Now this guy is not even a Nigerian but he is vigorously fighting for African sound to be reckon with. Please they should credit wizzy for all his efforts in music

When will Africans especially Nigerians learn not to seek so much validation from outside??? What is wrong with us?? This is how history gets lost and now wiz kid music is carribean. They will steal the legacy. Which at this point is not even stealing anymore because he freely collabs with them just for the money and fame of being associated with them. They will disrespect him/us, steal from him/us and never give him/us credit. They already saying his sound is not african, it’s mixed. That’s how it starts.

Whether you collaborate with them or not, they will still steal it. It’s better it’s on your terms and you make as much money from it as you can, while you can.

My people, It’s not always about money. Not everything is about money. Wizkid pretty much changed the face of African music and greatly influenced caribean and hip hop music. His legacy is way more important to Africa and Nigeria than money for god’s sake. I am not saying he shouldn’t collab or make a profit, but he needs to make sure that when he works with them he gets his recognition/respect and credit is given where credit is due and people recognize that it is his sound and purely African. We should not sell our history for money!
