where all emilinks brands, out of curiosity I asked him, sir, why are all the doors and furnitures of one brand? He replied, because emilinks have proved to be a trustworthy name in the building industry. He promptly told us that with emilinks, your building is safe guaranteed. And he has been using the brand in all his constructions since he found emilinks. Its been more than six months since the construction was completed and I went the just last week to confirm the engineer’s testimony and he is very right. Every part of that building, the doors, interiors and furnitures are all intact. Still new as if they where installed yesterday. Am convinced that this building is so beautiful and strong because it was touched by emilinks. Day30 #emilinks #mydoorstory

    #DAY30
#Emilinks There was a saying that not all that looks good outside are good not until the inside is verified and reviewed, I will try to relate this to a house acquired by my brother as a situation office. And I will say it is unwise of every building contractors going for substandard materials all in the name of let’s manage it like that which in turn will create dooms or havoc to our society, whereby what is supposed to be called shelter will then turn out to be death trap. Forgetting that quality materials makes a house to become a home that advocates ZERO tolerance for havoc. Not knowing, that singular act of him making use of substandard materials all in the name of lets manage will creates havocs in return.

This house was newly built with so much beautiful decorations that it got the attention of my brother, which lead him to making an enquiry about the said house, which he later acquired as his situation office, but a lot happened three months after we begin to experience a lot of problem relating to doors, ceiling and roofing licking whenever it is raining.

As per that which concerns the difficulties I faced with doors in the house, words is not enough to explained it but instead witnessing it by oneself. Do you people knew it that, it happened every single day that it will took me several minutes before I could open the entrance door with much energy that will involve at least two people dragging it before it will open, and this is applicable to every single door in there, those looks fancy but it’s an imitation.

This doors keys has all worn-out we keep changing keys over and over, and many other repairs done, the designed tiles used on the front wall faded off in just six month of completion and some falling of the wall same thing applicable to those used in inside, the one that will have put an end to my existence her on earth was the day the P.O.P in waiters room almost collapse on I and other waiters which I was attending to.

There comes a day as well, as we were trying to open the door as usual the door handle was broken in which the door opened but both of us trying to open it fell off apart sustaining several injuries, there was a day too when I was in toilet the door jammed I try every possible best to open it but all proved abortive what saved me that day was that am with phone, I then called a colleague there in the office who came over, it even took him 12 to 15 minutes before he could be able to open the door.

Nobody never expected it, We gathered in my Aunty’s house all having fun. My Aunty and her family just moved in so it more like a house warming and family re union. Everything was going as planned, intact we had no light issue. So the DJ kept on giving us jams.

Since it was a new environment, we had no neighbor complaining except the labourers working on the new site beside her compound, We went over to invite them for dinner. Immediately they got into our place. There’s this heavy crackdown, everyone trooped outside to check what is going on.
Luckily for the labourers it was the site they were working on collapsing. I was mute for a long time, cos I never expected what I just saw.
Later on, we heard that the building materials used are mostly substandard and couldn’t hold on with the sound waves by the speaker used by the DJ. This made me more conscious and whatever is worth doing is worth doing well, Emilinks is living proof that will do have quality and original building product in our country.

“My name is Dozie”, he said as he stretched out his broad palm towards me. I also introduced myself as Barrister Okeke as we both shook hands with warm smiles on our faces. “You also building a house”? I asked him. “Yes, about to fix the doors and windows”, he replied.

It was a sunny afternoon, I went to checkout some quality doors at the building material market when I met Dozie who also was doing same. Just as we were still checking out the available stocks, my phone rang and it was my wife calling. She told me that a colleague of hers advised we go for #Emilinks doors because they are durable, qualitative and affordable. Without wasting much time I told Dozie about it but he was reluctant in coming with me to go shopping for #Emilinks doors saying I was taking the words of a woman serious. We exchanged complimentary cards and I left. I was glad I did because I ended up getting what I desired for. They were quite affordable and qualitative.

A month later, a call came in from Dozie that he is dire need of my service. With the urgency in his voice we arranged on how to meet. When we eventually met, he narrated his ordeal. He said he regretted not going with me to get #Emilinks doors the last time we met because presently he wants to sue the merchant who sold the doors to him. He then narrated how he ended up buying substandard building materials and doors for his site which started cracking within two weeks and to make matters worst, his residence was attacked a week later by armed bandits. With a single kick on the door it gave way and he and his family were robbed and severely dealt with.

