Nigerian-British Actor John Boyega stars alongside Gbenga Akinnagbe, Anthony Mackie & More in American Riot Drama “Detroit” | Watch the Trailer

The first trailer for Detroit has been released and it tells the gripping story of one of the darkest moments during the civil unrest that rocked Detroit in the summer of ’67.

John Boyega stars as a policeman caught in the middle of one of the most violent revolts in American history.

The movie also features an all-star cast including  Will Poulter, Algee Smith, Jacob Latimore, Kaitlyn Dever, Jack Reynor, John Krasinski, Anthony Mackie, Ben O’Toole, Joseph David Jones, Ephraim Sykes, Leon Thomas III, Nathan Davis Jr., Jason Mitchell, Hannah Murray, Peyton Alex Smith, Malcolm David Kelley, Gbenga Akinnabge, Chris Chalk, Jeremy Strong, Laz Alonzo, Austin Hebert, Miguel Pimentel, and Kris Davis.

Academy Award winner Kathryn Bigelow directed the movie.
