Countdown to Art X Lagos – A Fusion of Art, Lifestyle & Culture | Saturday, November 5

It’s a few days to ART X Lagos, a new art fair designed to widen Nigeria’s connection to the contemporary art scene in Africa and the rest of the world.

ART X Lagos will launch from Friday November 4^th to Sunday 6^th 2016, with an annual 3-day art fair and exhibition that will inspire Nigerians, bring the international art world to Lagos, and place the city of Lagos on the global cultural map as a cosmopolitan destination. ART X Lagos promises to be a fusion of Art, Lifestyle and entertainment as there are a lot of programs lined up for art lovers, collectors and music buffs.

One program that has us really excited is ART X Live! ART X Live has two components, ART X Live: Live Artists curated by A Whitespace Creative Agency, where a collective of emerging artists will be drawing and painting live at the venue! These artists include Uthman Wahaab, Wura-Natasha Ogunji, Yadichinma 
Ukoha-Kalu, Osi Itegboje, Stacey Okparavero, Olatunde Alara, Kadara Enyeasi and Karo Akpokiere.

There is also ART X Live: Intersections, a live art and sound performance installation fusing emerging visual artists and 4 of the fastest rising music artistes, produced by Ikon. Intersections, is co-curated by Fatherland Media and A Whitespace Creative Agency, and stars Vector, Simi, Falana and Poe who will be performing with Yadichinma, Stacey Ravvero, Tunde Alara and Dricky.

These dynamic live art and interactive performances and projects promise to surprise, thrill and make the fair an attractive day-out for guests.