So tragic people ‘s houses were destroyed by the strong wind. People died, we were moody, then my turned to me and said Chris, do you really know why your Dad chose Emilinks for building materials when he was building this house?. I said no. Few years ago I lost a cousin due to the collapse of a building on him and his friends, They had gone into town to get lunch in a regular joint of theirs, according to eye witnesses the building had been there one minute and the next it had suddenly collapsed, the only indication being a loud noise, the building a one storey complex that housed various shops and a resturant had stood for only two years before suddenly collapsing taking about 20 lives and leaving a lot others seriously injured, there had also been property damage estimated to about 3 million worth in naira, Later investigations showed that the blocks used for the building had been mixed with too much sand which had eventually worn out leading to the building’s collapse. if standard blocks had been layed, the death of innocent citizens like my cousin and his friends could have been avoided.
Using substandard materials for building is a menace that the society can live without, it’s always better to build with good quality materials to ensure the safety of future tenants and the public in general and also your own life in cases of private residence, it is not enough to build a house, how safe is the house? , can it withstand long periods of heavy rainfall and sunshine? Get good quality materials for building and have peace of mind even in storms.Let’s join emilinks in promoting the use of safe quality materials and make the society a better and safe place

I was sleeping in the second floor of the building when I heard the sound not too long before I went to bed at about 10 -10:30 pm on a Wednesday Night. At first I thought it was a bomb before I could realize anything I heard crack sound again and the entire building went down with the whole eight of us sleeping in different rooms.
Sleeping next to me was my cousin James. We were both displaced when the building collapsed. James was sheltered by two beams that created a relief over-lay that prevented the concrete from crushing him to death. Everything went black when the building collapsed and I could not move. The only thing I did was digging the sand with my two hands looking for a way out but all effort could not direct me to any exit point. I was in between the building for hours until help found me on Thursday afternoon about 1pm. It is an experience I don’t even wish for an enemy, it was a near death experience. Investigations later proved the building collapsed due to sub-standard building materials.
What I can advice to prevent happenings like this is provision of housing for people. If each person still needs to struggle to build his own house with inadequate money, he hardly can pay for
good quality. Also if the industry is not well regulated and anybody can be a contractor just because you have access to people who are in a position to give you contracts, then this buildings collapsing might just not end. #Emilinks #MyDoorStory #Day30

    Thief oooo, thief oooo
was the sound that woke me up from my siesta
    on a faithful Friday afternoon.
Mrs Aduke has just returned from market and her
children were away in school. she put down her
goods and brought out the keys that opens the
padlock to the front door. To her surprise, it was
open, she thought to herseld,”I am so sure i
locked this door before i left this morning for the
market or maybe these children are back from
school”. As she got into her room, she put on the
light and her room was almost empty with the
mattress turned upside down; then it dawn on
her that her house has been burgled. She tried
open other doors. it was of no use as all the
locks were broken. Immediately she screamed
“Am finished”. Of course the burglars really
finished her. they left nothing. All she had left
was the clothes she wore to the market. As
people gathered, they noticed that the burglars
came in through the ceiling at the back of the
house and they left through the window by
creating a space through the burglary proof with
a metal object they found inside the house. Mrs
Aduke had to mourn for weeks as if someone
died. She was indoors for quite a long time until
she was able to have at least two changes of
clothes. What pained her most was that, she was
just a tenant in the house. she had to suffer the
consequences of using substandard materials in
the house she lived. Tenants and house owners
go for a house with quality materials for the
safety of lives and properties. go for a house

I was at their house warming party. A young couple were opening their new home worth 2 million naira. Everyone from friends to family and even outsiders were there to celebrate with them. They and their children (a boy and a girl) were all smiles and enjoying the moment. The party was great and everyone had fun.
Two weeks later, the children of this young couple just got from school and after eating went to sleep. Dad was away for work and Mum went to the market for some groceries. Then I heard a loud noise from my house. It was so loud I thought it was Rapture. After some time I came out to check what had caused the noise, the new house had collapsed. I was hoping nobody was home when it happened, but some people were. The two children died in the rubble instantly. Their bodies were laid side by side outside the collapsed building. Tears rolled freely from everyone’s eyes present including mine. Young lives cut short just like that.
Not long after that, the mother arrived with things she bought from the market. Seeing the multitude of people, she ran and uncovered what was going on. Loss of house and loss of her two beautiful children. She lost it, she tore her clothes…yes she ran mad.
A week later, the husband commited suicide following the tragedy that be fell him, but he left a note. In it he confessed he asked his friend to help him build 2million naira house with 1.5million no matter what it took. He knew his friend was gonna use cheap and low quality materials but I was ready to take the risk just to feel among. Now he lost his whole family, wasting away innocent lives. His end is what he deserved wouldn’t you argee?

