Honestly speaking their reasons for keeping the house in SA are very invalid. Just too stupid. We have equally available facilities in Nigeria. MNET/Multichoice just has an ulterior motive. Was the first BBNaija house not in Nigeria? Ikeja for that matter. Was it not fine and functional? Even the Voice Naija, inside SA. Abegi commot.

You have to look at behind the scene logistics. The house and facilities inside are fine however what about light?

What about equipment and personnel. It will cost extra to have it run in nigeria. With corruption making things harder e.g. paying of touts it’s easier to have it in SA

Are you serious? Do you see the power situation in Nigeria? Plus the price of fuel right now? Fuel isn’t even stable, one day it’s available, the next thing there’s fuel scarcity. It doesn’t make sense. Plus, you can’t compare the country now to how it was 10 years ago.

If the show is hosted in naija, the kind of loss they will incure in powering diesel for generators will be out of this world.

@babygurl, of course, their response is being diplomatic and PR okay, they wnt come and tell you “no light”, “security issues”, “no water” etc. but as at today, the power situation in Nigeria amongst other things is horrible. Personally I’ve not seen a blink of light for over 72 hours and this is same for most people across the country, do u know how much diesel that will cost to keep the show running? I didn’t like d idea of the show being in SA initially but with d way our economy and country is set up now, I think I understand their reasons.

what is the importance of movies, music videos, video games or reality tv? All na entertainment. Just because it isn’t your cup of tea isn’t reason enough for you to deem it unimportant.

25million prize money for a group of horny and jobless lots that would spend the next eleven weeks having fun, posing semi nude and turning up. Yet we have youths that need just a fraction of that money to do businesses that would transform life’s and the economy. What a waste of space.

I really think big brother should add a little bit of what is going on in nigeria in the game show e.g they housemates shouldn’t have steady power supply and let’s see how they would adjust to that. That way we can pass a little message to the world through the show. Just an idea.