I would first all like to say a big thank you to Emilinks for this great platform via which so many of us have enjoyed stretching our creative sides even to the extent of going out ink. And to think that the topic for the final week is really timely is another wonderful factor for loving this.

This news came in hours ago “Reports filtering in to New Telegraph are indicating that an unknown number of people are feared dead or trapped after a building collapsed at the Dosunmu bus stop area of Agidingbi in Lagos.
According to the spokesman of the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, Ibrahim Farinloye, the incident was caused by a landslide.

Farinloye also disclosed that during rescue operations, one woman was brought out from the rubble dead.
    More details later…”

I am certain that for a country like ours that is yet to experience earthquakes, by the time the details for this collapse comes in, we will surely see it that it was due to Substandard Materials used in the building of that house.
Stories like this will always be told but fortunately can be stopped if only the use and patronizing of substandard materials are put to a FULL STOP!
It is better to go for the best in order to have peace and life than use Substandard materials and be restless or worse DEAD. Always go for a house built with emilinks products and you can sleep with your two eyes closed. Use Emilinks because it is reliable and strong.

Buildings are essential to our sustaining a condusive living environment as well as ostentaion. Therefore, buildings generally should be made to a standard that performs the above needs. As much as we want a place where we could find comfort after the days hustle or where we can have a family or a group of individuals we would love to share ceilings with, we do well to get the best building for this. The best building isn’t basically measured by its shape, designs and decorations- wether of gold or diamonds, nor its location. The most important thing is durability and strength of its structures.
This quality can only be got from the use standard building materials. The importance of this is obviously and primarily because the owner would want a structure that would not collapse and course death, loss of properties, loss of money and in a while there may b charges and suits.
The builder would prefer standard building materials to fake nd substandard because of the fact that use of these materials would yield most importantly, a good building that is durable and fortified to resist to a reasonable extent the climatic and weather conditions and factors of the place where the building is being built and to resist the weight of equipments and facilities that it was purposed to contain or the properties of the person’s that will inhabit it. The builder also know that using good materials would save him from having a bad reputation as a building engineer, a business man and a human with morality.
Another importance of building with good materials is that it costs little money to maintain. This is due to the fact that need for frequent repairs would not arise as compared to that built with substandard material. Lives would be save in advance and the the inhabitants would bear no risk of collapses as there would b no faults or cavities to worry the mind.
At last one would accomplish his wants of both condusive living and ostentaion.

Buildings serve as ‘walls of protection’. It covers us from the unholy outside. If protection is the key reason of having a building, it is the important that it is made to accomplish that need. We should ensure that our buildings are made with standard materials to serve as protection alongside comfort and a place to carry our lots in the world……
The importance of using good materials cannot be over emphasised. For the durability and the assurance that these walls we put our faith in especially while we sleep at night, do not be the it that causes loss of our lives or lives of other, loss of money and properties.
The importance of using good materials is also necessary because, when we build house, we do them not for temporary needs but for a far long term demand even as long as our lives.. So the buildings would be able to accomplish our main reason for building them.

D land was a mashy area.To our understanding no soil test was carried out. D blocks did not appear to be strong either. We heard D project supervisor telling D builders Dat they would manage D iron rods brought by the supplier @ a cheap cost. My father took his friend aside&had a conversation with him,my mind wasn’t really there though.
The work progressed and within 3weeks of commencement ,the completion of the building from foundation to Decken.
Some of the construction laborers converted the building as a temporal sleeping place at night.

It was such a terrifying incident. My Dad saw his friend& showed sympathy concerning his loss. It was Later brought to our knowledge dat D site supervisor bought substandard iron rods which was below specifications & sand used in the building was dug up from a nearby gutter.Later that day he received a call frm D hospital saying 1of a worker lost his life.It was a very sad news. All Dis wouldn’t have happened if Quality building Materials was Used.

When building your house, sustainability should be your watch word. Sustainability is a trendy word that is often tossed about, but the real definition may be lost in translation at times.

Merriam Webster dictionary refers to the meaning of sustainable as, being able to be used without being used up or destroyed; methods that do not completely use up or destroy natural resources; able to last for a very long time. Essentially, to sustain something is to keep it and make it last for future generations.

With this definition in mind, it is therefore very important that quality materials are used when building or purchasing your house. I know in some cases people rather prefer going for substandard materials because they are cheap forgetting what will become of that house in the long run or in the future. People often forget bad or substandard materials come cheap because they have low sustainability therefore they only last for a short period of time and cannot stomach damages that may arise as time goes on causing the house to be in a very terrible and unsafe state or in some cases causing it to collapse leading to a traumatising experience that overwhelms ones state of mind .

The damages that substandard materials cause are too numerous to be mentioned.
should we start from causing premature death or losing of priced processions or even the death of decades of achievements and hard work? Later they would say its “people from the village” that is doing them not knowing they are the ones responsible for their predicament. it hurts me to the bone, when i see the results of using substandard materials while building a house because such pain and damage could have been be averted just by doing something very simple which is, using quality materials when building.

I strongly believe that if we all come together and build our houses with quality materials and products, it will help reduce the rate of premature or timely death, preserve our priced processions, achievements, and hard work and also it will help us store memories that can be kept for our generations unborn. Lets not forget it saves money in the long run.

Therefore when building your house, you should ask yourself certain questions so you don’t end up with a pile of regrets. So, ALWAYS use quality materials such as #Emiinks and its likes to build your house as #Emiinks is an insurance of sustainability I forever trust #Emilinks as Quality is their top Priority . #EMILINKS #MYDOORSTORY #DAY30

O my way reaching her residence, the next thing i hear was thief! thief!! as she continues calling for help, hmm! i tried to take an eagle eye look towards her building, there comes those three hefty Men coming out from her house, carrying what they have stolen. But unfortunately enough the thieves heard the sound of their saloon and out of fear of the police they know carrying all that they have stollen will give them tough time, but they decided to drop everything as they find their way and escaped and obviously, they were on masked that not even my neighbor nor I could see their faces. That days event, shocked everybody so much as everybody returns and the story was aired to everyone’s hearing. It was later, that the woman(my neighbor) said that the bag of which they would have carried contain a huge amount of money of which her husband kept at home, hopping to take it to the bank later that day.
It is obvious that all these happened because the house was not built up to standard with a quality & gud materials.

#Emilinks, #MyDoorStory. Day30.

My dad is a building contractor and as the first son of the family, whenever he has a building project, I go with him to the site.My dad is known for been a man of principles and this he took into his job.He goes for the best when constructing a building. From the woods to the blocks to the mixture of the sand and cement(not using more SAND than the CEMENT to keep money in his pocket). There are a whole lot of gifts from his clients in the house showing appreciation for a work well done. The use of good building materials for the construction of a house cannot be overemphasized. The house remains for years, from generation to generation. Stories of collapsed buildings do not come from buildings that were built with quality materials but from those built with cheap materials.A house built with good materials feels like a safe haven and you are certain of protection when you have doors like EMILINKS in the house too even though we know God is the ultimate giver of protection. You want that house to be seen by your CHILDREN, GRANDCHILDREN, GREAT GRANDCHILDREN then use quality building materials and some of these can be gotten from Emilinks.Thank you Emilinks.

Building in form of houses, offices, factories and other forms, serves importantly as ‘walls for protection’. It’s importance can not be overspoken of. Many times in the anals of history have men be spoken about seeking refuge under crags and rocks which are buildings of nature. in warring or climatically unstable times. If these buildings were not made up to the qualities they potray and in extension, the service they render, they would never be sort for refuge or inhabitance by men.
As humans, we are naturally inclined to achieve the best of results and so our buildings should not materialize in way that deviates of the tracks of our inclination.
The importance of using good materials in building should be emphasised in our course of building. The reasons of using standard building materials are as follows
The cost of building and maintaining a building built with standard materials will in the long run be lower than that built with substandard building merchandise. It can be likened to buying a good leather shoe of 1000naira and use it for five year and only making about 120 naira expenses on maintenance and a little repair compared to buy a cheap and substandard one for 200 naira nd in the same period as the former, spend about 1300 in even more repairs than maintenance.
Another reason is durability. Good materials yield more durable buildings than substandard ones. Most buildings that collapses are as a result of substandard building materials being used. This could also lead to loss of lives and properties.
Finishing touches with good materials produces beautiful and long lasting designs to the building. This is comparatively different to the temporary, dull or fading effect that substandard materials have on buildings.
Many companies have tried in stressing these with their good services of producing and using standard building materials in building. Emilink beign one of the foremost and other related companies should keep on with this so as to ensure real protection walls for humanity.
